Oldies?? OLDIES??????

Heavens, I don't think of anything by Journey as being old. Oldies to me are the Beatles, Elvis and anything from the 50's or 60's.

I'm with you! Journey is just a little while ago...

I graduated in 1986 and I loved that song! And Air Supply and Asia and REO Speedwagon.... anyone remember these guys?

I graduated the year before you Jeanne, and I remember them all very well. :)

Those were all my favorites! My DH and I were dating and we went to many a Spring Jam at JFK stadium to see those bands. The concert with Journey is one of our best memories. There was terrible weather during the concert (these concerts had five or six bands and lasted from early afternoon until night) and two bands had to leave the stage due to lightening. When it was time for Journey we thought for sure they wouldn't play but just as they came out on stage the storm passed, the skies cleared and the stars were so bright it was amazing! Steve Perry where are you :hyper: . Guess I'll have to listen to my "oldies" on the way home from work:smooth: .

Isn't Faithfully about 20 years old? Except for people, 20 years is a pretty long time for just about anything isn't it?
Is there something negative about oldies?

Talk about feeling OLD....I was in my 20's when Faithfully came out!! WAAAHHHH!!! :(

Ya know what really makes ya feel old??? When American Movie Classics plays Saturday Night Fever and Urban Cowboy!!

You know you're getting old when your 11-12 year old students call Michael Jacksons "Thriller" --old school

You know you're getting old when you recognize "Always Something There to Remind Me" and "Tainted Love" as Grocery store --MUZAK!

You know you're getting old, when the hits of the 80's are well, what you still listen to in your car.

You know you are getting old when your favorite videos of the day are now on VH1 Classic... yes, they used to be on MTV!

You know you are getting old when your then 17 year old nephew plays an acoutical version of a Violent Femmes song (Blister in the sun) and you can impress him that you know all the words!
