Reservation Booking Strategy (e.g. how to use the website

Hi Everyone,
Going to be my second year as a DVCer, and trying to book for next year and worried about availability (limited right now according to Call Center). Wondering about how the website currently works. Should I put in my dates before 8:00 on the "Start your Search" page, and then at 8:00:01, hit the "Check Availability" button? Or do the search before 8:00, and then hit "Close and refresh results"? Or, is there another option?

Sorta feel like I'm trying to get dining reservations, but a lot higher stakes, and nervous in the service!

It seems the system is allowing you to search right before 8 am and then hit continue.

But, I would do a practice run and see what happens!! Just choose a date before you 11 month window and see what happens!

I will be attempting to book for the first time tonight at my 11 month mark. Does the website booking window open at midnight EST or 8am EST? I’m trying to book Thanksgiving Week next year. Hopefully we can get it done.

8 am est when booking right at 11 or 7 months out!
