Goodness gracious people. Am I the only one who smells a troll?

I have never heard of adoption from Sweden. In Sweden, they in fact adopt many children from other countries like Korea.

I just checked the State Department site and looked up info on international adoption, and I did not see Sweden listed. Which leads me to believe that they do not allow/process adoptions of Swedish children out of their country.

You beat me to it. You're right about people from Sweden adopting from various Asian countries. Most European countries handle adoptions internally. International adoptions would really only happen as a private placement similar to private adoptions in this country. Also, unlike many foreign countries that do permit adoptions Sweden does not have children languishing in orphanages waiting for a family. Romania, Russia, Korea, Columbia etc I could believe, but Sweden ?

Thanks for responding! Me my husband and DsD made our decision. The adoption agency in Sweden is a small local non-listed agency. My parents are from Sweden which is one reason they are letting me adopt,which I decided to put on hold until after the twins are born. By the way, we know have a lovely 15yo living with us soon! This username is another one of my DsD's not the one that will be living with us & she is on Spring break, so no one is getting hurt!

Let me get this straight: you have TWO 15 year-old stepdaughters and one of them is on spring break and the other is coming to live with you? Whoever originated your username also claims to be a 15 year-old girl. And in one of your threads you stated you have ONE stepdaughter:

This is a hard one. I know that you have your hands full, but you need to find out if your Step-daughter really wants to live with you. If she does, you really have no other choice in my opinion, she is after all your husbands child. Good luck to you with your twins!

I thought this as soon as I read the post...SWEDEN ????? I don't think they'd let one of those beautiful babies out of the country

In all honesty, the Swedes really aren't in the international adoption "business". Like you said, they are going to Korea (and other countries) just like the Americans.

OK. All of you need to STOP your nagging! I am 34 NOT 15! My husband has a 15yo daughter and 2sons! I ALSO have a 15yo step daughter through my ex husband as well as a step son~ I met my husband through my husband daughter and my ex husbands daughter. So Before you know all the facts don't say something snotty! I love my Family Equally and I wouldn't Change A THING! I can list my kids in any order I want. Can't anyone ask a question without rude remarks?????
