OLD THREAD: 2012 Beach and Yacht FAQ, Part 2- May, June and July DON'T POST HERE!

Thanks. I will do that when I pick up my park tickets since you have to pick up YES tickets at Guest Relations. I am assuming there is Guest Relations at IG, right? At least that is what I see on the map.

Yep, there is one right there.

I'm so excited for our first stay at BC next week, and staying CL for the first time, oh, and getting married next week too ;)

Have a question. One of the kids will be doing a YES class and she has to be by the flag pole at the main entrance of Epcot at 8:30am. Can we go through the IG or do we need to drive there? And if we can go through IG, how long is the walk from IG to the main entrance? She can't be late for her class or they will not let her in (per the email I received).

If you find you can walk through Epcot to the main entrance for the YES program, I would want to leave my room no later than 8 am. The walk over to IG won't be long, but then you need to make your way through UK, Canada, all of Future World.

I wouldn't want to have to run or feel panic about not being there in time.

And congratulations on the upcoming wedding! :bride:

Thought I'd share the latest on Disney's Photopass+ service, rather the new discount:

http://www.disneyphotopass.com/wdwphotopassplus.aspx

Basically 30 dollars off w/ preorder, and they mail you the voucher. Looks like they're starting to get their act together with this one.:cool1:

Also - I had previously pre-ordered the regular CD, but I called and they changed that to a 99 dollar credit (I ordered before the price increase) so I could upgrade to PP+ for 70 bucks. Not a bad deal, if you love ride and meal photos. If anyone is in the same situation, the number to call and do this is 407-560-4300.

Just wanted to share, hope this helps!

Thanks Jen. I saw this yesterday but you have to allow up to 14 days prior to you vacation beginning to receive the stuff for it I the mail :headache:

And well, look at my ticker. So yeah we are doing this and we'll probably have to pay full price.... Boo

Anyway, thanks

Im thinking that I will forget the cruise for 2014 and substitute 2 nights on the dark side (the Royal Pacific CL) at the end of a longer Disney trip. We cant use the resort airline check in because we fly international carriers, so we have to schlep our luggage anyway so missing the Magical Depress on the way home wont be the end of the world! I still think we have way too much to do in the parks that we missed to make a cruise the highlight. But a three way split seems insane... Oh well, I have about 2 years to work it out. LOL

I can't weigh in on To Cruise or Not To Cruise, having never done it. (I get motion sick just going on the boat from the Beach Club to Disney's Hollywood Studios.)

But I have stayed at both the Royal Pacific and the Hard Rock over at Universal. If you're staying there for convenience to the Universal Parks, go for the Hard Rock. It's a much, much shorter walk to the theme parks. It felt like it took forever to walk from the Royal Pacific to the Wizarding World of Harry Potter at Islands of Adventure. And the wait for a boat was extremely long.

I'm staying at Portofino Bay for the first time next month, so I can't comment on that one yet. But I think the commute to the theme parks is even longer from there. (I'm going for a conference, so distance won't matter to me.)

I think the Yacht Club and Beach Club are much nicer than the Royal Pacific and the Hard Rock.

I wanted to add a congrats to you!!!

I agree with the other posters- check with Guest Relations at the IG. You could also try emailing the folks from the Y.E.S program, but I'm not sure if they have reliable information about what you are looking for.

Maybe you could do what Dee and Pixrmom do - a "Flat HockeymomR" to join us at the meet. Of course right now there doesn't seem to be much interest in our little meet. So far it's just me, Teena and Lauren! (along with any "flat" attendees)

I will be thinking of you all! Well, you 3 and any "flat" attendees! :rotfl:
We usually go to WDW in July and then last year June worked better for us. We enjoyed it so much, we are going in June again. If we ever switch back to July, I would love to attend.

3 days to go and I still have so much to do!!! Why did I decide to remodel my teen son's room BEFORE the trip??

Anyway, I was wondering if anyone who was at WDW in the last few weeks, or is there now, has an update on when the Agent P Epcot Adventure will open? All I can find is "late June"...

Hi All
After lurking for 2 years I'm going to jump in. My family stayed at the Beach Club in May 2010 for our first family vacation celebrating the adoption of our 2 little ones. We are going back in August for another family vacation and we're staying club level:cheer2:
We'll be there August 9-16 with the DXDP.... I know, too much food along with the club level but 2 of my 3 kids are very adventurous eaters.
Thanks for all the great info I've gotten from this thread!

Welcome!! I was a lurker for years as well! Congrats on your trip and all those wonderful restaurants you will get to enjoy with DXDP!!!

I was so excited I did all the reservations myself instead of letting the IPO do them. The only thing I've asked for help is reserving a beachcomber's shack at Typhoon Lagoon. We are pale pasty Irish.

Welcome!

I love BC CL!

I've been trying to figure this out ...what does IPO stand for? (I assume it's not Initial Public Offering :))

Love Hoop!!!!!!!

Me, too! Everyone got to choose a "must-have" ADR on the trip, and this was mine. :)

I did some research on the Candlelight Processional after IPO said that Rose and Crown probably wasn't available yet due to that. It sounded really great, so DH and I decided we'd try for that with R&C! Sent them a request tonight...we shall see!

Too bad I won't be there when Gary Sinise is doing it.

My family loves Hoop Dee Doo! We go every trip and never get tired of it. One year, I didn't book it because we wanted to try some new places. We got to WDW and decided we did want to go to Hoop. I had to call every day and finally got it! Now, it is the first ADR I make. Enjoy!

We just got back from our evening which start with HDDR!! DD was in love with the whole show though she wanted to be able to go on stage. We had perfect seats for our family (Cat 2 in the balcony) and really enjoyed ourselves. The rain tonight was a bit intense since we had to take the boat to and from the show but the MK was perfect after. We are having a blast but cannot wait for the move Sat morning!

We've had so many "almost meet ups" that I'm sure one day we'll finally do it! Looking forward to it! Remeber the year my dd broke her leg and we had to delay our trip by a few weeks? We were supposed to be there together that year and I felt so bad that we missed you!

I do remember. That was almost the year! I will be there in spirit. Really wish I was going to be there in person though.

One of these days we will b there same time really!
