I love the WL Of course the Food & Wine Festival will be going on at Epcot.

There is a haunted carriage ride at Fort Wilderness I been thinking about maybe doing it , you can find info about it on allears site

Haunted Halloween Carriage Rides at
Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground


In the past, Fort Wilderness usually offered specially themed hayrides each October. This year, Halloween Carriage Rides will be offered.

Haunted Carriage Rides – A 25-minute narrated carriage ride through the dark woods and along the shore of Bay Lake. Hear the sights and sounds of the "Legend of Sleepy Hollow." All rides depart from in front of Crockett's Tavern at Fort Wilderness Resort and Campground.

HOURS:
October 3-18, on the half hour from 7:30 to 10:30 p.m. (Last ride begins at 10:30.)
October 19 – November 1 on the half hour from 7 to 10:30 p.m. (Last ride begins at 10:30.)

Carriage holds up to 4 adults or 2 adults and 2 small children. Cost is $60.

Well I am 99% decided, I just haven't actually made the switch. I think I am going to wait until I get final word on a promotion I am applying for at my job, and then I will change it... so hopefully next week!

Exw, thanks for the tips. Loud and scary is what we need to avoid. I think the dessert party should be ok, if we can go indoors if it bothers her and music will help but Fantasmic sounds like something we'll avoid this year. Sounds like it's fun but just not for her yet.

there isn't an area right inside the dessert party that is inside, it is all open. However, there are bathrooms back there too, so you could always hide out in there if need be.

JetBlue released their flights through October, AirTran released theirs (with some pricing issues initially that have since been ironed out) - I think SouthWest has theirs out too. So here we sit... waiting for you and those pesky October park hours. Did you know that Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party dates have been leaked?! Now we've got our room and packages booked, scored cheap airfare as soon as flights were released, know the parties we want to attend and even where we want to eat --- BUT GUESS WHAT --- we really need you to just go ahead and release the October hours to us. No one has to know it was you directly, just leak it like that one guy up on the 4th floor that earned a quick $50 for shelling out the Halloween party dates. Be a good dooby and help us out, we'd REALLY appreciate it!

I got our airline tix on Airtran today - From PIT to MCO $129 each way. It's more than we ever had to pay to fly to FL. We usually get them for under $250 but it seems good compared to the other prices out there now. And it's nonstop!! I am so excited!!!!!!!!!!!!!

now that i have learned and read all about the segmented dining plan stuff for DVC, i am considering it for maybe a day or two of our trip. We have at least one meal that TIW won't work for (Teppan Edo), so maybe we should consider DP for a day or two. I am going to play with it and see if it makes sense. i like the option of adding it for only a day or two or more or switching it up- nice perk! sounds like they have most of the glitches worked out now too. i guess this one good thing to come out of the new reservations system? anyone else staying on points done this with success so far?

I know on the thread that these dates were posted on, they also noted NOT to take these are final. they said that last year, they were leaked early too and at least one date was completely wrong and messed up a lot of people's plans once Disney released the actual dates and put tickets on sale. So be sure you just take it with a grain of salt until disney actually puts the tickets on sale. these dates could be accurate, but no guarantees. at least that is what I was told- until disney puts them on sale, you can't know for sure the dates.....i know, more guessing and second guessing. boo!

Re: the crazy Airtran prices.... check back tomorrow or the day after and I can guarantee you the prices will be back down to their normal ranges. I was looking for Airtran info here in the DIS and a couple other people tipped me off that when Airtran initially posts their flights, the prices are ABSURD for a day or two. Then they go back down to be in line with their other flights.

So no worries. I know I panicked at first too, but 24 hours later & I got my tickets from Ohio to MCO for $117 each way.

Airtran just released prices this morning and they seem on par with how they've been lately. Now we're just waiting a bit to see if SouthWest drops their prices cause right now they are outrageous for our dates!

I bought my tickets through Southwest on Monday the 14th....there was a delay due to my hubby not being totally "on board" with our plans. The cost went up $135 total for my family because of a one hour delay.

I can honestly tell you, having just reviewed Airtran and Southwest for my same dates that I booked last Monday....the price has increased on all but one or two flights. And it's going to keep going up. The seats are getting booked and fuel prices are increasing....they're not going to have a choice because their costs are increasing.

Are these official hours?

They are usually more accurate than the WDW site. That is, up until about 6 weeks to a month before, then any changes that WDW makes to the schedule (adding additional hours, parades/fw etc.), usually are NOT reflected on the agent site. But for now- this is said to be the most accurate from my experience.
