***Official*** Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge Information Thread *** Contains SPOILERS ***

So I’m just thinking out loud but if nothing changes I’m not sure the extra extra magic hours will be extended. Obviously crowds might be a little lower right now with the pending hurricane but I don’t think the crowds are that huge anyways.
Do you think Disney could possibly roll the Extra EMH back prior to 11/2 if there is no demand? I am really hoping to get into SWGE early towards the end of October.

They could and honestly I would’ve be shocked if they do.

They can do whatever they want but this would be unprecedented. We're not talking about only one parks operations but 3 and an every day occurrence. I would be shocked if they did as it would create a huge negative backlash.
But Disney has shocked me before so...
Fingers crossed it stays as is!

Crowds were very light today. We had zero wait at Docking Bay 7 at noon. Very short wait at Savi's with no reservation (fun experience). Other parts of the park were dead. Walked on to TSMM and Star Tours with zero wait. 10 min at TOT, although they had some tech problems in the afternoon. Less than 10 min standby line on RNR.

Come later Sept and Oct when we start getting into fall break season, convention season, etc, I predict we will have forgotten the relatively low attendance at the EMHs we’re seeing here at the beginning. Labor Day and the first weeks of Sept are among the lowest crowds of the year, even with SWGE. We used to travel this time of year before we had to live with the school calendar. I miss those days!

For now, I’m loving the setup though. Finally four parks with major draws and new offerings (I’ll include Epcot for Food and Wine even with the pending construction mess).... early openings which are incredibly effective at spreading people around throughout the day. The result should be better touring conditions for everyone and I hope it continues to work.

Just my ramblings.... for the moment! :-)

Just a heads up there's no place under the standing tables at all. Only under the sit down tables

Oh, that's fine. It was more a general "it doesn't matter if he can't see the top of the table" thought than an actual plan. Are they solid cylinders, or something like that?

Maybe I'm overthinking this but I am sure I am not alone :drinking:

Ok, so let's say for argument sake, MF wait has been around 90 minutes even at land capacity. Now let's zoom ahead in time to December 5th, RoTR opens. Unless, they increase land capacity (can they do that?), I would expect the lines at MF to drop significantly and RoTR wait to be "not so bad" (after the initial onslaught). I wouldn't expect the "ride" lines to be split 50/50 but unless they increase land capacity somethings got to give. Right?

Maybe my real question should be: What does capacity mean? Is it a soft limit imposed by Disney to enhance guest experience or is it a hard limit required for safety?

Capacity increases once the ride opens as they can count the queue for ROTR in the capacity. Plus more of the resistance forest will be open.

Trying to book 180+stay GE WDW reservations, got Oga’s for 180+7 but neither droids or Savi’s is showing as available after February 29. Not that it’s all booked up, but that all March dates remain unavailable for bookings.

Has anyone else had this problem?

These aren’t Dining Reservations with booking windows that are tied to your onsite stay.

The window is 180 days with no ‘+’ involved.

Now see, I thought that too. But we were able to book 180+2 for droid depot and Savi’s. And can book any day to the end of February (180 from today is Feb. 27, and the 28/29 are showing available and can be booked). It’s just the March dates that are messed up.

Are the purchase rules in effect at Dok Ondar's in WDW? I know they put rules into effect as to extras you could buy as far as scrap metal and kyber crystals at DL. Just curios if that's in effect at WDW... Trying to figure out how bad it's going to hurt my wallet lol..

Yes everything is one per person. No scrap metal yet (least on the 29th) so you can buy 1 of all 6 colors of crystals but not 2 red or 2 blue. If you have 2 people in your party you can buy 2 of each in one transaction etc.

Is anyone there today for the first Extra extra magic hours? If so, can you please share how crowds are? We’ll be down next weekend and I’m wondering how early we should get there and what the waits for MFSR are like during the extra hours. Thanks!

They aren't dining reservations but they do seemed tied to reservations / get the "+" - I was able to book the Droid dept at 183 days out

Disney send me my message about my magic bands being ready for to pick up at the desk for my stay. So it is getting closer. I have res for Savi and Droid Depot. And I plan to do EMh do you guys think it is good idea to head to MSFR. I have a res for Oga another day.

Hard to judge since many people have cancelled their trips over the hurricane, but from the looks of it the highest wait time was the first hour of EEMH since everyone is running to do MFSR first (posted wait time at 6:40 was 2 hours). Around 8a it was down to about 70-90 minutes.

I'm beginning to think I will be hitting TSL first during EEMH while everyone else rides MFSR and then go over there for a (hopefully) shorter wait. Still too early to tell though, especially with the hurricane factor.

I know I’m heading right for MFSR when we do EEMH.

We were there at 8. Posted wait time was 80 but it was 45. I wouldn’t judge this weekend’s crowds for next weekend. Lines are low everywhere because of the impending storm.
