Hi, yes, that's exactly what it means.. if it says cross train, then you don't run that day -- you don't want to overdue it! Doing each week 2x i am sure wouldn't hurt -- until mabye you get to the long days -- but then again, i am not a full runner - so i can't really help there.
I plan on starting my 14 week plan right after Thanksgiving, for now, i am just trying to keep active every week and logging at least 10 miles a week - walk/run, until i start my training.
You are right--I don't want to tire myself out. I guess I am just worried that 14 weeks won't be enough time for me. I am worried that if I can't do my long run one week, it will throw off my training. Have you ever had weeks where you couldn't fit in your long run due to unforeseen circumstance? Did you ever have to switch your long run day?
