I haven't had the courage to try green :D the color is just not appetizing to me, and since it's not cheap I will probably do blue again, stick with what you know sort of thing. But if I ever go with someone that gets the green I'll try it
We had both the blue and green on our AP preview day.....since we've been back we have had the non-alcoholic blue milk twice. We both really enjoy it, the green, not so much.

I'm sure the hurricane has kept people at bay. It isnt looking too good here on tuesday/Wednesday so we are getting as much done as we can now. Savis was AMAZING and I may have had a tear or two. Our droids are sitting in their bags right now. Since we'll probably be held up in our room over the next couple of days it'll be good to have something to play with!

Yes everything is one per person. No scrap metal yet (least on the 29th) so you can buy 1 of all 6 colors of crystals but not 2 red or 2 blue. If you have 2 people in your party you can buy 2 of each in one transaction etc.
I'm excited you can buy each color (if they have them). Kind of bummed about scrap metal, but will get over it

They aren't dining reservations but they do seemed tied to reservations / get the "+" - I was able to book the Droid dept at 183 days out
I called today because I was trying to book Savi's and March is greyed out on the calendar. My "+" February days were there though. CM said she wasn't sure why, but you can't book over the phone, so was told to keep trying...

Thank you so much for replying - glad to know it’s not just our account. My + March days are also greyed out, and we got the same answer when we called.

Good luck booking your experiences!

I’m back from Batuu! I’m thumb typing, & know there’s a separate thread for visit tales, so I’ll try to just hit some highlights...

I drove to DHS opening day around 2:30am and was in Batuu about 4:30am - only MFSR open & CM estimated 5hr wait. Path to marketplace opened shortly after so I bailed on the ride and wandered around Batuu until 10am. It was breathtaking! Really just everything this SW geek hoped for: instantly recognizable as part of the SW universe, yet new and begging to be explored. Lines were crazy: 2 hours for Dok-Ondar’s, 1hr for milk. Only a short wait for Docking Bay at 6am though lol! Had the Youngling bfast - quite yummy. “Black Caff” was sadly the same sad brown water Disney passes off as coffee. I had a 9am at Oga’s- enjoyed the Tarine Tea, which was very refreshing and light in the heat, and Lava Roll, which was better than expected.

GE was closed so I joined a boarding party with an estimated return time of “afternoon” before crashing in my room for a few hours. Boarding group worked flawlessly - no MDE issues at all!

I returned to GE around 3pm & it was open: didn’t need to use the VQ after all. My priority was MFSR so I got in line with a posted wait of 130mins, which dropped to 110 minutes after I got in line. It wound up being just shy of 2hrs... I was happy to have waited but wouldn’t ever do that again! I later rode single rider a few times in a row with no more than a couple minutes wait. I know the ride’s been roasted in reviews, and I’ll agree it’s not that spectacular as far as technology goes... BUT YOU’RE ON THE FALCON!!! That alone is enough to please me :)

I had another Oga’s ADR in the evening & enjoyed the second visit more - much more lively crowd than morning (go figure lol), and it was so fun to sing along and enjoy the rowdy atmosphere! Jedi Mind Trick was great & White Wampa Ale was delicious. I tried the green milk w/ tequila - CM pouring did pour booze first, the topped w/ milk so I was able to taste milk on its own off the top then mix the tequila on... I really liked it both ways! Light, refreshing, a little citrus-y. Went back to Docking Bay for dinner & had the Felucian Garden Spread, which was good.

I went back to GE the next afternoon and stayed until almost close. Tried blue milk & liked it, too (no booze that time), got a couple of the Magic pics, walked into Dok-Ondar’s with no wait, and rode SR single rider a bunch of times. I tried using the data pad a bit, but my phone battery was running low and I was too distracted taking it all in. I know I’ll be back to play more!

Overall I think Disney nailed it. The interactions I had - SO many!! - with CMs on character really made the experience. Hearing their backstories, meeting Vi and sharing some “intel” with her, interacting with Troopers, trying to explain what a “Disney” is to a Batuuan... it all just made for something incredibly special. I do hope WDW supports the CMs so they can keep this high level up.

Thanks for the report. Can you let me know what jobs you got on the ride, as someone who will also be solo I'm curious.

I was only ever engineer or gunner, never pilot. Which was fine - I was perfectly happy in both roles! Doing single rider line I don’t think you’d ever be assigned pilot because you’ll be filling an empty seat. But going solo in the regular queue you’d have just as much chance as anyone.

Can you ask to be a pilot?

I rode solo through the regular line. I was #4 in our group and was handed gunner but was able to trade for left pilot thanks to a kind person who apparently didn’t really care what position they had. :D I watched as the cm gave the cards to the group in front of me and she did not give them the top 3.

I agree with others that as pilot, I wasn’t really able to take in the flight too much as I was so busy flying. But...I was flying so it was ok! :D But I don’t want to be pilot every time.

It really stinks you don’t get more than about 45 seconds to wander around the lounge. The best part of the whole queue and you’re rushed through...that’s very poor planning on Disneys part. I didn’t even have a chance to sit at the table as other people were.

You can ask but the answer will likely always be no. You’re better off asking to trade with the person assigned pilot.

Childs birthday, gonna have to ask. There is 3 of us though so the chances should be good.

Is anyone there today for the first Extra extra magic hours? If so, can you please share how crowds are? We’ll be down next weekend and I’m wondering how early we should get there and what the waits for MFSR are like during the extra hours. Thanks!
We were there for the first EEMH yesterday and then for the second today. On the first day of EEMH we arrived at 4:50 am (walked over from Yacht Club at 4:30). The crowds were surprisingly light with only about two people ahead of us at the security check where we were initially held til 5-ish. We were then let into the park and held on Hollywood Blvd until 6 am. Today was the same procedure except we arrived a little later (5:15 am). Crowds were equally light. We pretty much walked on MFSR both days but waits swelled in the first hour to 90 mins-ish. The wait time decreased with the shortest wait time being a little after 8 am on both days. Today it was 30-35 mins then. After 9 am the wait swelled again. Oga’s was taking walk ups both days during EEMH.

Cast has been told not to grant requests so the chances are slim birthday or not. Like you said though you have a good chance getting at least one pilot with three in your party.
We rode three times in the last two days and they were absolutely letting people ask to be pilot. We were also a party of three who got gunners and engineers twice and were put with people who asked for pilot. We were frustrated and asked for pilot the third time we rode and they granted the request. I personally don’t think they should let people ask because then you will never stand a chance of getting it if you don’t ask.

It is at the discretion of the CM. You might be granted the request and you might not, the cm have been told not to grant it to keep this type of scenario from happening

DHS will be closing tomorrow at 3pm. If you have a reservation for Oga's, Savi's or Droid Depot no need to call and cancel, they will waive the no show fee, or you can cancel online

They've never told me no before. We always say we are willing to wait. Heres hoping.
