How did you manage to get reservations this early. I thought you had to wait to 60 days?

Some of the Disney Springs restaurants use Open Table for reservations. It wasn't working when I tried, so I called to see if they had a time limit before booking and she took it over the phone!

Those are our park reservations - but we will have hoppers, so we may finish the nights at different parks, depending on what's open late.

Our trip overlaps with yours and none of our park days match. The only thing we have in common is that we are both going home on Friday - to Chicago. I have been watching SWA airfare but it is still high.

for those going to be there on Oct 1: What do you want to do that day? Do you have Park Passes? Plan on doing rope drop?

We are hoping for an early morning Cindy’s so we can be in the park already. Bad idea? Good idea? What are the negatives! Does anyone think there might be a special ceremony or unique opening that day? I know no one knows... but this is our first time being in park for any anniversary. For those people experienced with anniversary celebrations...What have you seen in the past?

What I have seen over and over again is people who have made ADR's in an attempt to get into the park ahead of the crowd getting their plans messed up by Disney changing the park hours at the last minute. Even with an early breakfast ADR, the crowd will get ahead of you in line for the rides. I would plan on being there an hour before rope drop, and then get in the park as fast as possible. Then plan a nice, relaxing lunch.

If CL is back by then we will probably enjoy a break in the lounge or have pool time if it gets too insane. One of the reasons we chose to stay at CR for that weekend was the quick access to and from MK.

While I agree with the cautionary note above about Disney changing park hours, I will say that I have had great luck getting on SDMT before rope drop crowd with BOG breakfast pre-park opening. This was in the past before COVID so YMMV.

We have had the same experience. My husband loves to tell the story of when we got out of BOG breakfast and me and my daughter went on SDMT while he waited with our daughter that was too small to ride. Rope drop happened while we were in line and he said he saw this huge swarm of Moms with strollers barreling toward SDMT. He cracks up every time he tells the story.

Yes. I can't vouch for how things are going currently. But I have had PPO breakfast at BOG, which was pretty straightforward as you could pre-order meals. We would check-in, eat, hit the restroom, and be outside in special line for SDMT about 20 minutes before opening without feeling rushed at all. Then, we would get a ride or two on SDMT before the hordes descended and would move on to Peter Pan no problem.

we are doing a split stay. One night at Dolphin on points, then CL WL till 9/30, then MK view main tower Contemporary till10/3. We did not plan on any rides, maybe people mover and non headliners. I am hoping CL services will open so they can handle ADRs. The plan is to walk to MK early morning on the first, as well.
