The real scandal is why the mainstream media didn't bother to investigate it last December when Edward's was still a candidate.

And THAT seriously needs to be investigated by the Feds/IRS. Funneling money to his mistress, giving large sums of money without paying tax, is a violation of campaign laws, gift tax laws, etc.

I can't think of a more unreliable source than The National Enquirer. I'm not saying that they aren't right with what they are saying but, unless it's backed up by another reputable source (i.e. not Fox News), I don't even think it's worth discussing.

Everybody said that when they broke the story and poof! a coupel fo days later we had a tearful confession of his terrible mistake.

OH and didn't she have the two younger kids later in life b/c of the loss of her son? I could be wrong but I think having children after age 40(?) contributes to a greater risk for breast cancer in women.

Because the guy is willing to lie to his wife and disown his child (which is worse, but as yet unproven). If he's willing to lie to his wife (and cheat on her while she's battling cancer) and family - the people closest to him - what possible reason would we have to believe he isn't lying to us?

He's a total and complete sleaze. Some folks would rather not have such a sleazy guy representing them in any way, shape or form. Some would.

Although I don't read the Enquirer they certainly have been right about Edwards. They are the ones who caught Edwards at 2:40am leaving her hotel room when he was visiting Hunter and the baby last month.

If the affair was over and he's not the father, why in the heck was he there? A late shower gift perhaps?

I am NOT looking at this as a "Oooo we got a Democrat scandal story" I'm looking at it as "Only the lowest form of human trash would cheat on his wife while she's dying." He makes me sick.

My first marriage I was the woman that was cheated on & my husband left me for the other woman. I had a very difficult time. I can't imagine surviving it while battling cancer.
