I posted once before about this, asking about Terra Verde, but just a quick explanation - right now, we're booked at the Dolphin, but DH & I usually like a little privacy on our vacations but privacy on site is pricey. A family friend mentioned that she offers "friends & family" rates for her vacation rentals in Kissimmee. I checked out her website, which lists 2 properties in Terra Verde. However, after speaking with her on the phone I learned she also has a 3 bedroom in Windsor Hills and a 3 bedroom in Windsor Palms available (and that her website is really outdated and she wants me to give her a quote on revamping & updating it - this is the first time travel planning has ever led to a job opportunity for me! :rotfl: ).

So given the choice and comparable pricing, which would you choose and why?

I've only stayed at WH but really like the resort. We had two different townhouses and liked having the splash pool available so that we didn't have to go to the main pool when you're tired from a day out. The other two resorts look nice too. WH is the closest to Disney but we're probably only talking about 5-10 min difference between the other two. We had looked at TV also but chose WH instead. Chose WH over WP just because it was newer and I liked the pool area. You probably will like which ever one you choose.

Personally I would choose either WP or WH over TV. TV is in an area that I do not enjoy traveling unless I need to.

We stayed at WP the frist one in may for 8 days. there where 6 people. we had a 3 bedroom condo. The place was very nice and had the feel of home. I would stay there again! :wizard:

I would go for Windsor Palms or WH. Closer to the attractions, closer to dining/supermarkets etc.

As far as a choice between WP or WH, I would find a home that you like and that meets your needs. We find we spend very little time at the communal facilities so the extra facilites at WH over WP doesn't really bother me. Both resorts are nice and have nice condos/townhomes etc.

WP I believe is smaller in terms of the number of units. It is a bit further away from Disney than WH, but in reality the extra drive is like a minute!

WH tends to be more expensive on the whole because the homes were more $$ and the association fees are more.

At the end of the day, find a home that you like - you can't really go wrong with any of the communities mentioned.

Terre Verde is a bit too far out for my tastes. The other two are both inside my radius, so at that point I'd go with the house that was the better fit for me, considering all factors---price, features, etc.

I agree, go with the house in WH or WP. I wanted to say in WH this trip but it is impossible to find something on late notice. And it is more expensive. I think you would be happy with either community.

Just got back from a week at WP and loved it, WH looks nice too.

We stayed at WP 2 yrs ago for our Thanksgiving Trip and have to say it was lovely :) we were very happy w/everything including the staff. Everything was neat and clean. I would definitely stay at WP again in a heartbeat! Definitely recommend it to everyone :thumbsup2

I feel Terra Verde is a MUCH better location to reach all parks. There is also more available on the east end of 192.
