Oh what a horrible trip!!!! Now for something completely different-Final blast ......

Wait - I know - Safari! :cool1: (Or maybe the Dawa bar BEFORE the safari)

You look like you are having a great time on EE. :thumbsup2

I see you have just about as much luck as I do with photographing the big cats. Darn fickle cats. Can't they just stand there and pose? :rotfl2:

Great pics!

You are close but not quite there. :rolleyes1

EE is always a blast. Have no problems riding over and over. The backwards part makes me close my eyes and hold my breath a bit but otherwise no dizzy or unsettling issues.

Those big cats need cool weather. THe best luck I had was over New Years.

I actually saw some hidden Mickeys:cool1: You are so brave with arms in air on EE and that gal next to you is soooooo calmly looking over the edge:scared1::scared1::scared1::rotfl2:

I glad you saw some!!!!! Arms in the air and lifting my feet up a little... got that tip from the DIS. That lap bar is so tight that I go nowhere. :lmao:

You got some really good Fireworks pictures! I never can get clear ones, I have a couple of cool ones of fireworks but they are all weird and squiggly. My camera has a fireworks setting but it is a delay feature and I get frustrated with it.

Great job on getting to rope drop at AK, looks like you made the right choice crowds wise. I love the Tigers, we missed them on the last trip (actually didn't get to either of the "Trails."

I take a million and a few turn out okay. :lmao: I always find the fireworks setting never works right for me.
The tip that works thanks to MEK is using the TV setting - you get to manipulate the shutter speed a little with out being totally on manual.
I usually can pick a 1/8 or 1/10 and have it work for me.

The tigers are best on a cool day. Best time was over New Years a few years ago. Real cold snap and they were up and walking around.

You can never have too many EE fastpasses in hand. And if you don't use them all, you can always give them away or keep 'em for the scrapbook.

I'm always amazed at your ability to find Hidden Mickeys. Don't you love that Asia trail? The theming is great.

Never enough EE FP. Either that or the single rider line. :thumbsup2

Giving them a way was always a great option until the return time enforcement. I guess with the new next gen FP and the RFID that may all go away. If everything is on your wristband or card, then no more paper Fps??

I see hidden Mickeys everywhere I go!!! :lmao: Some Legit and Some wishful thinking. :rotfl:

The Maharajah trail is well themed. MAybe next time I can spend even more time back there to look for more HM.

Great update, Pat. Love the photos of you on EE. I still can't believe that you, like MaryEllen, take pics on the ride.

Love the iguana. I don't think I've ever even noticed that mural.

Great update, never too many rides on EE. I've almost bought that dress many times, looks great on you!

The murals really are lovely.... ahhh those Disney details...

I am also in awe of your ability to take photos while riding EE... just looking at those pictures is giving me that funny flip flop feeling in my stomach...:sad2: I'll still ride it though...;)

Hmmm ARE you going to the Dawa Bar? Wait it's still probably too early??? or not...

popcorn::

How lucky that the lines were short for EE and you got to go a couple of times. :thumbsup2

I love the murals along the Maharajah Jungle Trek!

GREAT pictures on EE!!! Where is the scary skeleton guy??? Don't think I have seen him before.

Loved the lizard closeup!

Is there a Hidden Mickey in the mural with all of the deer-thingys? I looked for awhile but didn't see one. Or is a deer sometimes just a deer?

Tigers are so beautiful! Sorry they didn't pose for you. Horrible!!!

Ready for his close up.

IMG_5130.jpg

Cool shot! We missed this trail in October. It's definitely my favorite of them too...so scenic. I can NEVER find the HM's when I'm there, but spot them in people's pictures. :confused3:rotfl: I think I need to buy the app!

Oh my god. I've never noticed the creepy skeleton on Everest! I totally have to pay attention next time.

Safari up next! Woot woot.

Love the iguana. I don't think I've ever even noticed that mural.

Now with a neck strap I can do it. With my other camera and only a wrist strap I was afraid. I may have still done it but I was afraid.

The Maharajah trail is really beautiful and so detailed.

Great update, never too many rides on EE. I've almost bought that dress many times, looks great on you!

I think my record may be 8 rides back to back to close the park. :lmao:

That dress is really comfortable.

The murals really are lovely.... ahhh those Disney details...

The backwards part always makes me hold my breath a little but never have an issue otherwise.

Not the Dawa... not yet.

How lucky that the lines were short for EE and you got to go a couple of times. :thumbsup2

I love the murals along the Maharajah Jungle Trek!

Short lines at the start and end of the day. ::yes::

Love closing the park on EE.

No matter how much I spend on the trails, I always find something new everytime I go.

Scary skeleton is on the right side going through the first lift. It may be new since I have never seen it before either.

I looked again in the deer thingy and mybe the leopard on the right?? Usually those spots make at least one HM. :rotfl2:

Yes the horrible tigers. ;)

There is an APP????

Cooler weather a great time to look for them. Tigers never do much when it is warm. :rotfl2:

Oh my god. I've never noticed the creepy skeleton on Everest! I totally have to pay attention next time.

Safari up next! Woot woot.

Right side on the first lift hill for the skeleton.

Not quite the safari but close.

Here is another clue.

Okay – If you have not already guessed, Time to take the train to Rafiki’s Planet Watch or conservation station, whichever it is currently being called

Our surgery for today-

IMG_5147.jpg

Of course I can see his best side.

IMG_5148.jpg

I did not take notes on why he was in there. Must have been sort of routine since usually I will take a picture of the procedure board to remember. How horrible. ;)

I really want this

Now the meerkat does his thing.

Some cute shirts

IMG_5160.jpg

Onward and forward.
Down to Camp Mickey Minnie for you guessed it …..

I wanted to go to Rafiki's Planet Watch in October, but after Cynthia told me her HORRIFIC train experience, I opted out. However, I think I will take the plunge next October. I don't relish the thought in the summer.

Be back later to see your pics!

Very amusing update.

No, I totally didn't guess Rafiki's Planet Watch. I have never been and I forget that it is even there!

That was not a bad speciman of the North American male. ;)

I suspect that the money tree blooms more for those who are selling it than those who are buying it...

was that first sign in the stall bathroom? they should have rotating signs s o people that in there for a while to you know take care of business dont get bored reading the same thing over and over again.:thumbsup2

how horrible of you to forget to take a picture of the exam sign.

that was a marvelous tree/bush i hope you purchased it.

Here is another clue.

IMG_5141.jpg

Ahhh Rafiki's. I was with everyone else, thinking it was the safari.

Our surgery for today-

IMG_5147.jpg

I wonder if they don't have any animal that needs a surgery....if they just grab some critter and take his appendix or tonsils out. The show must go on.

Walking back over to Africa and the Pangani trail
The elusive okapi- the front and the back

IMG_5150.jpg

Very efficient.

North American Male

Have you used that joke before?

My own money tree. When the 20s start blooming, I will let everyone know

I don't want to be greedy, so you can just send me a 10 now. ::yes::

I am sure if I ever had Cynthia's experience I would be train shy too. I have many easy and not ever stopping train rides so I hop on. I just wish they would know the procedures or better yet post them at teh entrance to either entice more people or notify them what is going on so you are not riding blind so to speak. Many a time I have taken the ride out there just to ride back because nothing super interesting is going on.

However if you see them kidnap an animal....... make the trip. ::yes::

Rafiki's is a neat place but having explored most of it and really looking for the procedures it is pretty hit or miss with me. If I have time or if I am with someone who has not been there - I go. If I am short on time I may skip it.

As for the money tree that probably is a Confuscious saying... :lmao:

Funny now that I have one I do see them in many places, the chripractors office, a hotel lobby, my friend has one and it was givine to her by her financial advisor. :rotfl:

was that first sign in the stall bathroom? they should have rotating signs s o people that in there for a while to you know take care of business dont get bored reading the same thing over and over again.:thumbsup2

Maybe they need a part two for those going number two. :lmao:

yup I was slaking onthe picture taking this trip- how horrible.;)

My Marvelous money tree is in my office. I indeed did purchase it and I will let you know when the 20 dollar bills start coming in. ;) But I have a feeling you may see updates from Marv more frequently than I will see real money from that tree.

I think it is fitting you get the top of the page. ;)

Ahhh Rafiki's. I was with everyone else, thinking it was the safari.

Everyone forgets about that place. Maybe everyone has some homework to do.

Go check it out, especially in the morning to catch the procedures. ::yes::

I wonder if they don't have any animal that needs a surgery....if they just grab some critter and take his appendix or tonsils out. The show must go on.

Most times - they are either arrival exams for animals that being introduced to the population, or routine checks.

I am sure someone came up with the idea to do the exams in front, behind glass instead of behind closed doors for the public. Soemtimes it is a treat.

I was walking by Africa and saw a large crate go by, I walked back and took the next train out. They were doing a followup check on a kangaroo.

kidnapping

Very efficient.

I thought so.

Have you used that joke before?

And I will probably use it again, and again , and again. Sorry :flower3

Sure thing... It is in the mail... :rolleyes1

I really want this

Well, this certainly puts a new spin on the pink flamingo lawn ornament, doesn't it? :rotfl2:

Not sure what the neighbors would say.

North American Male. Oh Yeah!

Fun pictures!

I have the Mickey ear flamingo antenna topper but he faded to a very pale pink- not enough shrimp I guess. It really helps me find my car in the lot.

I think I'm caught up -

Cute Meerkat pics - the American Male - well, you find them everywhere., :rotfl2:

I am thinking the real name for the Rafiki area - is "Trick some guests into taking the train to nowhereland and leave them there - don't come back and get them until they are all laying on the platform asleep from boredom." I mean - the posters in the bathroom explaining dinosaur poop - seems desperate to me.. just sayin' :rolleyes1 (not because we had an experience where the return train never came back to get us or anything...)

Nice buy on the money tree - I had one and I killed it! :lmao: How is yours doing?

Oh cool, I never got to see a surgery there. Although I'm kind of squeamish so I'm not sure I could actually stay in the same room! :rotfl:
Training the meerkat? How interesting, to do what? I watched some cms training one of the tiny deer (can't remember what they're called!) to walk onto a scale. It was for easier vetting. Pretty neat!
