nude beach! Ahhh -- Ive created a monster
but at least he's asking about our Nov 30th cruise - lol

(now there's a good reason to loose 40lbs)

Ok, I've missed something. What Nude Beach????

I don't remember seeing anything on this on the boards, the excursion list, or anything I've read in other cruise books. BUt then again we're going Western - is this Eastern?

I don't want DH to find out! He'll want to go too!

Don't tell my DH!!! He's always talked about going to one - but we ALWAYS run into someone we know when we are on vacation. A nude beach is the LAST place I want to see somebody I know from home:earseek:

We went to Orient Beach last year (Eastern), because my husband is the same as yours! However, from what I hear the far end is completely nude, didn't go there. We went further up the beach where clothing is optional. We both had our suits on, plus the kids. We just saw enough for the experience of seeing how other people live and to say we were there. The kids did not even seem to notice, 6 and 7. Saw maybe 5 or 6 topless. Funny part was my husband kept giving me the camera to take pictures! It was a beautiful beach and a fun afternoon.

We just returned from the Magic eastern cruise. We went to Orient beach. The side that is clothing opt. is not as nice as the other side. We found broken beer bottles in the surf and lots of seaweed. So we decided to go to the other side. It is totally nude, male and female. We had on suits as did others from the cruise. My kids are 4 and 8 and they noticed. It was impossible not to. We returned to the other side since they couldn't stop laughing:p

Keep in mind very few are under the age of 50.

Nudity is allowed on the French side of Saint Martin and also occurs on a few of the beaches of the Dutch side of Sint Maarten. It is outlawed at all other destinations on the Eastern itinerary and at all destinations on the Western itinerary (although you may spot the occasional topless European tourist).

For DCL passengers who are intrigued by the idea of skinny-dipping on a public beach but are worried about making a spectacle of themselves in front of their fellow cruise passengers, there are other options at St Martin where you can be more discreet. Check out this link and this link for beach profiles.

Interesting remark about the over 50 gang. While I don't intend to run around a nude beach I don't intend to hide under a barrel either!

Nude beach???

I guess that gives a whole new meaning to the "Sea and See Tour "

Or, as we call it around my home, the Sea and See and Double D Tour!

This is randytenn's wife and I've already told him I'm going to bring a blindfold for him while we're on St. Martin. ;)

Tee hee

If you take this Disney excursion, do you get exposed to nudity?

Yes, the excursion list for St Maaten has an asterisk next to excursions where it is possible you may see naked people or topless women.

Not to argue, but the excursion list does not show an asterisk by this excursion, and it doesn't mention Orient beach?

Kimtenn,

Actually, you should let him watch. It'll show him how luck he is. We've been to Orient Beach twice (before & with kids). Both times, nearly all nudities we saw were aging and out-of-shape elderlies (imaging wrinkled skins, discolored blotches, rings of drooping "love handles". varicose veins...) For some of them, I almost broke out laughing. :jester: :jester:

If randytenn is looking for Double D, he'll probably find them hanging down around their hips. ;) ;)

As for the beach, it was gorgeous (at least it was when we were there). There wasn't any sea weeds. The fine white sand was clean and soft. The surf was calm. Orient Beach is one of my DW's favorite.
