OK, so I don't really know how to make an ADR

I was told I need to make my ADRs tomorrow (180 days before my trip). I went online today to look at it, and sure enough I could make a reservation on October 12 if I wanted to (the calendar allows it), but the first day of my trip (October 13) is blacked out on the calendar.

My question is, starting tomorrow can I book all the meals in my trip, or just the ones that are on october 13? Will the calendar on the website "know" that I am there all week, and unlock those days for me?

Second question--is it easy to cancel reservations if our plans change? What is the procedure?

Onsite guests can book ADRs 180 days from arrival, and at that time can also book up to 10 subsequent days of ADRs. That is what 180+10 means, it is a perk for onsite guests.

When you are logged into the Disney website (assuming your resort reservation is linked), your +10 will become available at 6am eastern on your 180 day from arrival.

If you are not staying onsite, you have to book each day, 180 days from the day you want to make the ADR for.

It is easy to cancel reservations if plans change, just as easy as booking it. You just have to make sure that they are cancelled by 11:00 p.m. the night before to avoid paying the $10/person fee.

Yep - it should all work tomorrow, not only for your first day of stay, but the entire trip. (Assuming you're staying less than 10 days)

And if you have any trouble with the website (I've had it get stuck on me a few times), you can always call 407-WDW-DINE and they'll take your reservations by phone.
