Hi guys! Luckily my computer is back to the land of the living so I am back to regular updates!!!
When I last left off, it was 6:00 and we had finished up a yummy dinner at 1900 Park Fare and were debating about going to MK for MSEP and Wishes. We ended up deciding to try it out and see how miserable it was. We made our way up to the monorail platform (saying a little prayer on the way up), and hopped on for the quick trip to the MK! Yeah! No monorail breakdown!!!!
We entered pretty quickly and grabbed a spot right in the hub in front of Tony's right around 6:30 or so. We soon realized that it was freaking FREEZING out!!!! I had Toby hold our spot while I took Olivia into the Emporium in search of a blanket. She immediately saw the Castle Lights blanket (the one that was $16 with a $40 purchase). Luckily, I still had my receipt from the Castle playset I bought earlier so I was able to get the blanket! I unwrapped the nice, soft blanket and covered Olivia up nice and tight and we headed back out into the arctic...I mean Main Street.
We made our way back to Toby and just hung out until 7:00. Toby and Livy were playing their mad/sad/happy face game.
I grabbed one more pic, just before the parade stepped off, so we could remember just how cold it was!
After the parade Toby was ready to head back to the hotel, but I REALLY, REALLY wanted a PP picture of us in front of the castle all lit up, and since this was the only night I was planning on being at MK, this was our only chance. I talked him in to heading towards the castle to get my picture. It was pure chaos heading that way....most people were trying to get out, as we wanted to get further in! We had to go all the way over to the Rose Garden to get a picture. I'm so glad we did though!!
By the time we had our picture taken it was only about 5 minutes until Wishes was going to start so Toby decided to just stay until his favorite part of the show: when the single red fireworks shoot up to the Fantasmic music. It was about this time when I realized that my phone was missing!
The last place I remembered having it was when I called my mom from the lobby of the GF while we were waiting for dinner. I grabbed Toby's phone and started calling mine, hoping someone would answer. Nobody did.
As the fireworks started and Olivia was ooohing and aaahing, I was almost in tears that my phone was long gone.
After Toby's favorite part of Wishes, we started to make our way towards the exit and we were just about to the buses when the finale started. We were not far back in line at all, I was super excited that we would be on a bus pretty quickly and able to thaw out. I. Was. Wrong. One bus pulled up almost immediately after we got in line, and another was right behind that one. The first bus quickly loaded up it's wheel chairs and began to let on passengers. I knew that I really wanted to sit, so cramming on that first bus was not looking good. We stepped aside and let everyone else cram on. I figured the other bus would load his wheelchairs and would be able to hop on and get a seat. The first bus finished loading and left. The second was still loading wheelchairs-for 10 more minutes!!!! You could tell the CM working the line was beyond ticked, as well as the other waiting passengers. After another 5 minutes another bus showed up and we got on right away. By the time our bus left, the other bus was just getting ready to start letting on passengers!
We were finally back at Pop and had Olivia in bed right around 9:00. I grabbed our mugs to refill and left Toby to keep calling my phone in hopes somebody would answer. For the record, nobody did.
I got back to the room around 9:30- just in time to have the most amazing view of Illuminations from our window! It was seriously a perfect view! Toby and I watched the show and talked about the day. I was a perfect ending to an amazing day!
By 11:30, I had showered, packed up for the next day and was in bed, nice and warm and ready to sleep!
Up next: Our DHS day...with a slight morning detour!
