SOOOOOOOOOOO FUNNY!!!! and thanks to CathrynRose's many informative links to information on Scientology (as sickening as they were to read) I was able to really enjoy the episode. It was all true! That is what they believe!!!!!!!!!!! I don't think I would have found it as funny if I hadn't already read up on how scary the cult is. Tom Cruise and John Travolta in the closet together was hilarious!!!

I am just shocked that Tom being an all powerful Thetan or OT was not able to stop the show since "he can do anything he desires and is in a God like state." Wow go figure.

I have been reading this thread all along -

tonight I showed DH the picture and he right away said - "UH - that's a doll!"

trust me - if they can't fool my DH...they aren't fooling anyone

Does anyone else have a Dianetics cart in their mall? My mall has one and there always seems to be at least one person talking to them! Tonight he pretty aggressively came after me and DD4 - I just ignored him but I was so tempted to ask him if I joined if I could see baby Suri!!!!

If they are ever that aggressive with me at the mall again - I am going to complain to mall managment - I do not believe they should allow an organization in the mall that is believed to have cult like characteristics and is recruiting new members - especially when so many teenagers go to the mall alone!

Sorry, but at this point, I'd rather see the South Park episode!!!! Right now, I could care less what that kid looks like!!! It's been too long waiting to see her. I hate to say it, but while I haven't lost interest in this thread, I am almost ready to say that I have no interest in who/what the kid looks like. At age 3 months, I don't care!!!! It's been too long, Tommy -- you blew the window of opportunity!!!!!!!!

Thats true, by the time a picture finally does surface no one will care! Plus we'll all just figure they finally found a baby the right age and size with the right coloring too.

Its true that she said it. I don't think it's true that it actually happened. I think she went to their house for a dose of Kool-Aid and they told her to say "Suri's great!, Everything's fine! Katie's beautiful!"

Search "Scientology Sued" and you'll come up with hoades.... (you know - how in the heck can a tax-exempt, non-for-profit organization be filing lawsuits like this?!?!? Why is it allowed?)

I am going to have to look next time I'm there..........I think I remember seeing a Dianetics cart, and my husband telling me it was Scientology, but I didn't know anything about it then, so it didn't upset me that much. I'll have to see if they are still there.....Even when I didn't know anything about it - I would have still thought it was freakish.

I think the next time I go, I will print out some information about it being a cult and info on how to seek help in escaping a cult and hand it to the brainwashed person working there.

Funny you should mention this ... back on pg. 32 (!) I posted the following incident at our local mall ...

So, yesterday, DS9 and I go to the mall. In the mall, they have this Scientology kiosk set up. Gobs of L.Ron Hubbard Dianetics books, pamphlets, etc. I walk by (as it's near the Gap and that's where I was going) and the guy there says "Would you like a stress test?" and I reply "And, what, it's a thousand dollars to do it, right? Do I look like I have millions of dollars?" and he says "What does that mean?" and I said "Come on, you people charge a fortune to belong to your so-called religion! Do I look like Tom Cruise?" and DS9 says "Yeah, when are we gonna see Suri?" (Snaps to DS on his part -- he knows my Suri obsession!)

The guy was totally speechless ... but I read that Scientology article! I prob. should've kept my mouth shut and walked by, but I couldn't resist!!!!! DS and I just laughed about it!!!
