Okay...it's not an update (I know I promised...but it's been a busy day). But I hope this will hold you over:

Third, I have a VERY good friend here on the DIS and one of the first ones that I talked to outside of the DIS. His daughter was my first "adopted DIS grandchild" or whatever name you want to give it. Today, Princess Juliana (daughter of that's nice here on the DIS), had her five year scans for her cancer. Tim and Mel's little Princess is cancer free. So please let out a WOOT WOOT or a WOO HOO or something to celebrate this wonderful news.

First and foremost......a big CONGRATS!!! to Princess Juliana!!! That is fantastic news for her & her family!!

And now I'll give you a for only 19 more days!!! You must be getting excited! We're finally down to a month come tomorrow. I can't wait!

I'm sending you a PM about the postcard. Reid still has his from last year on his dresser & uses it constantly when playing vacation. Shows just how big & warm your heart is to do this for the children of DISers.

Kathy, sorry I haven't been around much lately. Work hours and life have been insane, but hopefully will slow up soon at least for a little while. I wasn't completely absent as I was able to keep up at least using the DIS app on my phone, but it is too much of a pain to try and do replies that way, especially trying to multi-quote. Just know you are never far from my thoughts and love, even though it may seem that way at times........

In the meantime, it is hard to believe that four years ago today, I lost the first man I ever loved...my Dad. And I remember all the great support I got from my friends here on the DIS.

It is really hard to believe how time can pass so quickly, and the memories we still hold so precious about those near and dear to us! It is hard to believe it has already been two years since my Mom passed away. Please know I was and am sending out hugs to you during the good times, and the sad times too!

Well, you ARE standing beside Dan, so you can't look too bad...........

I brought the kids "Mickey Chicago shirts" and Parker insisted on putting his on as they were leaving the park to head to the Zoo.

well since i dont have any PreTR or TR's going i thought i would share the rest of the pics from yesterday. (I hope you dont mind Kathy)

You need to get on the ball and get another trip in the works so you can fix that..............

she wasnt too sure about her yet, but did go over and give her a smile.

I'm guessing a common reaction when meeting Kathy for the first time..................

while kathy and i chatted about her upcoming trip and this and that...the kids went and played a little more, (relax marv that is candis bikini top under her outfit...i know you would go there.)

noelles face in that last one cracks me up...like you arent impressing me parker with your running around.

Now that is pretty funny!!!

parker realized that he could jump in the water and get the bottom of kathys feet wet...notice her hands on her hips and the look she gave him (again sorry about that)

I'm betting a look Mark is very familiar with...........

but not before noelle warmed up to her and let her hold her.
she must have liked you as she normally trys to push away from people holding her unless she is really comfy with them.

at first when she walked over to kathy to pick her up she said ohh all get wet sweetie, but then said ahh what the heck and picked her up anyway...i guess it was Noelle's charm that won out.

I do love meeting all these wonderful DIS people.

Hey...the tickets weren't cheap; yes, he'll probably pay a little more for dinner, but I didn't charge him for the additional person of Des being in our room so it all evens out.

That is so sweet of you to host their Engagement Party! But man....you are going to be one busy lady (well, more than you already are )! The invitations are super cute!!

All I know is that I'll need a vacation after my vacation and this engagement party. Went to price tables and chairs last night.

And a great help to those that will not make the wedding. Living in rural ME, we often have to drive hours to get anywhere, but people that aren't used to that will be so grateful for this party you are giving. Yay! to the happy couple!

They bought each other the Simba/Nala to sleep with when the other one is away...young love...so sweet.

I think the party will be fun and I'm happy to do it for them (just wish they had picked a different date ).

They are really enjoying it. The only issue they've had thus far is there is NO outlet in the bathroom. Her grandpa is going to come over and put one in so Alisha can stop doing her hair in the bedroom.

It's a sweet little home. I love how she had Simba and Nala set up. Yesterday, they went and bought another fish for their fish tank. She sent me a text message to tell me they got a "Mickey Mouse" fish just for me. I asked, "did you name it Mickey?" And she said, "no, that's the kind of fish it was." Can't wait to see this fish (if the cat doesn't knock over the tank first ).
