Okay...I've Called the Late Night DISers, Now I'm Calling the Single DISers (Part 2)

Went to DD's open house today. Can't wait for her to start school Monday. She is all set to go. Have an interview next Thursday for a job at nights from my house. So taking half a day off for that. Hopefully I'll be able to find the place this time. Plan on going out tomorrow to hunt it down.

Happy new school year! :teeth: I'm still up in the air on where DS is going. :earseek: Soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo tired of paying expensive tuition!!!!! But this city stinks for middle schools. Was told by several people to keep him out of there. Too much up in the air...health, a move, schools, work. ACK! I reeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeally miss my little bit of time I had. Used to get out of work at 4 in FL and had to pick up DS by 6 from after care. Now I have NO time. Don't like this at all.

Didn't read the whole 93 pages...but just wanted to stop by and say HI!

Hope PW is getting better from whatever it is!

Notice people talking about house buying...oh wouldn't that be nice! As a single income person I just don't see that happening any time soon....but I love my little apartment that belongs to me and is run by the two Siamese cats!

Kitty Kisses to all who need them (and one doggie kiss from my nephew Nicoli)!

Suzanne...You're right on that! Yesterday I decided to keep DS at the school he's been at since we moved here even though there are definite things we aren't happy with there. Been thinking about the medical thing and if/when that's a recurring thing. Like kids...plan for the worst (ie, have a will,) and hope for the best. So if I were to run into problems with this in the future, how would I get DS to school if it's close to work? I'd be driving him both ways every day. That was the deciding factor to keep him here and send him on the school bus. :faint: Good thing I decided yesterday because I had just enough time to run to school and complete the forms/hand over the $$$ they wanted. School starts TOMORROW!! :faint: LOL! :teeth:

Went back to work today...they won't let me up out of my seat except for the ladies room! Still with the daily blood tests, but now I'm going to the hospital around the corner from work for them. Ugh.

Meezers... :wave2: Welcome!!! :)

That's great that you are back to work and got DS enrolled in school. Sounds like things are getting back to normal......if there is ever such a thing

Here in FL we are looking at a storm that sprung up suddenly. I hate when that happens! Don't like to be surprised like that. Right now I'm feeling good about moving out of South FL. But it could always come up here too.

Hi Meezers!

FLM- How did the interview go? Will you be working from home?

Welcome Meezers

AT least they are being thoughtful at work. Much better then a boss that expects you to run away when you really shouldn't be.

My dd went back yesterday. 1st grade already. She's enjoying it. I"m glad to have her in school just for the routine. Summer was way too wacky this year.

Have the interview Thursday. It's also a work from home in the evenings. Hoping that it'll work out especially since ex isn't paying all of his child support.

Sounds interesting. Is it a job only teachers can do or can anyone do it?
Good luck with it!
It stinks that the ex isn't paying when he should be.

Sandy, I am so happy to hear you are back at work. Continued best wishes for you.

FM, best of luck with the job interview. You are such a wonderful mom. :sunny:

We had a wonderful time in Santa Fe. The best part was that he proposed!! It was so worth the wait.

Woooooooooooooooo hooooooooooooooo!!! Congratulations, TB!!!! :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc That's exciting! And a special place to do it. :cloud9:

TB...Thank you! It's nice to be back at work. :) Only thing is these people won't let me move! :( And sometimes working with nurses around is nerve wracking! (Sorry, Legs. ;) ) I know this is a serious thing, they don't have to remind me! :scared:

Suzanne...I'll be crossing my fingers your interview goes well! :) Good luck!

:bride: Congrats TB! You guys are going to be so happy together!

Thanks for all the good luck. The job is at home taking inbound calls for magazine orders for a company here out of Clearwater. I would have training for two weeks in Clearwater in the evenings which would be a you know what  but in the end something I can do at home. I'm hoping that it's everything that it sounds like.

Suzanne...It's great that you can do this from home! Hope it works out great.

TB...Thanks!

It didn't work out :( they didn't have the shift available that I would need nor could I do the training at the times they have them. In my orgnial conversation with the company I asked them about the hours and they said it would work. So I'll need to call in Dec., remind her who I am and she'll check to see if the shift I want is available. If it is, she'll hold it for me and have me come in to do the process again. Just fustrating, b/c I need another job last week.

Then DD was in trouble at school and went to the principal's office. It was only the 4th day of school. GRRRRRRR.
