my brother had a big snake house....can't remember what it is called....and we would hold the snakes while he would be fixing up their beds....NOW if the pet of the classroom had a long tail and was a small little critter......HECK NOT.....I hate mice
Serena,
I know you have the boas but I am a HUGE weinie and I don't care if the snake is only 1 inch long!! I even scream at the plastic ones. This morning I went to grab some socks from under my son's futon and out popped one of those Native American wooden snakes and I thought I was going to croak on the spot!!
Eight years ago, when my DD was in 3rd grade - the class pet was a hamster. We had the little darling for a weekend. The next weekend was DD's friend's turn. She (the friend) was sitting on the living room floor, holding the hamster in her hand and her dog (a daschund) came up and gulp! ate in out of her hand!! The poor grandma was mortified and hurried out the next day to buy a replacement! The girl was understandably shell-shocked!!
The teacher was bummed because she didn't want a replacement... Hamster #2 lasted several more months until another of DD's friend's turn came up! Hamster #2 escaped and went down a hea register. The teacher insisted that there not be a Hamster #3!!
