You are freaking out!!!! You sound like me so I totally understand what you're going through. Just breathe! There is NOTHING you can do until the October hours are out, at least! Then you'll have a little better idea when the parties are.

That said, I thought parties were mostly Tuesdays and Fridays....

LOL! I know I'm freaking out! The most annoying thing is, originally, we were going from 9/30-10/8, but recently I cut the first day, so now our arrival day is 10/1. If I kept 9/30, we could just go to the party that night and my DHS magic hours would be fine! :rotfl:

I guess there is nothing I can do until the October hours are out! I'll try not to panic!

I know there are more MNSSHP per week the closer you get to Halloween (4 X) as opposed to earlier in the month when it is 2x a week? I think :confused3

I did a tentative schedule based on last years schedule, knowing I may have to change a few things around when the official October 2011 park hours are posted but it is a start.

I am waiting to for the "Eat to the Beat" performers lineup to come out too!

We are doing the DxDP and trying a lot of places for the first time. plus plan on using our snack credits at the F&W Kiosks

Wed 10/19 Arrive Epcot lunch Via Napoli / DTD dinner Raglan Road

Thu 10/20 breakfast YC Cap't Grille/DHS lunch Brown Derby F!Pkg/BC dinner Cape May then back to DHS for F!

Fri 10/21 Epcot breakfast Akershus/lunch Le Chefs de France/'Poly Ohana dinner/ MK MNSSHP

Sat 10/22 AKL breakfast Boma/AK /Epcot lunch Marrakesh/dinner Biergarten

Sun 10/23 MK breakfast Crystal Palace/Epcot lunch Le Cellier/dinner San Angel

Mon 10/24 BC breakfast Cape May/ Epcot lunch Teppan Edo/dinner Rose & Crown

Tues 10/25 Depart

I can't wait to see who the Eat to the Beat performers are too! Your itinerary looks great! I can't even bring myself to do a tentative schedule right now, I'm just going to hope that things are a little different from last year! Or, at the very least, they have MNSSHP on Tuesday!

AYKM?!?!?! STILL no October hours??? I wake up every morning so hopeful!

September hours were released on the TA website on Feb 12th - but technically, that was about 17 days early, so I guess we're just "spoiled", hey?:guilty:

I stress out myself but once I get some sort of tentative schedule planned out I feel like a huge load is lifted from me.
We changed our dates from Sept to Oct but I did the same with our Sept dates and when the official schedule came out I only had to make very minor changes, but not anything that affected my planned park days , differences were a half hour here or there in park closing times if I recall correctly so I am hopeing for the same when the offical October hours are posted.

From my notes from last year the Eat to the Beat performers were announced on April 22 - My ADR Day this year hopeing they post a day or two sooner this year

Jumping on board..... Hello Everyone! Thank you Shannon for starting this thread.

Sounds like lots of birthday celebrations going on... Me too! Tho' it's 41 for me this year. :scared1:

Please add me on to your list. I am going SOLO!!!! :woohoo:
Oct. 15-19 at VWL and Oct. 19-23 at AKL.

I was down in Nov. 2010 and was able to do the MNSSHP on the first. We had fun. Not having been before we were disorganized but who cares, right? Planning on doing MNSSHP again as well as exploring the F&W Festival more closely... esp. the wine part.

I am thinking of not planning any ADRs and risking it. But that takes all the fun out of planning... I am so torn... or is it confused???? :confused3

I look forward to reading and chatting more....
Happy St. Patrick's Day!!!!!

I am right there with you checking the TA site each day :rotfl:

What is the TA site? Do they post the hours before other sites? Please share. I have always used wdwinfo.com to check park hours because they seem to put them up before the official WDW site.

TA-Travel Agent Calendar their park hours tend to be more accurrate than even the official Disney.Com site, as they update it usually before WDW updates the online one on the WDW site.
And yes the TA Calendar normally comes out before the hours are posted on WDW site.

I've been checking the TA site multiple times a day! Nothing yet! I'm gonna go crazy!!!

Question about Wishes. I know you can see the fireworks better but how close are they? DD doesn't like the noise so if it's close it's a no go for us. If you can just see them better becuase you are at a higher level, I want to look into it more.

TIA

Bets, almost 2 weeks on your own??? HEAVEN! :cloud9:

I am new here and going to be at the POP Oct 15-23. I am IMpatiently waiting to see if free dining comes out for my dates! I'm also waiting for MNSSHP dates and for the rest of October's Airtran schedule to come out as I can see when I can get to DW, but I don't know when I can get back home! Basically, I am just waiting and waiting and obsessing and obsessing until I can been done waiting and waiting! :rotfl: I look forward to waiting it out with the rest of you! :)

Me too!!! i can't wait- come on people, get them up now!!!! i was hopeful it would be this week- total bummer! of course it was a crazy week at work and i wouldn't have had time to work on my schedule anyhow, so maybe that's why. :lmao:

When you say see them better, what do you mean- are you talking about watching them from the Top of the World lounge (since you say at a higher level)? I wasn't sure. I've watched them from TOW and it was fabulous. Not as loud as seeing it from the MK, but you can still hear a little. If you watch from inside, it is better noise wise and they crank in the music too. I watched from inside mostly (just too darn cold to watch from the balcony!). Or are you talking about the WISHES dessert party? if so, that isn't a 'higher level', it is just a location a little further back. It might be a little higher up than ground level, but not much. Plus, there is a roof over the area, so if you are seated in the back, you will have an obstructed view unless you move up or stand near the railing (which when i went, the CMs didn't let you do). We were lucky and got front and center placement- the closet table with the best possible view, no roof in the way. we loved it.

Happy St. Patrick's Day!!!!!
hey there- yeah for a solo trip! We are there the 14-22 at BLT! :wizard: Since you are solo, ADRs might not be as big of a deal, if you are okay with sitting at the bar or something at some places, that offer it. since it's just you- go with whatever----heck, if they don't have availability somewhere you want, it isn't like you have to get the opinion of 4 others in your group, you just move on to the next location you want to try or go for QS. ;)

Exw, yes, sorry I did mean the dessert party. From the pics it shows it looked like you were in a place that was on an upper level. I figured the view was better since the party was dessert during the fireworks. I was just hoping it wasn't too close so the noise wouldn't be too loud. DD hates the "boom".

Thnx for th info.

Still waiting on those dates!! I got my WDW vacation planning DVD today. I look forward to checking that out. I still haven't booked yet. My preference is CRS with the hopper and the DDP but it is just more than I expected. Waiting a few more weeks to see if any discounts come out and then I need to bite the bullet and either book it or get the value's :(. Either way I want it booked before the 180 mark so I can make my ADR's right on time!! :)

Hey October peeps! Happy Friday to all!:yay:

And here's to hoping the Park Hours are out tomorrow!:cheer2:

The location of the Dessert Party is right on Main St. so it is pretty close, and you can definitely hear them. There is a lot of music though, so it helps cover some of the really loud "booms" etc.

Also if you do go ahead and book, and then a discount comes out, you can always call and see if they can apply the discount to your reservation. Usually it's not a problem.

Happy planning!

I *think* I am joining in... I am currently booked under FD for September dates, but I am pretty sure I will be switching my dates to October. I am really hoping for FD though, and it might keep me from switching if I can't get a discount... But I am going to plan both and then decide later! My dates would be 10/24-10/28 at Pop with QSDP! It will be me and my DS3 Jack!

I was able to click on the link above for the TA site, but how can I CHECK for October 2011? :confused3 Are all of you Travel Agents? If not, how are you accessing the TA site? Thanks for any help!

I switched back to October, hopeing for better weather not as hot and humid as September. We cut back our trip from 8 Nights to 6 due to the higher room rates and no discount. DH did get a pin for 20% off so it helped a little but I am much happier no longer worrying about all that heat and humidity, plus was really looking forward to F&W Festival but not being there on opening day/weekend....those crowds scared me. I think mid-Oct has to be better.
We are going Oct 19 to Oct 25 and can not wait.

Hope some discount or FD is offered so you can switch to Oct

The hours for October 2011 are not out yet....hopefully soon though.
If you have the link you don't have to be a TA

Normally how it seems to work is the TA site gets the hours and updates their calendar before Disney posts/updates the Disney.com site(this is why the TA Calendar tends to be more accurate once the hours come out)

Thanks! I get it now. I knew 2011 wasn't out yet but I guess I didn't realize the Oct. 2010 link would BECOME the Oct 2011 link! :upsidedow I'm a little slow sometimes! ;)

No worries, we all have our moments

I do find looking at a previous years hours helpful to make my "tentative schedule" then just adjust as needed when the official hours come out especially if the hours come out close to when my ADR have to be booked. This year I should have lots of time to plan since I don't make ADR's until April 22.
