Olivia's 3rd Birthday Extravaganza! DDxP,BBB and PP!Oh my! Our 12/10 TR! **Finished**

Hi guys! Luckily my computer is back to the land of the living so I am back to regular updates!!!

When I last left off, it was 6:00 and we had finished up a yummy dinner at 1900 Park Fare and were debating about going to MK for MSEP and Wishes. We ended up deciding to try it out and see how miserable it was. We made our way up to the monorail platform (saying a little prayer on the way up), and hopped on for the quick trip to the MK! Yeah! No monorail breakdown!!!!

We entered pretty quickly and grabbed a spot right in the hub in front of Tony's right around 6:30 or so. We soon realized that it was freaking FREEZING out!!!! I had Toby hold our spot while I took Olivia into the Emporium in search of a blanket. She immediately saw the Castle Lights blanket (the one that was $16 with a $40 purchase). Luckily, I still had my receipt from the Castle playset I bought earlier so I was able to get the blanket! I unwrapped the nice, soft blanket and covered Olivia up nice and tight and we headed back out into the arctic...I mean Main Street.

We made our way back to Toby and just hung out until 7:00. Toby and Livy were playing their mad/sad/happy face game.

I grabbed one more pic, just before the parade stepped off, so we could remember just how cold it was!

After the parade Toby was ready to head back to the hotel, but I REALLY, REALLY wanted a PP picture of us in front of the castle all lit up, and since this was the only night I was planning on being at MK, this was our only chance. I talked him in to heading towards the castle to get my picture. It was pure chaos heading that way....most people were trying to get out, as we wanted to get further in! We had to go all the way over to the Rose Garden to get a picture. I'm so glad we did though!!

Photo0292FourBySix.jpg

By the time we had our picture taken it was only about 5 minutes until Wishes was going to start so Toby decided to just stay until his favorite part of the show: when the single red fireworks shoot up to the Fantasmic music. It was about this time when I realized that my phone was missing! :scared1: The last place I remembered having it was when I called my mom from the lobby of the GF while we were waiting for dinner. I grabbed Toby's phone and started calling mine, hoping someone would answer. Nobody did. :sad1: As the fireworks started and Olivia was ooohing and aaahing, I was almost in tears that my phone was long gone.

After Toby's favorite part of Wishes, we started to make our way towards the exit and we were just about to the buses when the finale started. We were not far back in line at all, I was super excited that we would be on a bus pretty quickly and able to thaw out. I. Was. Wrong. One bus pulled up almost immediately after we got in line, and another was right behind that one. The first bus quickly loaded up it's wheel chairs and began to let on passengers. I knew that I really wanted to sit, so cramming on that first bus was not looking good. We stepped aside and let everyone else cram on. I figured the other bus would load his wheelchairs and would be able to hop on and get a seat. The first bus finished loading and left. The second was still loading wheelchairs-for 10 more minutes!!!! You could tell the CM working the line was beyond ticked, as well as the other waiting passengers. After another 5 minutes another bus showed up and we got on right away. By the time our bus left, the other bus was just getting ready to start letting on passengers!

We were finally back at Pop and had Olivia in bed right around 9:00. I grabbed our mugs to refill and left Toby to keep calling my phone in hopes somebody would answer. For the record, nobody did.

I got back to the room around 9:30- just in time to have the most amazing view of Illuminations from our window! It was seriously a perfect view! Toby and I watched the show and talked about the day. I was a perfect ending to an amazing day!

By 11:30, I had showered, packed up for the next day and was in bed, nice and warm and ready to sleep!

Up next: Our DHS day...with a slight morning detour!

I love the PP pic in front of the castle! :lovestruc

Oh no, I can't believe you lost your phone! I would cry if anything ever happened to my phone! You never found it?

OK so what happened to your phone? I would have gone back to the GF to look for it because I would go crazy without it

Oh no the phone!! I would have gone back to GF and looked for it as well!!

Hopefully the CMs have it! I'm pretty sure that they aren't allowed to answer phone calls when they are in costume unless it's a break/lunch. Any phones we ever found went right to GR. I guess they assume that if you want it bad enough, you'll go get it which I'm guessing is what the detour was the next morning!!

Hopefully you found your phone!!!!!!!!

That's a beautiful photopass pic but crazy how cold it was..brrrr

Oh no I can't even imagine how terrifying losing your phone must have been. I really hope it showed up

Once again, we didn't do near what I wanted to, but I was super happy with what we did! It helped knowing that I had another MK day planned later in the week.

Welcome to the start of our 3rd day in the World! It was Tuesday December 7, 2010, and it was COLD!!!

The day started at 7:15 for me. As soon as I got up, I called over to the GF to see if they had my phone. Nope. I called the central lost and found. Nope. Well, it looks like I'd be calling Verizon to cancel my phone until we got home and I could order a new one. This would explain why those of you who texted me- Tracy - didn't get a response.... After my depressing phone calls, I got my self ready and woke up Olivia and Toby at 7:30. Surprisingly, Toby hopped right out of bed and got ready pretty quickly. As I was finishing up getting Olivia ready, he decided to try again to call my phone. This time it didn't even ring, it went right to voicemail. Great. Now whoever had it turned it off. Nice. He tried one more time and it rang. Yeah, it really wasn't shut off! And...someone ANSWERED!!!!!!! Woo Hoo! Super! Awesome! It was a lovely women by the name of Molly who was working at 1900 Park Fare. She said she would hold the phone for us! As soon as we heard this, we booked it and literally ran to catch a bus! We were out the door at 7:55 and on a MK bus at 8:07. Once we got to MK we ran up the monorail ramp (it was WAY too cold to take the boat, so we were chancing the monorail) and were at the GF by 8:40. We went down to PF and went to the check in podium and asked for the phone. One of the awesome ladies went to retrieve it for us. While she was gone, the other CMs said that the only reason they answered it was because of the ring tone...it was the piggy from the commercial (I think it's an insurance commercial) that goes WEEE WEEE WEEE the whole way home. They said they were all laughing hysterically at the WEEE WEEE WEEE, and they just had to answer it. Woo Hoo! Thank goodness for silly ringtones! (As a side note: Toby is not happy that is a "pig" in my eyes).

After many, many, many thanks, we headed out of PF and towards the GF bus stop. We had JUST missed a DHS bus so we had to wait. It ended up being about a 15 minute wait, so I of course decided to take some pictures. Did I mention it was freezing? Literally. It was freezing out! This was the coldest morning of the trip by far. Poor Olivia looked like the Stay Puffed Marshmallow man (or as she says, smarshmallow).

Once we arrived at DHS we of course had to find our PP friends!

Photo0313FourBySix.jpg

Photo0319FourBySix.jpg

(I love Olivia's face in this one...it cracks me up!)

After our pics, we headed to the animation building to meet a few friends.

Photo0326FourBySix.jpg

Photo0328FourBySix.jpg

When it was her turn, she marched right up to Lotso and told him to be kind to his friends! It was too funny!

Photo0300FourBySix.jpg

Photo0305FourBySix.jpg

Photo0307FourBySix.jpg

After meeting our friends we went for a nice voyage under the sea with our favorite mermaid. Olivia LOVES this show! She has always loved it, and never been scared of Ursala. In fact, she always requests to sit in the front row, and sings along with the entire show.

After so time under the sea, we headed over to TSM and got in a quick ride before it was time to head across the park for our early lunch.

229.jpg

We all get in one car for this ride and Toby and I take turns letting Olivia shoot our guns. This of course results in some not so great scores for us, but it's ok! I love this ride! I actually just got the TSM game for the Wii the other day, and love it too! Olivia loves to play it with me since she gets her own controller the whole time.

Once we got off the ride it was about 11:15 and we had 11:30 ADRs at Hollywood & Vine, so we headed that way.

Up next: Lunch with Manny, Oso, and some Little Einsteins!

I love the PP pic in front of the castle! :lovestruc

Oh no, I can't believe you lost your phone! I would cry if anything ever happened to my phone! You never found it?

Thanks! That is one of my favorite pictures of the trip!

I was so upset my phone was lost!! The worst part was that the phone was only about 2 months old!

OK so what happened to your phone? I would have gone back to the GF to look for it because I would go crazy without it

I would have like to go back to the GF, but at that point it was getting late, and Olivia was done for the day and I didn't want to keep her out any longer. You should read the update I just posted......

Hmm, I didn't know CMs couldn't answer phones in costume! You learn something everyday! I just posted an update about our detour!

That's a beautiful photopass pic but crazy how cold it was..brrrr

Oh no I can't even imagine how terrifying losing your phone must have been. I really hope it showed up

I have to say...I end up losing things I shouldn't. Mostly expensive things. Last year at a baseball game, I lost my iPod touch. About 2 years ago, I lost my keys at Busch Gardens.....I really just shouldn't carry anything of value!

Since it is coming up so quickly (12 days to be exact), I figured that I would give you guys some details for a quick trip.

Dates:
*Monday February 28- Thursday March 3

Resort:
*Port Orleans Riverside (a new one for us!)
*I'll request the Alligator Bayou section and I'm hoping for a trundle bed room (remember that Olivia turns into an octopus at night)
*I'll book a room only passholder rate and the total will be $383.91 (I put it on hold, and will pay Thursday when we get paid).

Food:
*I am debating adding the dining plan. I have $200 cash tucked away, so I am trying to decide if I want to use that or just put that towards the QSDP.
*The QSDP would be about $246

Tickets:
*I just bought our new APs! It's kind of sad for me. I had to buy Olivia one. That just means she is growing up WAY too quickly! I got the Seasonal Passes again, since they worked so well for us last time. I really have no interest in going in the middle of summer when it is blazing hot, or at Christmas or Easter when it is super crowded.
*The cost for the passes for the 3 of us was $800.89

Plans:
*I really don't have any!
*I know we want to spend more time at AK than we have in past trips and really get a chance to see everything. We love this park, but never end up being able to spend much time there.
*Olivia is really excited about the slide at the pool at POR, so if it's warm enough we will spend some time there.
*I think my little preemie munchkin is just barely at the 40 inch mark, so that means bring on: BTMRR, Splash Mountain, Test Track and Soarin!
*I know we will want to see Wishes and maybe MSEP, and possibly Illuminations.

So, that is it. No real plans! I don't know how I will handle it!

What awesome news that the phone showed up after all, that must have been a huge relief.

I can't even imagine being at WDW when you have to wear gloves and parkas to go to the park, I don't know how you guys survived it must have been so cold.

Your trip sounds awesome, and how cool that it's coming up so fast

Can't wait to hear more:goodvibes

I'm glad you got your phone back. :) We'll be at Disney at the same time! We're staying at POFQ 1-9 March.

I saw your post on FB about the many updates and I couldn't wait to get home from work to read them!!!

I'm glad they found your phone! I guess I should have said that CMs can't answer phones on stage in costume (like their personal ones) but I'm sure they had ur phone back stage and would be able to answer it which is great! It's a good thing they still had it because after central lost and found, it gets sent to Property Control which is where CMs can go and buy things that people don't claim at lost and found!

Can't wait to hear about your lunch!

You'll have fun at POR. I'm glad we are staying at POFQ. We would have been neighbors! Our DDP for the 17-21 was $48 a day per person, I was like WOAHHH!!!!! I guess the peak season for spring break starts on the 10th so it looks like we're missing the value season but a week or so :( Oh well. I've only used QSDP once and enjoyed it! We used 1 snack for a breakfast item, the QS for lunch and dinner and the other snack as a snack! It really worked out great for the day that we had it! I debated about doing that for our March trip but with it being my birthday, I caved and we're doing sit downs haha.

First and foremost...how's the Princess feeling today?

WOW oh WOW. You amaze me. You lose your phone, are frozen solid and you still have the happiest looking pictures ever!!!! :rotfl2: I can't believe a CM found your phone. What a very happy ending. See there are still honest people left in this world

I was SO glad the CMs found my phone, and not some dishonest person!

I have to say, despite that fact that we were freezing, I would take that over going when it is miserably hot any day!!! We were really cold, but I had prepared for it, so we all had warm clothes, hats, gloves and jackets. When we went last January, it was actually snowing one morning!

I'm really excited for our trip! It was kind of last minute (only about 2.5 months notice), so it's kind of weird not planning for 9 months, but I'm excited to see how we do with nothing planned and just kind of going with the flow!

I'm glad you got your phone back. :) We'll be at Disney at the same time! We're staying at POFQ 1-9 March.

I was SUPER excited to get my phone back! I thought for sure that I would have to go through the hassle of canceling it and waiting to get a new one when we got home.

How cool that you guys have another trip coming up so quickly too! I wish ours was 9 days! We usually just squeeze in shorter trips since we are lucky enough to live so close and can go fairly often. Have fun! Maybe we will run in to you guys.

I saw your post on FB about the many updates and I couldn't wait to get home from work to read them!!!

I'm glad you were excited to read my posts, lol! I figured after nothing for almost 2 weeks, I should come back in a big way!

Our H&V lunch should be up tomorrow. I actually have a day with nothing to do. Today I did the laundry, cleaned the house, picked up Livy's room while she napped, and did some of our "school" with her. (We have a workbook and some other fun stuff from when I was teaching that I work with her on everyday...she thinks we are just playing school)! As long as she is feeling ok and not super clingy like she was this afternoon, I should get a couple of more updates in.

I'm excited about POR (crossing my fingers and toes for Alligator Bayou), but I really wanted POFQ since it is so much smaller, but the price for that was over $100 more that POR, so I passed! We actually really like the QSDP! We have used it several times (mostly on our shorter trips).

Aww, thanks for asking! She is feeling ok, no better no worse. Still a coughing, snotty, fevery mess and acting pathetic. I'm glad she hasn't gotten any worse because when she gets sick, she gets SICK. Usually it's bronchitis, double ear infections, strep and sinus infections all at once. She can never just get a simple cold....darn premature kiddo!

WOW! Thank you! You are cracking me up with your picture comments! I think I look pathetic in most of them, but your super kind words just might be changing my mind!

I was so glad the CM found my phone! I just want to know why they didn't answer it the night before? Oh well, I got it back and that's all that matters! It is really nice knowing that there are actually a few people in the world with morals!

scary moment losing your phone, so glad it was found and LOL at the ring tone!

Poor Olivia looks so cold in the pic at HS. I can't believe how crazy cold it was. i swear we never took off our jackets!

yeah for the short trip coming up- we love POR and the pool/slide is great too.

so glad she will be at 40"- all new adventures for you guys together!! Will rode Soarin, TT (2x), BTMRR (2x), Splash (2x)! he had a great time on all! Hopefully she will too!

*EDIT*

Ok, so after another phone call to Disney, I feel better. I did some checking online with the PIN code I got about a month ago and saw POR was available for March 1&2, but not February 28. I decided to stay at POP for the 28th, and then we will move to POR for the 1st and 2nd. I know it's not ideal, but that way we will still have the chance to stay there and Livy will get to go on the slide, and still get a chance to look for the bunny she loved at POP! Now I'm just hoping all the money stuff works out. I paid the full $275.40 for the POP ressie (the AP rate) when I made it this morning. They will be refunding $183.60 back to my card (we have no credit cards, just our debit cards) "in the next couple of days" (anyone know how long it really takes? It's a Visa debit card if that helps). For POR they only had preferred rooms with my AP rate, but standard with my PIN code, so I booked with that since it was about a $50 difference. The POR total came to $255.94, and I paid the one night deposit of $127.97, and will pay the rest when I get my refund from the original ressie. Confused yet?! So, the total for the 3 nights came to $347.74. All in all, today I paid them a total of $403.37. When they refund the $183.60 I will have paid them $219.77 and still owe $127.97. OK, now my head hurts! I haven't decided if I will still try calling to get that first night switched to POR as well, or just leave it like we have it.

Ok, so I just got off the phone with Disney reservations (I was calling to officially book our room reservation for our trip in 11 days that I had held earlier in the week). I was waiting until we got paid today to officially book it and just pay it all off at once. I was told that they hold the reservation for 7 days and if I didn't pay it would be put back in the system. When I called today (2 days after I put the hold on it), they had no record of it!!!! :scared1: I said whatever, and re-requested POR for 2/28-3/3 and they are SOLD OUT!!!! By this point I am totally fuming!:mad: In fact, they are sold out of all mods and all values besides POP. I decided to just take POP before I hem and haw and there is nothing available there either. By the time I hung up I was nearly in tears. I was so excited to try a new resort and Livy was looking forward to the pool. I'm totally kicking myself for not booking on Tuesday, we had the money in the bank, I just wanted to wait until payday when we had even more. I guess I will just call back every day and see if anything opens up. I'm just glad that we even get to go. So there you have it, my pity party for the day.

I'm so glad they found your phone!!!!

I am so jealous that you get to go in 11 days!!!!!

I can't believe all Mods are sold out :scared1:
Is it some kind of holiday in 11 days????

Wow I am completely lost. :rotfl2:

Even if you are not a fan of CCs an I such getting a CC JUST for travel. We have learned this lesson the hard way (we did everything on debit until a couple of years ago). Trust me, it makes things SOOOOO much easier in the long run. And you just pay the whole bill when it comes in so you never get stuck with interest charges.

Okay so let me recap..

So you are staying night 1 at POP with your AP and nights 2 and 3 at POR with the Pin??

But you might call and see if there is an opening at POR for night 1 so that you can stay all 3 nights at POR??

Wow and I thought all of my resort switching for March was crazy! All in all after mine, I ended up with 2 credits from WDW. I only use CC when booking just in case my info gets leaked, I don't want my debit $$ to be taken so easily ( my friend had that happen to her!) so I always do trips, anything online, or big amounts with a CC, plus I get disney dollars if I use my Disney Visa so it's like free money for using their card and paying it off right away. My credits that I got took 3-5 days to go through. She said that with a CC depending on when it's booked and within your billing cycle it could end up on the current cycle or the next (same with refunds/credits). My POFQ $, paid in full right away, was put on my current month's credit card bill.

I'm glad to see that you were able to get into POR, even if it's only for 2 nights instead of 3!!

I agree. We always use a cc when making an online purchases, paying for rooms at WDW over the phone, etc. If someone got ahold of your debit number they could drain you in a second. At least with a cc, you have protection and they cant get all your money...and the money is tied up waiting for credits when you have to make a return.

Hope that things work out for you and that you can get a ressie for all three nights at POR. I would hate to move between resorts on such a short trip. Good luck:wizard:
