So far so good food wise...someone kick my butt into exercising please?

here's a little push glo- kicking is just too violent for me!!! ;)

i just saw this today! i'll jump in if I can :)

Ok, been thinking here and my slips have been having a bite or two while dishing out my kids ice cream, or popping a few graham cookies in my mouth while passing through, you get the picture. I'm not faithfully counting every bite that goes into my mouth. That's what I will do this week. No bites or tastes or a sneak of something that won't count!

I've been doing well on exercising for me - 6 days a week. I will jog three times next week 2.3/2.5/2.3 and I will try all three yoga/pilates DVDs that I brought home from the library. I will do pilates at least three times next week and see if I really like it or not.

Oh dear - I had a scheduled cheat day on Sunday after making my mini-goal! Well I may not qualify for the clippie then, but I will still follow my goals for the next week and journal to the best I can on Sunday at the baby shower. Yes, Mom, how many pts are those petit fours?? I'm having a couple too ;) (she's been talking about them for at least a week ;))

I'm really not doing well journaling either, I will journal three times next week and once today!

I have gotten all my exercising in for the day (treadmilling-30 min., Pilates-20 min, weight training on my legs. I am still within pts for the day.:D

Owwww...

I just tried pilates for the first time. I think I found muscles that have been sleeping for a lllloooonnnggg time. They're sort of twitching and trembling in shock right now. And, I must admit- it probably didn't look like I was doing the same moves as the women on the video!

But there's a start. Staying in my points and drinking enough water is a snap compared to this exercise business!:p

(*grumble, grumble* ... alex and his stinking challenges... who does he think he is, anyway... going off to play at wdw and then coming home and making us do penance for his gastronomical sins... harumph... just wait until I come home from vacation, i'll show him... "perfect", my foot... );)

I'm in ... a little late!

I will:

(1) Journal my food intake every day.
(2) Work out at least 30 minutes at the YMCA 4 times a week.
(3) Cut the alcohol from my week days. I'm not on Atkins, so I can still have some yummy carbs on the weekend ;).

So, I guess I will start tomorrow. On a Saturday. When I'm going to a Cubs game. Yikes!

I'm doing ok! Didn't walk today but, I did help clean my daughters room and that should count as a major workout.

Can you believe I found her Easter Basket, almost completely intact!!!! What's up with that?? That basket wouldn't have lasted 2 days in my hands (prior to WISH). I did catch myself picking up a Snickers Egg and wishing I could eat it! I put it back  (but I really wanted it)

why Kelsie- I'm so impressed!! Such WillPOWER! WAy to go!!!!!

I did ok today as well- but I didn't get my excercise in- that's ok- i only committed to 4 days this week anyway- Tomorrow I'll walk!

KathyTX,

I'm not just drinking my water - I'm doing the as close to 0 carbs thing, too. I'd do exercise and be miserable with you, but, I've injured both my shoulder and foot - so I can't! Sorry!

I did think that Alex's "perfect" line was a bit OTT!

Ouch, Karyn! Sorry about the injuries... maybe you'll be up to joining me for exercise next week!

(What, you don't think Alex is perfect? :p )

KathyTX,

Alex, perfect? I haven't had the pleasure of his aquaintence long enough to determine that. I'm sure in his own mind he is!

I doubt that I will be exercising anytime soon. However, if anyone has any suggestions that don't involve my left shoulder and right foot (and toss my arthritic neck in there) I'd be glad to hear suggestions!

I'm off for a there and back again drive to Lexington, KY. I will try to be good, oh, and stay on the Challenge!

Karyn

something seems to be working cos I just got on my friends scale and Im down 3 pounds - what a confidence booster!

I'm perfect so far!!!

Of course! ;)

No chocolate so far, and Ive wanted some. The real challenge will be getting through the tough days tomorrow (the showers back on  ) and Wednesday.

So far so good for me. :teeth: I've met my walking goals both Fri & today, & have not touched a single bite that was not on my scheduled plan. Although I'm not on Atkins, I've been looking at what I'm logging as my food entries & am trying to find ways to cut out at least some of the carbs in my diet. I'm finding I really do eat a lot of foods that are high in carbs by logging everything I eat & reading the nutrition labels!
My hardest temptation was to resist the "foot" cookies at the Relay For Life Cancer walk I was at yesterday! I figured that since I was there to help support a friend with her health issues, I best take care of my own as well, so I didn't eat the cookie! :teeth:
I'm determined to see a loss this week! :earseek:

Alex - this was the most appropriate thread to have pop up in my email as the Magic sailed by on twopalms webcam!
Thanks for the inspiration

So far so good here too. I walked yesterday - have not today (yet) but working outside in over 90 degree heat has to be worth something!

I am trying to do the zero carbs too but am closer to 15 I think. I would like to get it lower as the week goes on.

I read Alex's orig thread - AS MUCH DIET COKE as you want? That is my kind of plan! I am drinking my water first, so that is good.
