Princess Half Marathon Weekend 2026 (Feb 26-Mar 2, 2026)

Okay, so I decided to register with a charity. Has anyone run with Rise Against Hunger who can tell me what to expect? I got a confirmation email with the receipt for my initial donation, but it doesn't have any specifics about the bib or race.

I'm guessing the race registration comes later? Do I have to finish fundraising first?

Thanks for any help!
My daughter is running for a different charity, but hers allows her to register once she hits 50% of her goal. She hit that within a few days and the charity organizer emailed to say that runDisney hasn’t given them the registration links yet, but that it typically happens 3-4 weeks after general registration.

I received my DL 5k registration a week after I met my fundraising goal. The lady I spoke with at the charity said she usually sends out the registrations on a periodic basis, not right after hitting the goal. I just happen to get it done right before she sent the next round of registrations.

I’m running two charity bibs during princess weekend (5k and 10k). I got the 5k link to register over the weekend thru Hope Story, and the 10k link came this morning thru TAA. With Hope Story I needed to raise at least 50%, but TAA didn’t have that requirement.

Friendly reminder that if you are still looking for flights (as I am) that Southwest will be releasing the next part of their schedule on Tuesday and those dates will include PW.

I ended up registering my whole group for the Half and 5K. I’m the past, I have been able to go into run Disney and “release” their registrations to them. But, I think it was now I have to email runDisney and have do it? Any help is greatly appreciated. 😛

Instructions for transferring registrations in this post. (Note that this only works for US residents and you don't transfer registrations for your minor children.)

Uuuuugh and all of the SW flights are horrible times (and expensive?) unless I want to drive to Detroit, and then they're still expensive.
I just checked the delta flights from Detroit to MCO for princess week and they actually dropped by $75 per ticket (I was checking comfort + though). This was for 2/28 to 3/6 though (I have been stalking these dates all month).

I need tickets to be a least $150 less at DTW than TVC to break even on parking and gas....and honestly I would probably end up getting a hotel room overnight too.....so really more like $250 cheaper. And this would likely force me to drive 4 hours after 9pm (because we'll probably have a basketball game to referee on Wednesday evening) to said hotel because I'd want a super early flight for expo reasons. Plus whatever value at least 8 hours of driving is "worth" to me. And I'm very stuck with my down/back dates because of kids and work. Saving $100 after the extra travel expenses, but having to drive that much just doesn't seem worth it for just one person. Especially with how weird our late-winter weather can be. It's a whole situation, and right now the cost difference isn't compelling.

I am getting ready to pitch DH on possibly flying home Monday morning because it's a little cheaper. And DS1 would be home from college on his spring break so he could pick me up at the airport midday. (If I thought I could get him to wait until Sunday to come home for his break instead of Thursday night or Friday, I would SOOOOO fly out of TC and back into Detroit and have him pick me up/drive home. But that's not happening.)

I totally understand--it's so much to try and manage. Crazy question but have you looked at flights out of Flint too? That's a little closer than DTW and it's a lovely little airport--perhaps there is something cheaper out of there?

Flint (and Midland/Bay City/Saginaw) are usually about the same at GR or TC.

Are there shuttles or lux buses that do this route? Or even a one-way car rental? I did that once coming back into Boston when I had a free day coupon.

when you have flights in your cart, and you go to login to book it through your chase portal (for the points!) and see that the same flight is now $120 more, you quit dinking around and just checkout at the lower price. YIKES!

Flying home on Monday morning now and I will not try to upgrade my 10k bib to the Challenge. I will not try to upgrade my 10k bib to the Challenge. I will not try to upgrade my 10k bib to the Challenge. (I will likely be refereeing the night before I leave, and the day I get back, and having that many miles on my legs is probably not a great idea.)
