It was ridiculously expensive - $225 adults, $210 kids - for character M&Gs, a DJ and dinner, no matter how “exclusive” and “themed.” I think that DVC management may have learned that even DVC members have their limits!

Frankly, it's so refreshing to see them overshoot on price like this and see people soundly reject it. I do enjoy some upcharge events and we're not DVC so this wasn't an option for us, but there's no way it was worth that amount of money.

each time I see sets of these pictures I think "wow, they've done a lot but there is still so much left to do" I love how they placed the Falcon ealy and it's just there collecting dirt, which will make it look even cooler

WOW!!!! I'm very surprised at this. There's going to be a lot of disappointed people canceling tours today. I wonder if this will trickle to WDW too

Wow, interesting. This actually surprises me. Didn't Pete say on the Tuesday Podcast after they announced the opening date that he had a VIP tour booked for opening day at both DL and WDW? If so, I assume he'll cancel them?

Yes several people have booked VIP tours around the opening.

Yes, but I also believe he had booked hotel reservations at a Disney hotel to guarantee access to the land.
Now if someone has a VIP tour + a hotel reservation- I wonder if they will allow you to VIP tour in GE? Let’s face it - if you can afford the VIP tour- a hotel reservation isn’t exactly unaffordable for you.

Someone on Facebook posted that their tour guide recommended not planning their galaxy’s edge reservation for the same day as their VIP tour, so I’m guessing no.

ill get clarification later, but when I booked my vip tour, they did mention that everyone in the group may need a reservation, so the guide can take us into GE. So if we all have the same reserved day/timeslot AND a VIP tour, then I think they'll do it. ill let you all know here once i get a definitive answer on that.
