Yeah, it is the gamecube game.

The game did it again yesterday and today. I am just getting of work. I am going to call and see what they say. If they can't help, I will have to take it back and exchange it. I hope they have some!

Also!!! Konami Has announced Dance Dance Revolution: Hottest Party! You will use a dance pad and the wii mote to make DDR more interactive then ever! The pads will plug in through the cube ports, and in fact you will be able to use the DDR Mario padsfor the wii game! so you can save some cash if you already have it!
It will include a fitness(weight loss) mode for those that wanna use it as excersise.

My DD14 is sorely disappointed in the Mario version. She has no interest in video games but LOVES DDR. She says the Mario one isn't really DDR. She's played it but not too much. DS11 who LOVES video games and all the characters actually plays this more than she does although it was bought for her.

Anyway, point of the story, if it's a "real" DDR game DD will be very pleased so I'd love to get some more info.

YEs it is a 100% true DDR game! It sounds like your DD wanted more of a challange then mario can give her...this should do it.

That said tell her to try playing DDR Mario on the hardest setting((if your son completees ths game all the songs will be unlocked)) She may also not enjoy the DDRmario since the tunes aren't pop style songs they are mostly based on videogames songs.

Between the two of them they've beaten the game several times. On a few different difficulty levels.

You're right she doesn't enjoy the music or the koopas and the whole mario theme....she wants the traditional ddr theme.

Is anyone Buying it??? After doing some searching I have decided to hold off as I want sonic and SSX Blur which both release next month and I only have so much Gameing $ to go around.

Just curious. IF anyone gets it let us know if it's any good and if it's worth the $50 ($40 for the wiimote in it and $10 for the game)

We're buying wiiplay. Hubby is bringing it home when he comes home from work. We were planning on buying another wii-mote, so it seemed like a good buy for us. I'll let you know if it's fun!

hi - i actually got mine yesterday at target - it is fun - you only need the nunchuck for 1 of the games on it ,,,,we needed a remote anyway, and couldnt find a regular one, so this worked fine for us,,,,,like i wouldnt pay 49.99 for it if it didnt include the remote,,,,,,,but its kinda fun...

I picked up my copy yesterday at Best Buy. I bought it since I couldn't find another Wii-mote anywhere and I've had my Wii since Christmas. The laser hockey and ping pong gamer are pretty fun, but some of the other ones I could do without. If it didn't come with the Wii-mote I don't think I would have picked it up, I would have waited to spend my $$ on other games.

I am sure someone has asked in the past 17 pages, but if we're hooked up to the internet, is there a way to play with others online?

Did anyone ever pick up the Golf game (not the one that came with it) and what did you think of it? We've had it since Christmas and I think it stinks... maybe there is something I am missing? It is much harder then the one that came with the system.

Are there any other stand alone sports games worth picking up? Any games period that have come out since Christmas? I haven't been keeping up with games coming out.

What other games are there on WII "live" or whatever that is where you can download the games to your system, any rumor on what games are coming out?

My nephews took my Rayman game and it seems like my son told me they took some of our other games. Are any AS fun as the WII sports that came with the system?

Dh preordered wii play, so we picked it up today and they are enjoying it right no. Its a 2 player game, Iwas a little disapointed in that. But they seem to like it. and we are even now we have 3 nunchucks and 3 wiimotes.

It's comming but not here yet...wait a little longer, once Smash Bros, pokmeon and the likes start comming out we'll be able to play against eachother.

Haven't played it heard mixed things about it. Some like it some don't due to the fact it isn't as pick up and play friendly.
Tiger Woods Golf from Ea Sports is due soon (April I think) It will cover many more nuences(sp?) then the golf game out now. TW will be much closer to real golf.

Madden 07 is a must if your a football fan!(I love this game!!) You need to know a little about the sport to get the full experience out of it though. As I stated above Tiger woods is on it's way...as is Fight Night boxing(no date) SSX Blur(Snowboarding) in March, Maio Strikers Soccer(summer sometime) there are others in the works like a NBA game (next fall), a Basball game I do believe for this summer.

The Wii virtual Consoul (I know it's spelled wrong but im not gonna cut and paste into spell check at 1:00am in the morning) There are a ton of games on it as we speak...Nintendo adds 3+games every monday. I don't have a list handy, but this weeks new additions are...Kid Icarus, Kirby, and1 other game i can't remember right now...that said Kid IC and Teh Original Kirby are must downloads if you have never played them back on the original NES.

As for Rumored Future releases....off the top of my head...we will see all the old marios and old zeldas at some point. Rumored old school Mega Man....ahhh I'm not thinking strait. I promise I'll get you a list of some rumored VC games...as for whats there just log on and check it it's much easier then a list and you can see what they look like that way.

New channel and Update!!!

Nintendo has released a new channel for the Wii today. Seemingly out of nowhere the "Everybody Votes Channel" is now available via the Wii Ware section of the Wii Shop. A new system update is also available (brining your Wii to v2.0U) and required to enable the new channel. The channel opens with a description stating:


Welcome to the Everybody Votes Channel. Here, you can provide your responses to popular questions and let your opinion be heard around your area, and even around the world!



Upon setting everything up, you can register up to six Miis as "voters". These voters can then answer poll questions such as "Which do you think is a more romantic Valentine's Day gift? Chocolate or Roses?" Voting is accomplished by dragging the Miis to different sides of your screen, each representing a different answer. You can also predict which answer you think will get more overall votes.

Polls are only open for a certain amount of time, and the channel says that results will be sent out after the poll closes. The three currently active polls expire in 1, 3, and 6 days respectively. Polls are available nationally and globally, though questions differ between the two. Additionally, users can suggest questions.

Voter stats are recorded in the following categories: Number of Votes Cast, Prediction Record, Prediction Accuracy, "How Tuned in Are You?", and "Distance from Popular Opinion".

Of course, everything is set to up-beat background music.

It's ice climbers... my son wants to check it out as he never played ice climbers, only saw the characters on super smash brothers. I don't know what Kid Icarus is and neither does my son buut I'm sure he'll check that one out too. Kirby is a must for sure!

Kid Icarius is a classic game...think of it as a mario style adventure where you are a character named pit(aka Kid Icarius)(looks like cupid) and you battle the evil eggplant king(yes it's silly) .

It was a game that was huge at the time and for some reason NINTENDO has not brought back the character until now!!! PIT will be a playable character in the new Smash Bros. for the Wii!...now where was that picture....

I need to update my Wii today for the new channel...I love snow days!

Our wii was bundled with excite truck and I was thinking of getting my son Cars for his birthday but can you tell me how similar the games might be? Maybe these 2 are too alike to own both?

He really likes sport games but we already have Madden 07 for GC and I would rather wait for the new one than buy the same titled game. Where do you find out what games are coming out?

Tye Dye 2 sights to check out...nintendo.com has a release list of it's own.

Madden games ALWAYS release in AUG((mid month i think)). so 08 should be out then.

A site with great reviews and good info on games is IGN.com. Head there to get a review about Cars. I have heard it's a good game for kids. have not played it myself however. maybe someone on this thread has or has a kid who has and can tell you more.
