My husband and I will be staying at old key west for the first time this Sept. We've heard that the bus service might be questionable. Does anyone have any recent experience to share? Any good tips about staying there?Thanks!!

we had not a single complaint with the busses there. Heres a great tip though.

Request a room near the Peninsula stop. Its the first one for pick up and a very quick walk over to the lobby, which has the last stop. So if your walking up to the stop and the bus you want is just pulling away you can beat it to the lobby and not have to wait for the next one.

We have never had any problems with bus service at OKW. I know others have reported hit and miss service, but we have not experienced that. As stacy6552 stated, the hopitality house is always the last stop, so if you are at pennisular road, you can always walk over to the HH to catch a bus that just left.

We have stayed at OKW in excess of 10 times and never had an issue with the bus transportation.

Most recently we were in a 2BR... room #1314 which is close to the Hospitality House and the service was excellent!
