I am also staying at the GF but leaving a few days before you arrive. It is our 1st stay there and I can't wait also. Have you ever stayed there? I know your children are so excited also!!! It sounds like on the 27th itself from the article. Looks like it goes live that day on MDE, ShopDisney, and in Parks.

Its also not going to be as expensive as originally thought. I had read pricing was around $50 at some point, but it looks like $35 with discounts for ordering before your trip on MDE.

If you’re planning to get one or even collect some, don’t forget that Disney Resort hotel guests may purchase MagicBand+ online at special prices before their arrival. Annual Passholder discounts will also be available on MagicBand+. All guests can buy MagicBand+ at select stores across Walt Disney World and online at shopDisney, starting at $34.99.

Something else to keep in mind with the MagicBand+ is it may not be something everyone in the group will want since its going to be more complicated than a traditional MB. I wouldn't recommend it for younger kids or non techie people. They're going to need to be paired with a device/MDE app it sounds like and charged. I wonder how long a charge will hold for?

Before you embark on these experiences, make sure your MagicBand+ is charged, up to date and paired to your device.

They hold a charge for 1-3 days

Yes, they are said to be heavier and wider. I wonder if they are waterproof, because you have to charge them. I was excited about getting one and was waiting but....decided to go with an inexpensive MDE one because I don't want to deal with charging them.

I never even thought about them being waterproof.

They are waterproof just like the other MagicBands

ADR day!! Got everything we wanted and then some...

9/22: Space 220 dinner
9/23: Oga's for after-lunch drinks, 50s Prime Time dinner
9/24: Epcot F&W all day, Beaches and Cream for snacks
9/25: Topolino's breakfast, Skipper Canteen early dinner before MNSSHP
9/26: 'Ohana dinner
9/27: CRT dinner

I was tempted by Victoria and Albert's popping up briefly, but our kids are sadly too little. Maybe we'll get a sitter next time. Also, contemplating switching out 'Ohana for Citricos...

I know there are Magicband+ specific threads but figure since we are all reading up on it getting ready for our trip you guys might know - if you need to pair it with Play Disney app for the fun stuff does that mean I need to make separate accounts for everyone to use it? Like my teen girls won't have an issue with that, but my 6 yo doesn't have a phone. It was just something I was thinking of, wondering if maybe I will just order one for me and let her use it for the fun stuff.

Kids under 13 aren't allowed to have their own accts. While Disney has had some major oversights recently, I have to assume that they took that into consideration and under 13s can play in some manner using the parent account that manages them.

One blog I read described it as just pairing the band with the app for the game aspects. So I imagined that as multiple user profiles or game files within the single adult account? That’s how my family’s Apple Arcade account works, each kid just makes a save file, so I am hoping it is similar and can all be managed on one device and one account

Ours is the 27th, currently 63 days away. We arrive on September 25.

are your dates the same?

I didn’t even think about that for our dining reservation date…. Hopefully the reservation system and shopdisney are not connected.

not looking for much in the way of dining : Ohana, Space 220/lounge, artist point, oga’s maybe and Brown Derby.

Howdy! My wife and I are going from 9/8 - 9/15 and staying at All Star Sports. First trip to WDW in 10 years. Doing Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party on trip.

My granddaughter snagged Space 220. I was surprised she wanted that one. It must be cool but I can't justify the price! She got us a character breakfast at Topolino's on our off day and Ohana, which is cool. I'm not in charge of anything, I just open MDE and there it is...LOL!

Well, we were booked with Mears Connect originally because our flight home was outside the operating hours for Sunshine Flyer. Then in June American changed our flights and we were moved to a later flight so I was able to book with Sunshine Flyer. Then this weekend American bumped us back to our original flight. So canceled Sunshine and back on Mears. Since Mears is 24/7 I will just stick with them no matter if our flights are changed again or not just to be safe.

That sounds like a stressful back and forth! I’m choosing to not think very much about the travel aspect of the trip. Trying to expect the unexpected and just go with whatever flow happens that day. I never got to do magical express but I assume part of the appeal was just noting to coordinate that extra leg of transport if delays or changes took place

Anyone know how quickly they will usher us out of the park? Obviously we know we cannot ride anything and need to leave for the paid party goers, but thinking the 7 and 10 year old may try to dilly dally a bit to see the lights on the castle.

Obviously we know we cannot ride anything and need to leave for the paid party goers, but thinking the 7 and 10 year old may try to dilly dally a bit to see the lights on the castle.

I've seen some threads about this elsewhere on the boards, and my sense is that they will direct/usher you out of the park immediately after your meal.

We did Crystal Palace later on a MNSSHP several years ago and each family was escorted by a cast member out of the park and not allowed to stop or go in a gift shop or stop in front of the castle. I saw one family that appeared upset by not being given time to stop but we followed our cast member to the exit as instructed. They were very firm about not stopping.

I assumed it would be like that considering how much guests are paying for tickets for exclusive access, makes sense. I will let the boys know ahead of time that it is dinner and get out immediately.

Hello @Spelurker and in to the September 2022 Group!!! Congratulations on you and your wife's wonderful trip you have planned. So much has changed in the 10 years since you have been - many things will be new to you but all the more fun. MNSSHP will be so nice to experience also. The Halloween Decorations are a big plus for us September people to get to enjoy. I probably will try a few statues, but I'm more interested in the interactive with the nighttime shows I think.
