OK, I need some point transfer help...

Here is the story. I am new to this transferring thing. My family is a Disney Family!! So every year we go to Disney with My DB's family, they own DVC also and sometimes with my DS's family. My sister is a huge Disney fan. Unfortunately, her husband is not. So I am trying to find the cheapest way for them to go, so he can not say no. Being I am DVC member, I have figured it out, the best way for them to go would be for them to stay at OKW Villas in a studio at 11 points per night for 5 nights. I have 24 points for them to use and I thought I could rent points from someone else, 31, for the other 3 nights. I am assuming that would be about $300 for the other 3 nights?? How reliable would it be to try to rent points from another member and have them transfered to my account and then I can make a continous reservation for my sisters family? Is it safe? How does it work?? Comments, directions, thoughts, everyone chime in???

If its family member you are renting from, why can't they make the reservation for you. You can then reserve the other days you need and link the reservation to make them continuous. Can you boroow points from next year?

We have had no problem with renting and tranferring points.

No, maybe I did not write this correctly. I want to rent points from another member, transfer only, to book a room for my sister and her family. My sister does is not a DVC member. I have 24 points for her and she would need and additional 31 points. I have read all the horror posts of members renting points and not getting their money or paying the money and not getting the reservation. I guess I am just looking to see if anyone has had points transfered in and if there were any issues. How does it work, etc.

If you follow the guidelines that you can find posted here on the DIS you should be ok.

Question is will you be able to find someone who is willing to transfer your small number of points at the price you expect to pay?
