Maddy wanted to go to the petting zoo at AK today, so we went over after lunch. We arrived at 12:30 and the park was PACKED! Wait times for most of the attractions were 50 minutes plus. A good chunk of the fast passes had already been given out for the day.
We went over to Rafiki's Planet Watch and I had to play stroller commando after some snotty 10 year old kid literally pushed the stroller that my daughter was sitting in and snarled, "HEY I'M WALKING HERE." Ummm...I was REALLY far away from him and I have no idea why he did that. I ended up pushing up through his family just to get away from him. Sheesh!
The animals were a little...uhh...frisky today. The donkeys were attempting to ummm...."get it on". Of course, the adults were giggling and trying to convince the kids they were just hugging. We had one big goat following us around for awhile, and Maddy got the biggest kick out of petting it's back...it made it's tail wiggle.
She went to pet another goat, and it stood up and pooped and peed in front of her. She wasn't exactly thrilled. She screamed out, "EW! THAT'S DISGUSTING! Going poo-poo here! Go use the potty you bad goat!!" That got a few laughs
We walked around for a bit and got some ice cream and water, then headed home. It is REALLY REALLY warm out this weekend, so anyone travelling down soon...PLEASE! Remember to drink lots of water!
Also, please remember not to stop dead in the center of the walkway if you're lost and need to look at the map. Kindly move over to the side of the walkway. I saw WAY too many people get stampeded into today.
Oddest thing I saw today: a family of 7 with ALL of their luggage (I'm not kidding...I have no clue why AK let them bring in 8 or 9 suitcases of things) walking around. I ran into them 3 or 4 times, and each time they were screaming at each other. The last time I ran into them was on the train back from the Planet Watch...I guess they had just arrived in Orlando and their room wasn't ready yet at AKL. So, rather than leave the bags there, they dragged them with them to the park via taxi. The dad was all stressed because they had a 6:15 reservation at the Crystal Palace, the mom was stressed because she wanted to take a shower, and the kids were freaking out because they weren't riding anything...just "killing time".
It's a vacation guys...have fun!!
May go to MK tonight for fireworks...any questions, feel free to ask
