I still have 3 days and 4 plusses left on tickets I Bought in Dec of 2004. Does anyone remember what the plusses are good for besides the water parks. I know Disney Quest was not included but thought maybe Wide World of Sports and Pleasure Island might be. Thanks

:wizard:

Not sure about Wide World of Sports, but I speak with great authority  when I say that I'm sure one of the plus options is/was Pleasure Island.

Ours from 2000 (which I will be using in Oct) were good for TL, BB and Pleasure Island. :wizard:

The plus options from the old PHP's included everything that the current WPF&M options do EXCEPT for DQ. So yes, WWoS and PI were included. No exchanging is necessary. They can be used as is.

Pre-2005 park hopper plus tickets need a one time special treatment at the Pleasure Island ticket booth before being used to enter the clubs. No charge, very quick. One plus is good for any or all clubs for one evening.

You can use a plus for entrance to Wide World of Sports on selected days (probably not the days where there is a very popular baseball game happening). Not sure what things you can do there when there is no game at all going on.

I too have a 3 day pass left from our last trip that I wanted to credit towards a child's season pass. Does anyone know their value when exchanging?

Thanks,
heather

Since tickets are technically non-transferrable, I am not sure they will allow you to convert an adult ticket into a child's season pass.

If they do, guest services will scan the ticket and find out the original price of the ticket. They will divide the price paid by the total number of days originally on the ticket and then give you credit for the amount that equals 3 days. Does this make sense?

Example: Original 5 day ticket = $100 (lol - but easy to use)
Each day worth $20.
3 days left x $20 = $60
$60 would be applied to cost of season pass.

It is a childs pass. We bought it when our daughter crossed the "no longer free threshold" and didn't use all the days. We knew eventually we would convert it, just didn't realize tickets would change in the meantime. Thanks for helping! I'm glad they can tell b/c we of course don't still have our receipt.

Thanks,
Heather

It looks like your last trip was in 2004. If that is when you bought and used the ticket, it can not be used to apply the dollar value towards a new ticket. Disney stopped allowing used pre-MYW tickets to be applied for credit as of January 1, 2006. Your only option with that ticket now is to use up the remaining admissions until the ticket is exhausted.

Just an update on what happened- we did get a credit for our 2004 ticket that was bought for a child and were allowed to apply it towards an adult ap. It was a nice surprise to save that $100 that we had not planned. They did exactly as the previous poster thought- took the price we paid which was $200+tax and divided it by 5 days and multiplied times the remaining number of days. Very pleasant. Hope that helps.

Not Nessisarily.

The only time you have to take an old Park Hopper Plus to the ticket windows first is if you plan on going to one of the DANCE clubs first. It is MUCH quicker and easier for both yourself and the Cast Members involved to just go to either the Adventures Club or Comedy Warehouse to scan your OLD PHP pass, get your stamps/wristbands, and then go to any club of your choice.

If you feel you absolutely must have the ticket updated to go to a dance club first - stop at the ticket booth. Depending on the CM, it may take several minutes to update the ticket to the new ticket media. This function does not provide any cost or upgrade advantage to you as a guest other than that it lets you scan the ticket at a dance club instead of having to go to one of the 2 show clubs first. It's your choice - but updating the ticket may be somewhat time consuming.

Once you get your wristband/handstamp at Comedy or Adventures - You won't need to scan your ticket at all for the rest of the night, so like I said, updating the ticket WILL NOT matter as long as you go to either first.

Beter value on older tickets to use them and not trade them in.

Heather, this is very good news... do you know if they would apply the credit from an adult park hopper (pre-2004) to an annual pass? If so, that's what we will do next week... we do have two children however, and they have surpassed the child's age since last using their tickets, well, at least one has, the other will soon!

I almost forgot, where did you upgrade your ticket? TIA!

It was great news for us! :cheer2: We were so happy. I can't see why they wouldn't do the same for you guys. Our ticket was a child and they let us apply the credit towards an adult AP. I was amazed at the amount of misinformation we received from the front desk- then when we pressed the issue at Guest Services found out they were inaccurate. It was very apparent to me on this trip that Disney wanted to do whatever it was to make the guests happy. We also had the hopper option issue discussed in another thread that they refunded back to us and let us apply to a day in the water parks since we hadn't used them.

For the credit of the kids ticket towards an adult AP, we did that transaction at DTD Guest Relations and the manager that helped was Jon. For the hopper issue, we did that at TL Guest Relations once we arrived.

HTH,
Heather

Thanks for the info Heather, I'll be sure to look up Jon at DTD to get the AP's :teeth: this will be the difference between going back within a years time, or not!

No.

They shouldn't - I'm not saying they won't - but right when I left WDW, I remember hearing that Park Hopper Plus passes would become "use as is" only - and not be used as credit towards another ticket type.

Plus as it was, they did not hold much value when crediting the remainder of the ticket.
