Olivia's 3rd Birthday Extravaganza! DDxP,BBB and PP!Oh my! Our 12/10 TR! **Finished**

GREAT UPDATES!!!! I was excited that you posted two!!!

I can't wait to hear how the hair was fixed. I mean, I haven't worked at BBB since May 2009 but in the year and a 1/2 that I did, we always tucked the bun with bobby pins so unless that is a new "rule" or something..I doubt it though! I be sure to pass that along to other FGITs that I'm still friends with!!

We enjoyed CP too. We thought the food was okay, what we would expect of course but would chose Chef Mickey's over it even though the castle view was awesome!

The hair fixing should be in the next update or two that I will get up tomorrow so you don't have to wait too long! I thought it looked a little odd as she was doing it, but I didn't know what to say. I didn't want to insult her, since she was the "professional".

We love CM too! CP and CM are our must do's for every trip!

Well, Toby came home from work tonight and told me that they wouldn't give him the time off in February that we wanted, so our trip from Feb 13-16 is off. :guilty: But.........he did get the first week of March off, so we have new dates!!! Our new dates are February 28-March 3. It's just a short trip, but it's a trip! We usually only do short trips during the year and then our "big" trip towards the end of the year, so this works for me! The hotel is a whole other story. When we were going to go in mid February, it was value season and there was an awesome AP rate so we were going to jump on that and book Wilderness Lodge!!!! Well, our new dates don't fall in the value season, so I decided to be responsible and not pick WL. I knew I wanted a Mod if I couldn't have WL, and I knew I wanted to stay somewhere new, so my first choice was Port Orleans Riverside. So back on the passholder site I go! :surfweb: Hmm, no availability at POR. OK, POFQ will work too. Hmm, no availability at POFQ either. OK, CBR it is. Hmmm, same story here, and at CSR!!! WHAT THE HECK!!?? Ok, ok....value it is. What do you mean that only ASMU is available? That is the one I don't like!!! By this point I am TOTALLY ticked off!!:headache: It is at that point that it dawns on me....maybe the PIN code I got will work after all! Seriously, what is the worst that can happen now? So I enter all my PIN info and what do you know...POR comes right up!!! :worship: I was really trying not to be too loud and excited since Olivia was already sleeping, but boy was I EXCITED! The total with the PIN was $384 for the 3 nights! I am so excited! Our seasonal passes expired on 12/28 so we are just going to wait and get new ones when we go instead of renew. The renewal price is about $20 cheaper than getting new passes, but it wasn't worth it to us since our expiration date would remain 12/28, and to me, that was kind of like losing 2 months of time! (Does that make sense to anyone else?) So, I think the plan will be to head up on the night of the 27th after I am done working at the church and stay in an offsite hotel for the night (since we will literally just be there to sleep, and even a value at Disney is $77), and then get up bring and early and go check in at POR and get our fun started! I will have more details of this trip as I come up with them!

Coming out of lurkdom to say how much i am enjoying your report! Keep up the great work!! Ur daughter is super :cutie:

YAY GREAT UPDATE!!!

Sorry about all the resort drama, you know what I've been through the past 3 days, ugh!!

Too bad it wasn't on the 17th!!! My mom made a comment about how POR would have been fine for us too but I figured FQ is smaller (even with a standard room) and I'm going to hope that we get a new refurb room!!! I do like the fact that you can hop between resorts for dining and pool which is good!

Sorry about WL :(

Hi guys! I just wanted to say I haven't abandoned this TR! Last week was super busy, but I am working on updates now and will have them up tomorrow! Hope my readers haven't left me!

Still here. Don't you hate when work interferes with fun stuff. I really need to hit the lottery so I can get rid of that annoying necessity.

Hi guys! Sorry for the delay in updates! Things were crazy last week! My Mom left to go out of town at the end of last week and the day before she left one of her dogs got sick so we had to take her to the vet on the morning that Mom was leaving, and for a bit we thought we might have to put her to sleep. She is slowly getting better, but I am spending lots of time at Mom's house while she is gone. (My brother is actually house/pet sitting for her, but he works some crazy hours, so Olivia and I are hanging out over there while he is working). I'm actually at Mom's house now, so for this update I am relying on my pictures to remind me of what happened since my notebook is at home.

So, when we last left off, it was just after 1:00 and we had just finished up an awesome lunch with our friends from the Hundred Acre Wood, and were on our way for some rides and meet & greets!

After potty stops we headed towards Toontown. Olivia was on a mission to meet her princesses! When we got to the Toontown Hall of Fame, Olivia and I went in and waited while Toby parked the stroller. We were waiting right at the entrance to the Princess line (which was a 45 minute wait), when the CM working the entrance noticed my GAC and asked how many were in our party. I said that there were 3 of us, but we would be more than happy to wait in line, that we were not in need of assistance at this time. She very politely explained that waiting was not an option and gave us a card and told us to wait at the exit and someone would be there to get us and take us back shortly. I tried one last time to refuse, but it was no use. It was at that time that Toby walked in and I explained to him what happened as we walked to the exit. By the time we walked to the exit, there was another CM already waiting to take us back to meet the princesses! Olivia was so excited that she was bouncing down the hallway!

When we made it in the room, there were only 2 families ahead of us! The ladies waiting to greet us were Cinderella, Belle and Aurora (it seems like these are the 3 we always get). Can you tell someone was a bit excited? (She was literally bouncing and that is why the picture is so blurry).

Cinderella was up first (The royal ladies were admiring each others silver shoes), followed by Belle and then Aurora.

Aurora: We never seem to get a "real looking" Aurora...maybe it's just me :confused3

After our successful meet with the Princesses, we made our way down the path from the back of Toontown to Tomorowland and headed to Olivia's new favorite ride: Carousel of Progress!!! Yep, she is totally my kid! This is by far my favorite ride in all of WDW! I have loved it since I was a kid. We always sit in the exact same spot: the second row right behind the wheelchair seats.

After CoP, we took a frigid ride on my other favorite MK attraction, the Peoplemover! I always love a relaxing trip on the Peoplemover. Something about it make me feel like a kid again. Maybe because when I was a kid I thought that Tomorrowland really was how the future would be-with a Peoplemover like device to take us around the city, flying cars, etc...

Anyway, after those two must do rides were done, we made our way to Buzz Lightyear. We always do it the same way, Toby and I shoot and Olivia gets to control the spin. Needless to say, we always get off this ride with terrible scores and feeling sick while Olivia giggles!

By now it was nearing 3:00 and we wanted to start making our way out and heading to the GF to relax before our 5:00 ADR. But first, FGIT's: We have a problem!

Up next: FGIT to the rescue and more monorail woes!

Just caught up with your TR and LOVE it!!! Olivia is adorable and you have some many great pictures and memories! I'm so jealous you live so close!! Can't wait for another update!

loving all the updates, let me see if i can remember all the things I wanted to reply on! lol

so funny on HoP, i love it too- DH and I love history, but him moreso than me. On our 09 trip, we saw it, but Will was acting up and i had to leave with him. so i missed it. and we skipped it this year too, so I have to see it next time!!!

I love that Olivia was asking to have her pic taken and doing that same little pose with her hands under her chin. too cute! :rotfl:

I have to agree, that Aurora just isn't a great one. Belle is awesome though!

I've never waited to see the princesses or fairies before (only did fairies in DL), i need to do that sometime, of course they will all be moved when we go back with toontown closing in February.

so how was lunch at CP? the more photos I see of the lunch and dinner, the more inclined I am to stick with breakfast. :confused3;)

Olivia looks so cute as a princess!!!!

This trip was the first time we really spent any time in Tomorrow land and I loved it, Especially CoP... it's a great big beautiful tomorrow!!!!:rolleyes1

GREAT UPDATES!!!!

I love all the princess pics :) It was nice that you tried to refuse the GAC card but it's nice that they didn't let you either haha.

Can't wait to hear what the FGITs do to save the day!!!

First of all, :welcome: ! I'm glad you are enjoying the TR! I am having a blast writing it and remembering all the fun we had on our trip! I always say that WDW is the only good thing about living in Florida, I really don't like it here!

We really like CP. We have eaten dinner and lunch there, and have enjoyed both meals. We would go back to either, but are planning to go for breakfast on our next trip. The food has always been fresh, and the buffet clean (which is a huge pet peeve of mine-dirty buffet lines).

I'm so sad we won't be able to go one last time before Toontown closes! I tried really hard to get at least a day trip to the MK, but it just isn't going to work out :sad1:

Thank you! We think she was a pretty cute princess too!

We love Tomorrow land! Olivia actually walks around the house singing that song! It is hysterical! I actually put it on my iPod and she listens to it all. the. time! She keeps asking when we can go back and ride it!

I usually have the GAC facing my body so it isn't visible unless I want it to be, but I guess it got turned around somehow. I felt a little better about it when I saw that there was no one else waiting at the exit. I also don't want Olivia to think that she will never have to wait for anything!

I'm almost done with the next update so you wont have to wait much longer!

[/QUOTE]lol at the clean buffets, so true, some of them are downright filthy! the breakfast is really good, we have always enjoyed breakfast!

so sorry you missed toontown! we've never been huge fans of it or visited it much, so i am not too sorry to see it go. we did visit mickey and minnie's houses though and Will wanted to go back to see Mickey's trash cans in his garage (i know, the trash can obsession continues!).

When I left off we had spent the early part of the afternoon with Princesses and riding the rides in Tomorrowland.

After we got off Buzz I looked at Olivia's hair and realized it was about to totally fall out on one side. Keep in mind, we had not done anything wild and crazy. We did HoP, HM, ate lunch, rode the Peoplemover, CoP and Buzz. I was going back and forth on whether or not to go back to the BBB and have them fix it. I am the most non-confrontational person you will ever meet! I hate sending back food if it isn't good, I just don't make a big deal out of things! Toby said it was up to me...gee big help there, thanks a lot! I decided that since it was done so poorly to begin with I was going to try and have them fix it.

We made our way to the castle and as we got closer, I noticed a TON of people waiting to get in to the BBB :scared1: Ok, so maybe this wasn't going to work. I decided to try it anyway. I walked up to the FGIT who was standing outside the door answering questions and showed her Olivia's hair and she said they were over booked and running behind, but she would check and see if anything could be done. After about 30 seconds she told us to come in and they would fix it! :worship::woohoo:

We were not taken back to a chair in the back, instead they had Olivia stand right next to the check-in podium and the most amazing FGIT ever came to fix my Princess! Kendra was AWESOME!!! She started talking to Olivia right away and had a great smile on her face the whole time. She pretty much had to redo the whole style. I guess our FGIT from earlier hadn't used enough rubberbands, one of them that she did use was broken, and the bobby pin count was WAY too low (she only used 2)! Kendra quickly pulled Olivia's hair up into a much smaller bun (YEAH!!!), and used some hair spray and added more Pixie Dust and we were done. It look about 5 minutes and looked wonderful! I was so upset that Toby was outside with the camera! I really wanted to get a pic of Livy with our FGIT who came to the rescue! I made sure to tip Kendra and thank her profusely! Now her hair looked just like I thought it should!

Once we left the BBB we headed towards the front of the park, but we were stopped by the parade. Rather than try to push through, we decided to just stop and watch what was left of it. I got some of my favorite pictures of the trip here! (You can also really tell the difference in Olivia's hair)!

After the parade ended, we made our way to the front of the park. I wanted to stop in the Emporium and get Olivia's castle and have it shipped to POP before we left. I know I could have bought it at the resort, but I wanted to be able to use my AP discount! Toby was in charge of pushing Olivia around while I got in line with the HUGE box. I was really hoping she would take a bit of a nap since she had been on the go since 6:45am and we had plans to be out late! The Emporium was seriously the most crowded that I have ever seen it! It was nuts in there! Maybe everyone wanted to warm up since it was so cold and windy outside? By about 3:30 I was done and headed outside to find Toby and Olivia.

Toby was sitting on a bench near the Barber Shop and Livy was taking a princess nap in the stroller...Thank Goodness! The plan was to hop on the monorail and head to the Grand Floridian and just explore and relax before our 5:00 ADR at 1900 Park Fare. Well, that wasn't happening. The monorail was shut down and they weren't even letting people get in line for when it did start running again. A boat ride to the GF it was! Of course we ended up with one of the tiny boats which meant Olivia had to be taken out of her stroller so we could fold it up. She must have been really tired because she didn't budge at all! We were the last ones allowed to board the boat, and luckily a nice gentleman gave his seat up so I could sit down with Livy. The boat ride over was absolutely frigid! I was trying to cover Olivia up as best I could, but by the time we got to the GF her little cheeks and my hands were frozen! We got off the boat and made our way to the main building, since we wanted to see the Gingerbread house and just relax a bit.

By the time we made it to the warmth of the building Olivia was awake....so much for a nap! After potty stops, we headed to the lobby and as we went down the hallway we could already smell the gingerbread house! Boy did it smell good! Olivia was in total awe, and wanted me to take a million pictures of her with "the yummy house".

After the house, Olivia ran over to the Christmas tree and once again asked for lots of pictures.

After we had our fill of pictures, we plopped down on one of the comfy couches in the lobby and just relaxed until about 4:45. While we were relaxing, Olivia was literally running circles around the table that was right in front of the couch! Where did all that energy come from? On one of her "laps" she came too close to the table and a super sharp, metal, decorative leaf ripped a small hole in her dress :scared1: Luckily it wasn't noticeable, but I was still a bit miffed. When it was time for me to go and check in at 1900 PF, I stood up and my jeans got caught on the same stupid piece of metal and ripped a decent size hole in them as well! :scared1: I know I should have been more careful, but they should really get that fixed!

When I checked in I was told we could be seated right away so I went back to get Toby and Olivia. On the way, I stopped at the front desk and told the clerk about the table so that they could fix it before a person got hurt. She was not so friendly and told me that there was nothing she could do for me :confused3 I wasn't telling her try and get anything, but I guess she thought I was. I simply said that I just was trying to keep someone else from ripping their clothes or a child getting hurt, but she just rolled her eyes and said ok. Oh well, I wasn't going to get mad. I tried to be helpful.

Up next: Dinner with royalty!

How awesome that you got a much better FGIT...her hair looks so cute after the redo!

Can't wait to hear how 1900 Park Fare was:goodvibes

Great news about the hair fix...quick AND easy:thumbsup2
I cant believe the monorail is broken!! A cold ride on a boat would be terrible, then ripped clothes:scared1: I sure hope the next installment has nothing but good news:thumbsup2

Wow it's funny how they assume you want something, they must be jaded from all the people that actually do want something:sad2:
