Our waiter last week told me that Ohanna's will be changing their menu. One thing she mentioned wasv they are going back to the pineapple, no more of that yummy bread pudding. Other thing may change too, but I didn't get any more details.

I think a lot of people will be very happy with going back to pineapple. That seemed to be a huge disappointment when they took that away

When will the change take place? We have ressies for Dec 5 and we love the menu the way it is.

Thanks for the report. That is great to hear. I do hope the waiter was correct.

And please please please, let them bring back the rice! ;) I would probably give it another try with that rice.

We LOVE the bread pudding. I hope they do not take it away. We will be down there Thanksgiving week and were not planning on going to 'Ohana because we were just there July 4th week but maybe we should go and get the bread pudding one last time before they do away with it.

Any idea on what else they may be changing?

Linda

You can ask for the pineapple now and get it. I like it better than the bread pudding... just me of course...

Rats! I love the bread pudding with ice cream and bananas Foster way more than plain sliced pineapple with canned caramel sauce. I hope they keep the bread pudding at least as an option.

It will be interesting to see if this actually happens as waiters have told other people this since the menu changes first took place. I hope they bring back the shrimp wontons and the shrimp on the skewers.

Full disclosure. I'm a bread pudding junkie. So obviously I'm going to lobby for bread pudding. But I also know bread pudding. That was the best bread pudding on the property and some of the best I've had ever.

I can easily buy a pineapple here. Well being the junkie that I am, I can make bread pudding too. But it's not as easy as buying a pineapple and putting canned caramel over it. Pineapple isn't cheap. But it looks cheap compared to what they do with the bread pudding.

I also prefer the potatoes to the rice.

i like the potatoes over the rice but I do miss the wontons. The first time we went to 'Ohana - probably in 1998 - they had eggrolls.

We ate at Ohana's in 1999 and again just last week. Our meal last week wasn't near as good. The menu had changed and I really missed the eggrolls and pineapple w/ caramel. (The meat wasn't as good either.) I know pineapple sounds boring, but it was 'to die for'! I just wonder if management is paying attention to the bad reviews? I hope so.

I am sorry, but pineapple and caramel are just plain NOT meant to go together! I loved the bread pudding though!!!

Please say this isn't true!!!! I LOVE the bread pudding!!! We were just there last week and had a great meal. Meats were cooked perfectly...potatoes were yummy (had seconds)....loved the shrimp.....the only thing I would change are the wontons as I liked the old ones better. I never ate the pineapple and caramel when it was served......but I would go to Ohana for the bread pudding alone!!!

I remember dining there in '98 and they had lo mein! Our girls were tiny then, 1 &3, I remember ordering plate after plate of lo mein for them. Those WERE the days!

you got that right. Yippee!! I sure love that pineapple

NOOOOOO! We love the bread pudding. That is one of my fave desserts in all WDW. They can't go back to the pineapple. Im allergic to it and can't eat it like that. So unless they have another option, Im out of luck. Don't get rid of the bread pudding with that yummy foster sauce. MMMMM!

Oh man! They can NOT get rid of that bread pudding. I'm not going until February and I will have to reconsider my ADR for Ohana if they change it.

I love the bread pudding but also like the pinneapple too. I don't really like the potatoes, they made DH sick on two trips. The wontons are excellent too. I like the old menu at 'Ohana but with the bread pudding for dessert.
