*** Official OCTOBER 2021 Countdown Group - HAPPY 50th ANNIVERSARY WDW! ***

Changed our resort, Oct 11-18, we are at Beach Club villas our first night, switching to Shades now instead of Boardwalk Villas, then to the Poly Villas for our last night and BooBash. We are going to use our first and last full days as resort days to take advantage of the pools at BC and Poly. Had to use or lose those DVC points! I loved the idea of walking to Epcot but for over $1000 savings it’s a no brained especially since I signed up for Dopey again in January.

The new enchantment fireworks at the MK is scheduled at 9:00 PM from October 1 through October 4; 8:00 PM from October 5 to October 16.

Harmonious at Epcot is scheduled at 9:45 PM, October 1 through October 16.

Today was my ADR window. The ADR calendar will not open up past September 30. So by the time I call in at 7:00 am, there will probably not be anything left for the places in wanted.

Oh no! Try alternative browsers/devices, this has happened to me before and sometimes I’ll be able to book on iPad vs. the website

Trited all of that, no luck. I was able to secure several reservations on the app (one Sci-Fi), but the app would not confirm any of them. Was having issues interfacing with the server. So now I'm on hold with WDW-DINE. A two hour wait!!!! :rolleyes1

That sucks. I had that glitch for our doomed May 2020 trip where it wouldn’t let me book Savi’s or Droid Depot for May the 4th on our ADR day because the calendar was grayed out and I had to call.

Right now I’m on hold for 2 hours myself because the park pass system is glitching. I canceled our AK passes for 10/3 and wanted to book Epcot but it won’t let me book for my partner talking about she has the max passes already…sigh. I have to shift other passes that weekend since we changed over to the Dolphin and now I’m scared to.

My first ADR day was today and went about as expected, got Chefs de France for arrival night dinner on 9/30. There was nothing at all in MK on the 1st so I booked lunch at GF Cafe and set up alerts. On 10/2 I got a breakfast ADR at Hollywood & Vine then realized it was Disney Jr characters so looked again and was able to get the Cape May breakfast I actually wanted lol. That will be a Hollywood Studios rope drop morning just for Rise and 1 or 2 other headliners and then leave for breakfast and chill the rest of the day at the Dolphin. We have a couples massage booked at Mandara Spa there and plan to have pool/nap time after that, possibly going back to HS at night or Epcot for dinner and fireworks. 10/3 I had already booked dinner at Jaleo over the phone last week.

We are doing a quick trip just to be at MK on the 50th so today was ADR day - nothing available for MK anywhere anytime. Hoping eventually to find something because we plan a full day and I'd like a place to recharge a little

Almost two and one-half hours on hold and the only restaurant that I wanted ADR's for which was available was Sci-Fi. Nothing else for the entire four days I'm at the Contemporary.

No dinner reservations available at any MK resort restaurant on Sept 30!

I'm really going to have to rethink this trip. I don't want to eat quick service the entire time I'm there.

The CM was very nice and tried to find ADR's for me. I'm going to have to go through this again when my ADR's open Thursday for my ressie at the Beach Club. Just not sure this trip is worth all of this!

Yea- same here!! MK IS BOOKED SOLID!!! Yikes- we were planning on doing a QS lunch to eat in HUB and watch cavalcades, but I’d love a sit down dinner before fireworks... oh well, we shall see!! I’d even settle for Tony’s at this point!! Still hoping for a special fireworks party or meal package 🤞🏼🤞🏼

anyone hear any new Space 220 rumors??? Was kind of keeping my Epcot day open for that but it’s been pretty quiet on that front.
We are 2 grown women, however we wanted to do a non park character breakfast the day we leave.. was hoping for topolinos but that is also crazy booked, so for chef Mickey’s as a place holder .. this was a tough one. There is a lot of availability but not where I need it to be 🤷🏻‍♀️

I did ours and a few others' reservations yesterday and it was not a fun 90 minutes lol. We did get an 8:45 dinner at Skippers for the 1st but want something earlier so I got a 6:40 Citricos as well but hoping to eventually move Skippers up. For lunch we got WCC even though we rather stay in the park but wanted a sit down more! Depending on crowds we may be ready to leave for a little bit by lunch anyway. Getting dinner on the 30th was slim also but then I got everything else we wanted for the 2-5th.

Yeah I'm kind of feeling like if we don't get back in to MK for capacity reasons or whatever it'll probably be for the best. We really have no expectations for that day other than just to be there to be there.

I'm totally alone on that day as I cannot get my daughter a MK pass. She'll be at EPCOT. I could care less about seeing celebreties, I just want to see the fireworks from main street. However, I fear every vlogger and their entourage will be staked out with cameras glaring into the night.

That’s definitely true and I didn’t even think about that...ugh. I have a feeling they will all hit Epcot at rope drop to cover Remy and then hop to MK. Tbh I honestly see Disney restricting hopping into MK before they close for capacity.

Sooooo.....for those going, what's your plan/outlook for the real possibility of there still being no fast pass? (outside of 10/1 because gah!!!)

We use Touring Plans lines app. From reports I've been reading past few days, they are pretty on point with times. MDE will say 80 minutes, TP will say 40 and it ends up being 42.

So we are there 9 full days, so I realize we have the luxury of time.
Also, and don't kill me, we don't really care if we get on ROTR or not. I mean we'll try, but not a priority. And same with Flights of Passage - we liked, but not big fans of simulator rides.

Going with the flow as the name of the game- we are pretty okay with 60 minute lines if that's what it's going to be. Maybe 70 for a "have to ride". (I may stand in line for 2 hours for Rat by myself and everyone else can eat/drink if they don't feel like waiting!)

We plan to rope drop AK one day and DHS one day. That's really it for rope drop. I mean, I guess Epcot would be a rope drop but at 11 am opening, it's fine! :D
MK we are doing Boo Bash so I don't feel the pressure to rope drop there.
We also plan to close parks, be there during dinner times and see if lines go down then.

I think for us especially going towards end of month, even with longer lines, the heat hopefully won't bake us. I hate to be all Pollyanna about it, but I'm kind of looking forward to going without a real "plan". Just checking wait times and doing whatever we want!

It is what it is and crowds, lines, as long as we are all healthy and smiling - it's going to be a great trip! (knock wood :D )
