I went to the Whitehall TRU today cause it said online they had some in stock..... NADA!

I had to go to Phillipsburg for something and checked out the Walmart there and all I found were beds and carriers. While Iwas there I looked in the TRU... nada, but they did have a sign up stating the hamsters are limited to 3 per day or 1 3pk or something like that.

I got the fun ball and surfboard at the Whitehall store and they were the last two items on the shelf. That was around 11 am yesterday. No hamsters, but I"ll keep my eye you!

I got a lot of 3 on Ebay for cheaper than it would have been to order 3 from walmart.com! It pays to keep checking!

I bought a couple of the hamsters a few days ago after reading the first page of this thread. They didn't have any displayed at Walmart, but I asked an employee and she went to the back and brought back a box with four hamsters. I bought two, not realizing how difficult they are to find. I actually bought them for a friend's two boys, ages 6 & 7. I thought I'd try to find the skateboard and car/garage to go with each of them. Does anyone think they will even interest little boys (who are VERY rough and roudy)? If not, I had thought I would either return them or save them to donate to a child off the Angel Tree or Ronald McDonald House. Anyone here with boys that age whose boys want Zhu Zhu hamsters and accessories for Christmas gifts? Or should I give them to little girls? Thanks for the help.

I am currently looking for them for my 6yr old son who wants them. I'm also helping a friend look for her boys 5, 7,8,10. That said... I think a child off an Angel tree who really wants them would appreiciate and enjoy them more than the boys will (even if they say they really want them). Sometimes the smallest gesture is the biggest gift.

Toys R Us - has it at the HOT toy of the christmas season... EEEEK --- I guess I would prefer this over the real thing... so far I havent seen a commerical but I am sure I will be getting one for my DD...

I went to Walmart today and found 2 more items! Now I have 2 hamsters, 2 bed/carrier sets, funhouse, garage/car, skateboard/ramp, wheel/tunnel and the spiral slide. All I can say is these things seem cheap when purchased individually, but I have already spent $120 on these things!!! I do want to find the adventure ball and pink hamster....but I am not sure my wallet can handle any more Zhu Zhu pets!!!

I have found some differences in pricing between Walmart and TRU...only about $1-2, but it adds up after purchasing a bunch of these things!

I didn't even look at this thread when it started I didn't want to know what I was missing. But DD was invited to a party, the mom told me anything Zhu Zhu I thought how hard can that be. So the hunt started.
I was very lucky and we have 2 walmarts in our little town. For the birthday girl I got a ball and a bed, no hamsters were to be found. But the birthday girl had one.
But now my kids saw them and liked them. I also purchased my kids a ball and a bed cause, darn they were cute. Walmart told my this Friday a shipment was due. Friday on my way home no Zhu Zhus yet. This AM I called and they had 2 left and they held them for us--pipsquek (yellow and DS first choice) and chuck (white DD 3rd choice). We would be driving by the other one on the way to grandmas so I called and they had more. We did a quick stop and got Mr Squiggles (light brown DD 1st choice).
I told the kids they could have them in November and they decided to buy them with their own money and have them today. They are fast, and the kids are enjoying them. We do not plan on buying the house. Walmart had two of the cars but they need to connect to the big house and for $15 we decided we didn't need them. I think the white one is going back unless we are invited to another party. And the birthday girl told DD she loved her gift.

Found a great seller on eBay who ships for free. The few dollars more I paid for the hamster and garage was far worth not to have to stress over finding them. luvneor is the seller. Hope I can list that here.

Just picked up the car/garage at Walmart for 15.00. Last one they had and no hamsters! They had the hooks at least tho. I think I have almost all the access. I want except the spiral slide, now I need hamsters to go w/ them!!

I almost broke down and bought them on Ebay last night. Not too bad a deal w/ free shipping. I was going to high bid at 50.00 for the 4 of them. The auction ended at 51.00. I figured if I have to end up getting them at TRU, they are 10.00/ea. there anyway and if I have to keep going back since they are limiting, it would be nice to just have them delivered to my door. But in the end I couldn't do it. Figured I'd keep looking this week and hopefully find some locally. But it's getting to be a pain!!

I am not sure where they are in TRU, but at Walmart they are in the same area as the Littlest Pet Shop stuff. The boxes are blue and yellow.

Hi fellow Hamster hunters! Did you see they have now put out 4 NEW hamsters- Winkie (black and white); Scoodles (brown), Nugget (yellowish) and Jilly (pink- I'm not sure I've ever seen a live pink hamster, but whatever). I found and purchased the 1st 4 (Chunk, Pipsqueak, Squiggles and Num Nums), so I'm definitely going to stop there, but for those of you who love the thrill of the hunt, you have more to chase now!

Got lucky today. our TRU got a big shipment in. They were limiting to 2 hamsters and accesories per person tho. I was able to get (with a little help from my MIL and a friend) the funhouse,2 spiral slides, car/garage, and 2 wheels for my DS and niece and nephew. I now only need 2 skateboard/uturn sets, 1 adventure ball and 1 sleepdome/surfboard and I am done! Each kid is getting 2 hamsters. If they want the newer ones after Christmas I'll look for them then.
