Suzanne...Sorry it didn't work out for now. Maybe something better is out there! And you can look into it again. The decent jobs from home seem to be few and far between.

Sorry DD was at the principal's office, too. Nothing too bad I hope.

Legs...So far so good. I'll have to have a test done on Tuesday. Hope that one is decent also. Congrats on the last day! And good luck with the new job on Monday.

Thanks everyone! DD bite another boy that was chocking her. She didn't tell her teacher right away. I talked to her teacher the same night it happened. DD and I talked about what she should have done. I don't think she'll be doing anything to go to the office anytime soon. I hope at least.

We are going to take a break this afternoon and go to WDW. Haven't been in a month and need that break from reality I think!

Can't say I blame her one bit for biting that kid. If you are being choked, I'd say do whatever you can to make it stop.
Let's hope the kid that did it learned his lesson when he was bit.

I have good news. Finally found a part-time job and it should be wonderful. I'm the new lead teacher for the exteneded care program at our school. We are just starting it again after not having it the past four years, so I get to decide how and what we are going to do. So I"m excited.

Congratulations, Suzanne! If you can't work from home, working right where you are all day is the next best thing. Hope you enjoy it!!

Doing okay. The hospital lab seems to have a problem getting results to my doctor even though she has "STAT" and her fax number on the script. I had a blood test on Tuesday. When I called my doc's office on Thursday, they still didn't have them. E-mailed the lab director and her boss, the VP, at our divisional VP secretary's suggestion. We'll see if they improve. Never did get my results for this week. Ugh.

Looks like a gorgeous day outside. We'll have to get out!!

Hope that everyone had a fun holiday....

Had date over in Daytona Beach on Friday, a great time with kids Saturday/Sunday (didn't cross paths with you out there, Ms. S) and then today over to Blizzard Beach... and not too crowded at all! Had a fantastico time with kids as lines short, and not too hot as some clouds... a hoot.

Hope everyone has great week ahead... SSB off to Toronto for International Film Festival on Friday if anyone would like to join... haha!

We really should get in a trip to Busch Gardens...15 minutes away. Guess I'll have to talk to the doc and see if that much walking is allowed.

SSB- How do you find a date??? Would love to fly off to the film festival but I have to go elsewhere this weekend.

I am flying on 9-11 to Dallas for several days of training for work. Then will head to Tampa the following weekend to take a certification exam.

Started new job last week and too muchwork to do. At work they gave me an additional class. And it's 7th graders! Now I have to get an additional certification as right now I'm not certified to teach that grade level. Start class this coming up Sat. for every Sat till Dec. Like I ddidn't already have enough to do. They also took half of my 6th graders took them out and replaced them with new 6th graders. This all starts today. Right now I'm stressed to the max.

Oh, my gosh! How can they give you a grade you're not certified to teach? Hope it's easy enough to become certified. Will keep you in thoughts that all goes well, Suzanne. Sorry the part-time job is taking too much time away. Seems like it's feast or famine.

I had an e-mail from a friend from high school. She just got her teaching degree in May and is teaching part time. She has 2-4 grades for Language Arts, and she has 6-8 grades for Study Skills...I think DS can take that one again!

That sounds like major stress, my friend...hope that you come through all of the changes well, as seems like a lot to throw at you, at once. Howdy leggs and PW... and to the missing TB!

The date was friend of friend... had nice time as outside for beers, but don't think going to be any more than that... still sorting through noggin' all drama and hurt from last love, so SSB is in no big rush, I'll tell ya.

Toronto, was FANTASTIC.... had great weather, and a slew of good films. Couple of best were "Capote" with Philip Seymour Hoffman, and the Johnny Cash film, "Walk the Line" with J. Phoenix.... also very good!

SSB in Stamford, CT this week on business.... ack! Will be glad to get back Friday night...

FLM- Wow! Good luck with everything.
The test stunk. I have no idea how I did and I have to wait 6 weeks to find out. I drove around USF (where the test site was located) and it sure has changed. They even have a marching band now...I watched them practice. Heard the football team beat UCF Sat. night in Tampa. Could have seen it if I stayed but wanted to get back home. When I got home I had 1/2 glass of wine and passed out cold on the couch. Woke up and watched movies/dozed all night. Sunday I was at the pool all day. I really needed the rest (dd was with her dad )

Thanks, Legs. I plan to leave on Thursday to avoid Rita. I'm waiting for my exam results too so I completely understand. If I don't pass I think I am going to have to fork over the big bucks to take a review course.

FM, it sounds like you have so much on your plate right now. and for you.

SSB, glad you enjoyed Toronto! Are you going to write some movie reviews? I enjoyed your reviews last year.

We haven't been able to find a house we like so we have decided to build. It's exciting but also a little anxiety-provoking. He wants me to pick the lot this weekend. Any ideas on how to pick a lot?!?
