Ok gang it's time to get serious!!

I'm new to the WISH board, but I'm in. I am going to do Curves four times starting next week and try to walk the other 3 days. Also, I am trying to follow WW without attending the meetings, so the encouragement from this board really helps. Tried one of those Pria bars, they are awesome for the chocolate cravings. Also, over the weekend made a turkey dinner with all the trimmings for the family including an apple and pecan pie, DIL brought her incredible chocolate truffle so I really need to get back on track. Normally, I would have to eat these yummies till they were gone, but not this time. I had some of each and now I am satisfied and walk right by the leftoovers. Definitely up for the challenge. After our last trip to WDW in April, I looked at the pictures of me with my baby granddaughter and thought "Who is that woman who looks like a floral armchair in that bathing suit?" Well, it was me. I am determined not to look like that anymore. I figured if I kept going the way I was, next trip I'd look more like the couch, so the pounds have to come off!
 
Okay, I really need this kick in the b*** right now. I've been slacking a bit the past two weeks, and I'm feeling it.

Water- I will drink at least 64 oz per day. (I've been bad for two weeks now... gotta get back on track.)

Exercise- I just got a beginning Pilates DVD. I will break the seal on it. ;) You think I should actually DO the exercises? Okay- I'll do the beginner workout at least 3 times this week. It's a start! This should be a good way to firm up my midsection...
 
I will exercise every day between now and leaving for vacation (6/7) and I will drink all my water each day. (Blaaaaahhhhh!!!!)
 
I'm in Alex!:D

Sticking to meat, eggs, some veggies, little cheese, etc. - just the basics! I will continue to journal on my journal page all that I eat.

I will drink at minimum 1/2 gallon of water each day.

I will take my multi vitamin pill each day.

I will walk on the treadmill at least 3 times the next 7 days.



We can all do this Alex -- by working together!

It's time to increase the water. I had been averaging 48oz daily but I should increase to 72oz.
 
Actually I haven't left Induction since the last challenge, I'm determined to meet my goal, however long it takes! Less than 20g of carbs/day for me.

Alex I want to hear more about all that yummy food you indulged in!!!! In detail....I always eat what I want when I go to Disney and enjoy every bite! My fav. is a Kringle at Kringla's Bakery in Norway...they are huge and that frosting:eek:
 
Even though I am new to the WISH board and was not here for the last challenge - I am IN on this one!

I have been doing Atkins - more like maintenance not induction so I will start there with severely limiting my carbs! Will drink all of my water like a good girl too!

And I WILL walk on that treadmill every day!:Pinkbounc

I'm in too, Alex.

I'm finally over my little kidney infection, and back from vacation in PA, visiting my boys. Gained 2 pounds:( .

I'm back on induction and will be having less than 20 grams of carbs per day. I will drink 64oz water every day, and I will ride my stationary bike at least 30 min, 3x per week. I will do a journal entry at least 3 x per week.

Deep breath, I can do this!!

I still haven't gotten rid of the pound I gained over Memorial weekend (and this is supposed to be a good TOM). Wah!

I am going to write down what I eat and stop cheating with "tastes" of things.

Along with my usual walking, I am going to do at least 100 crunches a day (not all at one time).
 
After much thought ( all 10 minutes it took to read this thread!!! ) I have determined that I will accept the ALEX CHALLENGE part duex! But, I started yesterday!

I will do the ALEX CHALLENGE part un and since I have finally received my WATP tapes, I will do those 4 days this week!
 
Alex, count me in. I'm not losing weight as fast as I should. I cheated once, back on May 19th. I hope to lose this week. I weigh on Saturday.

This past week I gave up aspartine, and caffiene.

I want to do zero carbs, too. I've been doing less than 20 carbs, but I must be doing something wrong.

On Friday, I'll promise to do zero carbs, and walk on the treadmill after I get off work each day and during the week and try to work up to 30 minutes.

Alex, what do you eat for zero carbs? What do you put on your steaks and boneless chicken breasts? Do you eat bacon with your eggs?

Do you use the following on zero carb? :
salt
pepper
grillmates steak powder seasoning
onions (with hamburgers)
no vegetables
Whostershire steak liquid sauce

I'm in too!

I will journal and stay in points. I haven't done either one yet, for any length of time. Actually I will start today, and I am challenging myself to do this for 6 weeks. I need to get it into a lifestyle!!!

also I am adding in an aerobic workout (to a tape, or a walk) 3x a week, and weights 2x a week.
 
I'm in! Here's what I'll attempt to do:

1. Drink at least 64 oz. of H2O daily. I've REALLY been bad about this lately!

2. Get back to journaling and not go over my points.

3. Limit myself to no more than 2 Diet Cokes per day.

4. Try walking around the block. My fractured rib is still too sore to do any exercising or fast/long walks.

I'm Sooooooooo in!!!!! This is just the motivation I need to keep me from cheating this weekend when I have to attend a retreat for work!!! :D :D

I will drink 8 glasses of water every day! (Even if it means jumping up in the middle of a meeting & making a mad dash for the restroom!)

I will write down every bite of food! This is something that I have been getting very sloppy about!

I will walk on my treadmill for 30 min. every day!
 
HERE WE GO!!!! We start tonite at midnite so kill those last minute cravings NOW!!! I am so proud of all of you!!!
 
I'm Taking It!!!

Okay, Alex, I am up for your challenge! I don't think I am going to hit my goal for our WDW trip and this is JUST the thing to get me jumpstarted.

1. I will up my minimum water to 64 oz a day (instead of 48) before I can have my Dt. Coke.

2. No snacky carbs (slim a bears, tootsie pops, etc) after 4 pm. I guess I need to eat that last Slim a Bear tonight. ;)

3. Do the 3 mile WATP every day instead of my 2 mile/3 mile routine.
 
Okay I already know I am having a treat on Sunday (actually planning on 2 petit fours - they are heavenly) I just can't do something that would not allow me to have those - I even dream about how good they will be :D

I'm thinking and thinking and I really want that new 20 lb. clippie next week so I better .................

increase my treadmill miles to (yikes) 5 mi 3 x next week along with the usual 4 mi the other days and a 6 miler on Sat. and do the WATP tapes at least 3 times next week. This is a challenge to me as I walk in the morning and I will have to get up even earlier to do this during the week. But I want a new clippie!!!

Oh yeah and journal at least 4 times too. OhMom will be so proud of me, if I do this part ! I was off to journal but not now, not until after midnight - I am saving those thoughts for later - when they count!!
 
I am soooo IN!!!...I have already started..and I am glad Alex came up with this!!!!

Exercise (Major Cardio) for at least 30 Mins...4 times a week. I seem to be doing everything else right...less than 20 carbs a day...maybe more water..okay that too!!

I have pretty much been sticking to the original Atkins without all the fluff since the last challenge. I have had a few setbacks but am learning to deal with them and move on. I don't want to ever take them too lightly though.

I will continue with under 10 carbs. I know I can't avoid them altogether since most everything has some. I will increase my water to 72 oz a day and walk at least 4 times a week (this is the difficult part lol).

I want that last pound to get my 25 pound clippy!!!
 
OK, I'm in on this one! I was going to ask for an Alex challenge anyway. Here's what I will do:

1) I will do ABSOLUTELY NO CHEATING with forbidden snacks. I have not been good about that this week & I need to get back on track. No cookies, no chips, no cake, none of that stuff I don't need to be eating.
2) I will exercise 6 days this week instead of my usual 5 days. I will increase either the time I spend in each exercise session or increase the intensity of my workout for each time I exercise.
3) I will get back to my doing my journal which I haven't touched in about 3 weeks.

I want to qualify for my 10 lb clippie by the end of this challenge. Thanks for the push to get me going.
