I hesistated reading your latest post because I can't see your pictures right now. But even without pictures, a DIS meet is certainly something to celebrate.

Be back later to see the photographic evidence because you know what they say here on the DIS, "If you don't have a picture........" Oh never mind, you already knew that.

MEK, you must come back...the kids are too cute to miss. And I always remember to take a picture for proof.

Okay, I am finally caught up on everyone's threads, I've done my responses. I'm now headed home and then Mark and I have to go grocery shopping and get some stuff together from the house to pack in the car for our trip to Dubuque tomorrow. I will try to come back later with an update on my PTR and some new information on our December trip.

I'm working on an update if Photobucket will stop freezing on me.

In the meantime, I agreed to have an Engagement Party for the kids. We figured since the wedding is in Dubuque, Iowa, and is a 3+ hour drive from us, that some of the people in the Chicago area may not be able to make the wedding.

So we will have the party here. The only thing I don't like is the date! We will be in Florida/traveling three Saturdays -- September 15, 22 and 29. The party is October 6. We couldn't push it to the 13th because we have the high school wrestling alumni dinner that night and then Mark's high school in Dubuque starts wrestling so we had no choice. I have no idea when I'll get the house clean, but as I told my Grump, I'll do anything for my kids.

Here's the invite I ordered and which arrived yesterday (ordered it Sunday night online and had it by Thursday...not bad):

****I give up with Photobucket tonight. I'll do an update, probably Monday. We're off tomorrow at 11:30 to see Mark's mom and then directly to Dubuque until Sunday night.

So as I mentioned in my previous post, I had a surprise I was sneaking out of the office for (so those replies to all your posts will take a little longer because I do have to work for a living ).
...

I met Dan and the family over at the Milennium Park where the kids were having a blast in the Spitting Fountain. As any good DISer knows, if there is no picture, it didn't happen.

I'm so glad I was able to catch up this morning and see these fantastic photos. Looks like a fun way to spend a "coffee break" Kathy! Dan - your family is beautiful. thanks for posting your meet photos !

I am working on the replies and an update for our trip which is in just 19 days!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

In the meantime, we spent the weekend with the kids at their new home; here are a few pictures I thought I'd share with you.

The house looks great! And I love the kissing Simba/Nala stuffies Your invitation is gorgeous....they are so lucky to have you do that for them. And a great help to those that will not make the wedding. Living in rural ME, we often have to drive hours to get anywhere, but people that aren't used to that will be so grateful for this party you are giving. Yay! to the happy couple!
