***Official September 2022 Thread***

I might as well blow my plans up entirely lol.

After hemming and hawing about having less than 90 mins for my connection in Calgary (which is also where I'd be going through customs), I bit the bullet and changed my flight to the day before. I'll have to work during the connection now but it was not prohibitively expensive, unlike every other dang option. Hopefully I can find one of the premium lounges and just set myself up for oh about 7 hours lol. But I won't miss my connection, probably. lol.

So now I have an extra full day and depending how tired I am, might wander over to Disney Springs for dinner. But if not, I'll get a good night's sleep and be energized and ready to go on Saturday!

When I was in school, I did some of my best papers in airports. lol. Over the last few years, I've also been pretty productive with work as well. Beats missing a connection or worse, having a flight canceled with no wiggle room or options. Going in early gives you that I think - more peace of mind!

About two weeks ago I adjusted our outgoing Sept flight from a Thursday at noon to Wed at 10 p.m.. We're flying direct, so no connection to worry about, but if the airline dorks with the noon flight, we'll lose a lot of time, if not a full day. I figure this gives us more time to find options while still keeping our original reservations, etc.

Hello! I haven't been here for a while so I just saw this thread. My family will be there 9/10-9/18.

9/10-13 at Bay Lake Towers
9/13-18 at Beach Club

My 60 day window arrived already so I've got some plans. Now I have to get to work studying the Genie/Genie+ system to figure it out. I feel like I'm a first-timer since we haven't been since it was put into place.

I feel completely UGH about my ADRs and my day was 7/12!!!! We are staying CL for the first time and trying to navigate where we will be when with park reservations and hopping I was totally unsure what to book when!! Now I have several repeats that I want to unload and several I decided on late and now can’t get!!! Except for Space 220 lounge. Haven’t been able to get that PERIOD!!!

That's a tough one!
In June, I tried right up until the night before. No dice. Over 2 months I had about 4-5 alerts (different days and tiems) never got an email or text either. I got them for other hard-to-get ADRs, but not that one.

I hope you have better luck!! :)

Also, if you really want it, I am pretty sure you can try to do walk-up. I don't know what time people line up. DH had gone over to ask around 9:30 a.m. but no one was there and a CM from Mission Space said they'd be there later on. We didn't want to wait a few hours (I want to say it's somewhere between 10:30 to 11:30 you can to talk to a CM) to try to get one since we were leaving that area of the park after doing GoTG and Test Track in the a.m.

Welcome @DisEye in to the September 2022 Group!!!! :welcome:We are so glad you joined us as we CountDown these weeks left until our trips. pixiedust:Nice 8 day stay you have planned with your family at Bay Lake Towers and Beach Club with that great pool area. My family including myself have not been since Genie was added and we are also reading about it too. I will add you to the CountDown List on page 1 and we will see you here for more planning!!! 🏰

60 days! We are staying CL so I am keeping the ADRs to a minimum.

I tried for Wine Bar George brunch and there was not one reservation open. Luckily they are also on OpenTable so I was able to make a reservation there.

Also got lunch at Steakhouse 71 for our arrival day but the only time was 11:50 which is cutting it a bit close for a 9:00 flight landing.

Do you think we will get a "small" discount on the MagicBand+? I am holding off to see if they go on sale before ordering (we have bands from May trip).
I'm sure pre-ordering if they are out in time for our September trips will get some kind of discount. I believe I heard they're going to be about $50, so maybe ordering in advance would be $40?

As of right now all of these are available for dinner on the 25th, that’s as far out as I can see, at good times too. I am sure this will change by your ADR day, but I tell you this so you can have hope they will be available at some point during your stay.

I’ve noticed lately that the afternoon VQ for Guardians has been staying open for quite a while after 1pm so if it’s still VQ In September, it should be too hard to grab an afternoon VQ if you don’t get one in the morning. I’m hoping it will be standby by then.
Would standby lines be longer waits than VQ? Is it just the ability to be more flexible about jumping in line that you like?
