Ok gang it's time to get serious!!

Doing well, so far. I have to really think about the water, to make sure I get 64 oz. Did my exercize today. I have a pilates tape I was going to try, but after reading KathyTX's experience, I'm a little hesitant (and maybe I should just bury the tape in the back yard :p )
Haven't had any problems with the "plan", (yeah, right, except for the urge to run out and find the nearest Krispy Kreme place) (it's ok, I beat it down :D )

I'll join the challenge. I am going to keep up with the water, my 5 a day fruit and vegies and journaling. I'm going to add exercise. Now I've not exercised in a very long time so I am starting slowing. I am only committing to one day a week but that is more than I have been doing so it is a start. Wish me luck!

Linda! We can do Pilates together, long-distance. I am determined to keep working on it, and maybe I can get to the point that what I do vaguely resembles what the ladies on the tape are doing!:p Then, one of these days, you and I can make our OWN exercise tape!

Give it a shot, then we can commiserate!

(Although digging holes in the backyard should also count as exercise...)

How's everyone doing???? It's a rainy sunday morning here but that's no reason to not go to the gym right?????

I am restarting today :(
Yesterday was the twins bday party, and I had their cake and icecream...oh and maybe 2 slices of pizza :(

So I am back on today....

Did I mention the part of the webmasteralex challenge part deux where if you blow it for a birthday party you have to send me a $100.00?

EEK! Then it is really a good thing that my dh decided he didn't want any cake for his birthday today! ;) ;)

Checking in!! I am drinking my water plus some, and have done the 3 mile tape each day. And thank goodness the slim a bears are outta here! Last night I would have eaten one. I had some raspberries instead. :)

UGH! I need to get motivated again!!! Alex, make me a challenge I can follow! No matter how hard. I ate some Hershey's Sugar Free chocolate and have been sick with a stomach ache ever since. So, how do I battle that?? I EAT

SO far so good!!!! I am managing to stay within points adn I did 1 mile walk on Friday 2 mile on saturday and my 6 mile today!!!!

Er...um...nope didn't have it in writing so doesn't hold up in a court of law :p sorry :)

Just came back from the gym and the grocery store where i bought lots of good low carb stuff!! Scallops wrapped in bacon...yummmm :)

I didn't even read this whole thread but I read the first post and I'll join this challenge thread- I need to (read my stalling thread LOL)

So I hereby vow to cut out the SF items that I'd starting eating more and more of lately, to eat more veggies, make SURE I'm drinking enough water, and start exercising again. And if I don't, I'll kick myself in the ****. LOL

Checking in:

I did really well with keeping my carbs low yesterday - enough to give me that nudge I needed to........

GET A NEW CLIPPIE!!!
:bounce: :bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc

Thanks WebmasterAlex for the push (nudge)!

Yummy! PARTY AT ALEX'S HOUSE, EVERYBODY!!!!

I'm still on plan. :teeth:

The bad news is that I've discovered thet I HATE JOURNALING!!!! I have learned a lot from doing it, though, & I think it's helping to keep me honest. :earseek:

I'm doing great at staying within my eating plan, & even better with exercise!
My goal with exercise was to increase either the time spent or the intensity. The other day I was a little short on time so I did something I haven't been able to do for years - I actually JOGGED for a short distance instead of walking! Not only that, but part of it was on a slight uphill! OK, it was only .1 mi, but believe me when I say this, for me in the shape I'm in that's an accomplishment! I'm going to keep adding short segments of jogging to my walks & see if I can build up to doing even more.

The best news is that I've dropped 1.5 lbs since Fri. I'm working for another 1.5 before the end of this challenge so I can pick up that elusive 10 lb clippie.

Checking in Alex.

I just awakened a few hours ago. This will be my first full day and night after a very long work week.

It's also my 4th week on Atkin's Diet and finishing 4th day of Alex's Challenge.

I seem to be working backwards on the Atkin's Diet, I started on the less than 20 carbs. per day induction, and I'm still on it. And I learned a few things that were maybe adding carbs..

Like with my bacon and eggs. I was using Publix thick bacon, but it has 1-gram of carbs. per slice. I know make sure that the label says no carbs. I also was told that cooking the fried eggs in the bacon drippings added another 1/2 gram per egg. So now I dump the bacon drippings. And I have to be careful with using cheese with less carbs. on my scambled eggs.

For snacks, I ate red hot pork rinds. I thought they were zero carbs., but they were one carb. per serving, so now I eat plain, zero-labeled pork rinds.

Also cheese sticks that I was eating had 1-gram per cheese stick. no more.

And with steaks, I love worstershire sauce, but it had 1-gram of carb. per teaspoon. Now, I use zero carb. Liquid Smoke sauce and butter.

And onions. My weakness with cooking hamburgers with onions at 7-grams per 1/2 cup. No more. :(

Also, no coffee(they say caffeine may make me hungry).
No Diet-Coke, Crystal Light(they say aspartine may slow weight loss).
No green olives(1-gram per 5-olives).

I drink 22-ounces of water at a time. Many times. Nothing else.

Alex, I'm still on zero carbs., or at least, very close to it, as best as I can tell.

My body must be very resistent, or I'm doing something very wrong.

But I am not hungry. And I feel much better. And I only eat when I feel hungry, which is about twice a day.

I just want to see the scale go down faster. Especially for my huge size.

I'm not hungry. But I'm not losing the weight for my size.

Thanks for the Challenge, Alex.

I'm on zero carbs., I hope, and I've started the treadmill this week.

I've sorta worked backwards on Atkin's Diet by going from less than 20-grams per day to as close to zero carbs. per day as best as I can figure out. I also learned a lot about hidden carbs.

Best wishes and encouragement, RaySharpton:)

Wow Ray...it's amazing where those little hidden carbs sneak in and then they all add up. Keep it up, don't get discouraged because you are not dropping fast...sometimes slow is better...that's what Weight Watchers teaches. Keep drinking that water, I found that really helps me. I've been meeting my challenge and drinking tons of water everyday.

Sounds like everyone is doing great! I'm still on track, even if I can't move a muscle :)
Ray you say you want to see it move faster...how much have you lost and in what time frame?

I am still on track with the challenge. Today is the day I also do my Pilates workout so that will be this afternoon. I finished my treadmilling this morning and getting ready to do weights.
