 Yeah, its from the National Enquirer but they have gotten the Breck Girl right so far. This also coincides with what she supposedly told her friends; that she will be together with Edwards. If I were Elizabeth, I would take him to the cleaners!

John Edwards
One-time Democratic presidential candidate John Edwards promised his mistress they would reunited once his cancer-stricken wife died, the National Enquirer reported.
The Enquirer - which first broke word of the Edwards scandal - also reported that mistress Rielle Hunter refuses to make Edwards take a paternity test because she fears it will jeopardize their future.
Edwards, who admitted the affair earlier this month after repeated denials, remains in contact with Hunter even now, according to the Enquirer.
The North Carolina politician called her after his Aug. 8 confession on national television, reportedly telling her: "We'll be together when Elizabeth is gone."
One day before Edwards went public with the affair, Hunter and 6-month-old daughter Frances were flown to the Virgin Islands on a chartered jet, the Enquirer reported.
The $50,000 trip was paid for by friends of Edwards. The newspaper also said she stayed at the oceanfront home of another Edwards' pal, lawyer Lee Rohn.
The supermarket tabloid claimed Edwards begged Hunter not to have an abortion when she became pregnant last year.

I can't think of a more unreliable source than The National Enquirer. I'm not saying that they aren't right with what they are saying but, unless it's backed up by another reputable source (i.e. not Fox News), I don't even think it's worth discussing.

I said before that if I were that woman, I'd die my hair, change my name, move far away and fake some morals until I gained them. She should get out of the public eye and he ought to pay for it. God knows he has the money and she didn't hop into this boat by herself.

But it needs to be done quietly and with some sense, which obviously neither of them have. They need to call someone who has some sense.

What's done is done. But that baby should not have to grow up knowing what kind of sleazy people its parents were.

If I were Elizabeth, I would be thinking about Lorena Bobbitt.

Must be true. It was in the paper not good enough to wrap fish:lmao: :lmao:

LOL we don't usually agree dawn...but Lorena Bobbitts name came up when I was discussing edwards this weekend also!!

You can't think of a more unreliable source but they have been right 100% of the time with the Edwards story. Do you think that perhaps there is a reason that she won't insist on a paternity test? She knows. He knows. He's made promises. They spent the night together. It ain't over and Elizabeth is the victim here. NOT the Pretty Pony!

Although I don't read the Enquirer they certainly have been right about Edwards. They are the ones who caught Edwards at 2:40am leaving her hotel room when he was visiting Hunter and the baby last month.

If the affair was over and he's not the father, why in the heck was he there? A late shower gift perhaps? :scratchin

I am NOT looking at this as a "Oooo we got a Democrat scandal story" I'm looking at it as "Only the lowest form of human trash would cheat on his wife while she's dying." He makes me sick. :sad2: :sad1:

Exactly. the Democrats have rightly disowned him. He is trash and he has a lot of trashy friends aiding and abetting.

:thumbsup2 Exactly! Edwards = Scum... :scared:

Edwards is a total lowlife, scumbag. My heart just breaks for Elizabeth.

I didn't even know the Enquirer was still around. ;) How long has his wife known about the affair? Is she staying with him?

They have been dead on center right about this story since the get go!

I noticed when a women is scorned, the women of the dis leave party affiliates behind and join together :rotfl:

My heart aches for Elizabeth's children also. They're the ones losing their mother. Do you think their pig of a father (no offense to pigs) will be a comfort to them.:sad1:

This is past politics in my opinion because I see it as whatever limited damage he might have inflicted is over and done with. It is now about just watching in disgust as all the sordid details continue to play out. I do feel for Elizabeth, but I've also lost some respect for her. Not because she chooses to stay with her husband, or whether or not she's forgiven him. It's that she knew at least some of the facts, and yet encouraged him to run for POTUS. I can empathize that she would want to keep her family together and consider the well-being of her children, but to feed her husband's ego at the risk of so much, is not a judgment that I can respect.

Oh Dawn, I often read your posts because you tend to mix the pot...Not always a bad thing but do you really believe most women don't know when an affair is going on? They do, they just don't want a change of lifestyle.

My next point is that the Enquirer is just a waste of perfectly good ink & paper. Think of the poor trees!
