I'm up and ready, here we goooooo!

6:05a
Having server problems. It finds my hotel res, then when I confirm it, it says it can't find it! It worked the first time and I had my 7:50 for Le Cel, but now this!!!

I had issues too.:surfweb: I cleaned my cookies out and after that not a problem:banana:

I changed browsers from IE to FF and it's still not working. It makes me enter my resort res number every time then it says it can't find my reservation. I think i will just call.

try cleaning out your cookies and temp internet files. That is what I did after 45 of getting mad and it worked like a charm

Thanks so much for the tip!! I made all of my reservations so quickly after i did what you said!!!

OK, after 20 minutes of trying online (I was using IE to start) I decided to wait and call. My DD is battling a cold and was cranky again this morning, which would've been her first day back to day care since getting her on Thursday with a fever, so I kept her home again. Luckily I can work from home so I'm not missing any time, but I'm still fairly new to the job so I don't like doing it that much. My husband was already 45 minutes into his trip to work so there was no turning around at that point.

Anyway, phone reservations worked great, as usual, and the only minor adjustment was our first reservation at CP. I wanted closer to 5:30 but it was 4:50 or 5:50 and earlier is better here since we'll be cranky from travel, I'm sure. Here we go:

10/23 - Crystal Palace, 4:50 PM
10/24 - Tony's, 5:30 PM
10/25 - Akershus breakfast, 8:30 AM
10/26 - Tusker House breakfast with Donald, 8:40
- 1900 PF, 5:00 PM
10/27 - CS day, no TS reservations
10/28 - Kona Cafe, 5:30 PM

That's it! All at the times we wanted except CP, but I'm fine with that reservation since every time I've gone we've had at least a 20 minute wait to be seated anyway. It's all good.:banana:

Hope everyone else had good luck!! :goodvibes

Woo hoo! Logged in this morning at 6:20am and had no problems what so ever, got everything we wanted!

10/25-Crystal Palace 8:35am. So excited to be in the MK before it opens! I have never done that before.

10/26-Yachtsman Steakhouse for our 8th wedding anniversary dinner at 7:30pm. Excited to try a new restaurant.

10/28-Biergarten @ 6:30pm. Sooo glad they fixed the glitch in the system and we could get to eat here. It's my DH's favorite and would have been super disappointed if we had to choose some where else!

Congrats to everyone else who got what they wanted! Now the waiting begins! :yay:

Well all my ADR's and activities are booked (except for Golf which is 90 days)

10/23 Captain Grill 6:45
10/24 1900 7:00
10/25 Tony's 2:35/5:15
Pirate Cruise for dd 9:30
Pirate League 2:25 (I want a later time for lunch at Tony's but since at this time, we couldnt get an earlier time and have us for a Dinner reservation but will keep trying for a later Pirate League time)
10/26 Akershaus 9:30
Whispering Canyon 9:15 p.m.
10/27 Mama Melrose/Fanstamic 3:30
Wonderland tea party 2:00
10/28 - no table service

I am pretty happy with my times except for the pirate League. But will work on that throughout the months.

lots of ADRs today! congrats to all who got what you wanted!!!

Do you think so? That helps me feel a bit better, LOL! :) If I thought we would even be at least planning ahead of time as far as which park we wanted to do on which day, I'd feel better. I just picture us spending a TON of time "planning" while we're actually there - and that seems like a) a huge waste of time since we really only have 4 full days to spend in the parks (since we're losing one day to Sea World) and b) a daily screaming argument waiting to happen. While I sit there like this popcorn:: and wishing someone would have listened to me back in April and at least let me make some freaking ADRs. LOL...
well my two cents is- make your plan. if they don't want to follow it, that's their choice, but at least you have a plan. Are you guys planning to stay together the entire time? I would make sure to set expectations that you will split up and that you won't all be waiting on the slackers in the group.

we did a trip last December 2009 with my entire family- a party of 14- 5 families spread over 5 separate rooms at the WL for 10 days. The only way we made it through was with a plan. We've done the no plan thing before- in fact it was a short weekend trip to Sea World in San Antonio with all of us- and we spent the majority of our time looking at the map, figuring out the lay of the land and arguing on where to go to next. it was such a waste of time. never again. So that Dec WDW trip, we all made a plan together- i had everyone provide input on where they wanted to eat, what were their must see's etc. We booked all the ADRs and even booked a few that only a few families did on their own. We ate the majority of meals together, but split up often in the parks and it worked out well. AT least each family knew what time we would meet in the lobby of the hotel each morning and what park we were doing each day and night. if they weren't interested in doing that park, they just went off on their own and it was fine. It worked out well for us. I can't imagine all 14 of us in the lobby arguing about where to go for the day. but then again i am a super crazy freak about planning most of the time too. i don't plan it down to the rides or anything- just the park for the am and night and meals. good luck!:thumbsup2

Good news is IPO successfully made my 3 ADR's I requested and they showed up with my WDW reservations online. Bad news is I didn't receive an email from them today letting me know everything was successfully booked - of course only concerned about Sunrise Safari and Illuminations Cruise right now. Can someone please tell me if either of those 2 things would normally show up in the reservations on WDW's site? Hoping they normally don't and I receive an email from IPO tomorrow letting me know those were booked also.

Anyways here's our 3 ADR's:
Monday 10/24 Rose & Crown 6:30p
Tuesday 10/25 Sanaa 5p
Friday 10/28 50's Prime Time 1:05p

Tuesday we are tentatively doing a 2nd MNSSHP (assuming we want to go again after going to our 1st Sunday night). Is Sanaa at 5p too late considering it would be our 2nd MNSSHP of the week, we are staying AKV so know traveling to worry about, and just 2 of us? Or would you try to change times or days?
i don't think you other ressies will show up online. i booked the pirates and pals cruise and pirate league, but neither show up online. only my resort and dining show up. i would contact IPO about getting the confirmations on the safari etc. On Sanaa- you can probably barely make it to MK by 7---i figure you will want a leisurely nice meal there and not rush it and of course you know the transportation. so i would think you might just make it by 7 for the party. i guess it depends on if you want to get to the party right at 7 or if you don't care being late?

lol I know and the CM sounded so convincing. She just told me that since the MNSSHP schedule wasn't out that they didn't have the P&P's hours out for those days. She said nothing that since it was a MNSSHP night that there wouldn't be a P&P that night. That's going to suck if I have reschedule my nights to fit that in. gggrrrrr I'm really hoping that MNSSHP schedule comes out next week for sure.

Congrats to all those who got to make ADR's today!!!:woohoo:
so funny! :rotfl: it makes sense though what your CM said. my CM probably had it completely wrong- saying there weren't any cruises, when she just didn't see the hours yet. i bet once MNSSHP is released, you can get the MNSSHP night for the cruises. i need to figure out if i want to call back then and change or not. i had already changed up my schedule to accommodate the new night, i might just leave it! if i do change, i'll let you know, since we'd be on the same cruise!!!!:thumbsup2

I've got a little downtime here at work, so I figured "why not add my info to the October thread?" So that is what I am going to do. Those in charge of the thread, do what you want with the information. My girlfriend and I will be staying at AKL from 10/21-10/29 :cool1: We booked right after NYE so we are 1/3 of the way through our waiting.

We booked our ADR's on Sunday and got the following:

10/21- Wanyama Safari
10/22- Cali Grill- 7:50
10/23- The Plaza- 4:25 (MNSSHP hopefully)
10/24- Chef's Tasting Wine Dinner @ Flying Fish- 5:45
10/25- La Hacienda- 6:30
10/26- 50's PTC- 12:05 and Citricos- 9:50
10/28- Shula's- 7:00
10/29- Chef Mickey's Breakfast- 9:30

My girlfriend and I decided to go all out this time around since we don't know when we will make it back (I might also be proposing at some point on the trip).

Lucky girl! :cutie:

We are staying at AKV Jambo 10/21-10/30. Maybe we will run into you there. I think there are 4 or 5 of us staying there those dates, we are talking about arranging a meet.

Ok I made my ADRs this morning. I wasn't quite as excited about getting up and getting them done this morning as I normally would have been b/c my DD2 has been sick since Sunday and NOT sleeping well--which is very usual for her even when she is sick. So I was SO tired when the alarm went off at 4:45 am....but I'm done complaining now :flower3:

Sunday, Oct 23
Rose & Crown 6:30pm I was really hoping for later b/c this is our arrival day....we are driving and probably won't get to our resort until 4:30 but it will do. I was really hoping for 7:30-8:00 time, but I know Rose & Crown can be popular that late b/c of patio seating during Illuminations.

Mon, Oct 24
Boma 7:00pm First time trying Boma!

Tues, Oct 25
counter service meals

Wed, Oct 26
Crystal Palace 12:45 pm

Thurs, Oct 27
Akershus 1:20pm First time here!!

Fri, Oct 28
CRT 10:00am

Wow, a disney proposal!:flower3: I'm sure you have a lot of planning to do. Hope you have a wonderful trip!:cutie:

Okay, so I'm now mildly freaking out.

MIL, who is the person making the reservations (hotel, plane, etc) seems to be of the opinion that we should just make one ADR - for CRT if we can get it - and that's it. She wants to do one day at Sea World and thinks we should just wait and see what the "best day is weatherwise" and go that day.

I am a total planner by nature and this is going to make me nuts for the next 6 months. I don't care if we have a plan and decide to scrap it mid-trip, but having no plan at all is going to make me crazy.

I am picturing us spending a LOT of time waiting for my two SILs, who are staying out at ASMu (we are staying at Poly with the ILs), to take the fourteen stops and transfers etc to get to our resort, then an hour while everyone argues about who wants to go to what park and who wants to eat where and when... and spending half the day texting back and forth to figure out where everyone is and when they want to meet back up.

Ugh... have any of you guys ever done a no-plan-at-all trip? Am I doomed to disaster? It might not be so bad if it was just us and my ILs, since we'll be in adjoining rooms of the same resort, but add my two sisters-in-law who are staying somewhere else entirely and it just seems like a recipe for disaster...

Yet another vote for making ADRs just in case. I went with my entire family in 2009 and there were 13 of us in all. If we hadn't had a plan for which park to go to on which day and which table service meals to eat, we would have split up by the end of day 1 in frustration and probably not seen each other the rest of the trip. It was frustrating enough with the plans! I would come up with ADRs and base your park plans on them. If you're getting park hoppers, then that's even better because you're all not stuck to that park that day. Then just tell everyone "since we're such a large party, I made reservations for here on this day at this time. This is the park we plan to be in that day for the most part. If you want to be there, great, if not we'll see you at the meal. If you want to skip that meal, just let me know and I'll take you off the ADR at check-in." Done. I'd even make reservations for all the days and then just cancel the one on the day you go to Sea World. As long as it's not Akershus or CRT, you can cancel the same day. And CS meals, of course, are always spontaneous for us, so your MIL won't need to plan the whole day. I agree that she probably doesn't realize what it's like now. I'd make plans anyway, even if you share them at the last minute. Good luck!!!

Might be interesting. Feel free to keep me posted if anything comes up. Neither of us are very social people, so I don't know if we would go. I'd be open to the idea, she not so much. However, her mood may change after I propose. :confused3

Thanks. Indeed I do have planning to do. I'm still in the gathering ideas phase. It will be something simple but not cliche (no wishing well or Wishes or in front of Cindy's castle for us). Probably something simple at the resort on the first night. I have contacted IPO at AKL (we are staying CL) about some ideas and things they have done, so we will see. :thumbsup2

That would stress me out. I'm glad your husband is planning on talking to them. Why are the SIL's staying at a different location? I would definitely make some plans. Agree with everyone else about just canceling them if it doesn't work out.

Or again...say, "I know DD wants to eat with Tigger and Pooh - so I think I will try to get a CP ADR...do you guys want to join us that night/am, or do you want to do your own thing??"

Love this idea.

How sweet! She's one lucky girl. Others are dreaming of this same thing happening on their trip.

Yeah it's one of the few nights where there is no MNSSHP while we are down there, so I am glad we got a prime Wishes ADR (Wishes is at 9 that night:thumbsup2). Thanks for the "Good Luck". I have been in talks with IPO at AKL to see what ideas they and I can come up with, plus they asked their partners at Jiko and Animal Programs (who run the Wanyama Safari) to see what they could do. I'm interested to see how things go on their end. It really is exciting.:goodvibes

Wow - I probably did not appreciate my ILs enough last year when they went with us! They let me book absolutely everything - from Resort reservations, to airfare, to Dining......They pretty much just came along for the ride!:rotfl:

That's exactly how my inlaws are when we travel. They don't care where or how we go as long as they are not involved in the actual planning. I have a yearly vacation with them and we all have a great time. They live in South America, so they only come visit us once a year. Though they do stay with us for about 1 1/2 months and then off to my sister in laws house in another state. :)

You ladies are saints! I love my in-laws, don't get me wrong! But I just returned from a trip to Mexico with them that they planned. First of all, I don't like relinquishing control over plans. Also they just drove my FI and I crazy.. We like to do things just the two of us... :love2: We're excited to be our own family finally! So yeah, never again!

Here are my ADRs finally! I actually made them the morning before I left on that trip to Mexico. I was a bit busy... I think that these are pretty much as I want them. I will point out any problems I'm having though!

Remember that we have the Regular Dining Plan. Also if you can answer any of my Qs, you totally rock!!! :cool1:

Saturday, October 1st: Wedding Day!! :bride:

Sunday, October 2nd: Fly to WDW :)
Brunch
Drive to the airport
Magical Express! :mickeyjum When I see the CMs with the Mickey hands, I start jumping!
Here's my first issue: the only night we have free to see F! is Sunday night. I'm afraid we'll miss it, because we still have to do the post wedding brunch, then the whole airport then, and then provided airline tickets weren't too expensive for the earliest, fastest flight and the flight itself isn't delayed, and ME is fast enough, and Disney transportation isn't running behind...... :rolleyes1 You get the idea! FI is in love with the idea of F! I'm stressing.. What do I do Dissers?!

Monday, October 3rd: Hollywood Studios Day
See I was really hoping F! would be today!
Lunch at Toy Story Pizza Planet
Sci-Fi Dine-In 6:35 pm (Because to quote FI, "Its more of a dinner place" I think he might be referring to the ceiling....)

Tuesday, October 4th: EPCOT Day
:woohoo: My fave!
F&W/Drinking Around the World
Ohana 6:35 pm
I'm feeling the crunch on getting from EPCOT, to the Poly, and then back this day, but there are EMH that night...

Wednesday, October 5th: Animal Kingdom Day
Lunch at Flame Tree
Boma 7:00 pm
I have a feeling the buses might be a pain this night, because AK will be closed. What will be the easiest way to get back to CSR?

Thursday, October 6th: Magic Kingdom/MNSSHP (Yeah, still hoping!) Day
1900 Park Fare 8:05 am
Dinner in the park/CSR pre-party
Is 8 am too early on the day of MNSSHP? Keep in mind that we are college students that are used to fairly crazy schedules. We do "go out" ;) and the next day, we'll get it pretty relaxed..

Friday, October 7th: Chillax/What did we miss?/DTD Day
Lunch wherever we happen to be (Hopefully by the pool!)
Raglan Road 7:00pm

Saturday, October 8th: Back to MK/What did we miss? Day 2
Romantical dinner at Artist Point 6:00pm :lovestruc
We'll be able to make it over for Wishes, right? Provided service is good, I guess..

Sunday, October 9th: Fly Home Day :(
No ADRs this day. Just playing it by ear..

Thanks loves!

Here's where we are right now.

10/14

Plaza 7pm
10/15
Le Cellier 12:20PM
Rose and Crown 8:40pm
10/16
T-rex 5pm
