*** Official OCTOBER 2021 Countdown Group - HAPPY 50th ANNIVERSARY WDW! ***

I'm trying to wrap my head around planning with no fast passes.

I....don't know how!!!
OMG it's so easy and freeing lol! We've already been 6x post-COVID and go again in 3 weeks and I LOVE LOVE LOVE no fastpasses-in fact I hope they never come back :snooty: Get to your park and go where you wanna go! It's funny how wait times will not be what you think at certain times, like you'll assume a headliner will be long and it's not, then on your way out of a park you figure you'll stop and 1 usually quick attraction and there's a significant wait. But it makes the says so much more fun and relaxing! Now come Oct. who knows what it'll look like but I still rather wait in an hour long continuously moving line than a 45 minute standby that doesn't move because FP folk are being let in lol

I feel like the expected crowds in October will be a game-changer though!

But you are right, it does feel nice to not be trying to get fast passes for everyone!

I just made a dinner reservation for Il Mulino at Swan for 10/4 after a HS day.

I have a sense of relief that I have at least one firm thing planned since we are inside that old 180 day window.

Now the waiting game continues.......:bored:

I'm already having packing indecision.

I like to wear dresses/skirts in the summer (with cute gym shoes). Have a lot for work already. I also have a lot of cute summery tops and shorts.

Do I wear my sundresses and skirts in the parks? There aren't very many rides that I think it would be an issue. They all hit just a couple inches above my knees.
Or do I wear shorts/top in the parks and change to dress in the evening?

What do you guys do?

The nice thing is everything is lightweight and I can roll everything for packing!

Just pack it all??? :D

I wear my sundresses with bike shorts underneath. FoP is the only ride that feels awkward to me.

A lot more women are wearing dresses in the parks lately, especially in the warm weather. :)

We are also celebrating 25 years together! We aren't married, but have together since we were 22! Living together since 23! :D

First solo family trip, just me,my husband and 12 yr old son. Split stay CBR 9th-11th than AKL Jambo 11-17. Yes is gonna be crazy but I hope the extra days let us not worry to much.

alright! Just called Boathouse and booked us for a 7pm dinner in October!

Feeling pretty good! We are only doing a few sit downs this time. We had too many last trip, I don't want to to be tied to a table service every night. We plan to eat at food/wine a lot. and already secured Boathouse and Wine Bar George, just need to get Tiffins and Topolinos at 60 days!

Topolinos I will try on our 60+8 (our 8th night) so hopefully I can snag one doing it later in the trip.

We’ll be at Pop Oct 6-10. Waiting for Boo Bash dates to see if it will work for our arrival night. I made a park pass reservation for Epcot even though I’d rather hop there just in case they do a virtual que for Ratatouille.

My wife and I have tried for 3 years to get to WDW. We now are booked for this Sep - Oct.
This was supposed to be our first trip without kids but our two adult children vetoed that idea and booked their own trip for our 2nd week.
Talk about the best of both worlds.

Sept. 26 - Oct. 3 - Eeyore52 - CBR
Oct. 3 - Oct. 9 -
Eeyore52 - AoA

I probably posted trip plans already, but of course I keep making changes.

I'm posting the latest - mostly just to keep track for myself!

Wed - arrive, late lunch/early dinner Wine Bar George, then Epcot for the night!
Thurs - Magic Kingdom and hopefully a Boo Bash this day!
Fri - Animal Kingdom, brother arrives - late dinner at Three Bridges at resort
Sat - DHS
Sun - sister arrives, Magic Kingdom, dinner at Boathouse
Mon - Epcot
Tues - Animal Kingdom, dinner at Tiffins
Wed - DHS, later dinner at Topolinos (Hopefully)
Thurs - Epcot
Friday - home sweet home to pick up Walnut and start planning for 2023!

Those are our park reservations - but we will have hoppers, so we may finish the nights at different parks, depending on what's open late. We often leave parks in the afternoon, hang at the pool, then head back out during the evening.

The only wild card is Boo Bash, seeing what nights are available. And if the add other after-hours at AK or DHS.

Yes-this is the big wild card for me as well. I currently don't have a park reservation for Magic Kingdom in the hopes that the Boo Bash will work out. Hoping for good news in June.

Right now our plans are:

Thursday night - late night arrival
Friday - planning to rent a cabana at SAB for the day then hoping for Boo Bash that night
Saturday - EPCOT (still deciding on a table service meal if any)
Sunday - Studios (not planning a table service here but hoping to do Oga's)
Monday - AK through lunch (planning for Tiffins), evening flight home.

How did you manage to get reservations this early. I thought you had to wait to 60 days?

Disney Springs' restaurants have their own reservations available. Also, for Disney restaurants you can get the ADR's all on the day your 60 day window opens from your first date (that's why the reference to 60+8).
