Disney is great with the allergies. My husband has Celiac and they really took care of him at all places. We were staying at POP and the head chef came out and sat down with us and went over all the options with my DH. Gave him a phone number to call if he wanted something special like pizza and they could have it shipped from another kitchen if need be. At each TS the chef would go over the menu or walk around the buffet explaining everything. A few places they even had gluten free rolls all ready for him.

That's so great to hear!! Only at Disney, right? It's going to make this first vacation with it so much easier and it's great to hear these stories!!

Just joined the thread, but we are going October 2-9.

It will be me (29), DH (37), and DD (2). Although it's not our first trip, it's our first week-long trip and the first trip where DD will actually know what's going on.

Planning on being at MNSSHP on October 7 for our 5th Anniversary :goodvibes

exwdwcm,
A good time was had by all - thanks for asking. May I ask what was your job at WDW and how long ago?

I broke into the 80's! 89 Days to go!

:banana::cool1::dance3::cheer2::yay:party::jumping1::dogdance:

And the creepy guy for good measure! :dancer:

Oy, we have got to stop using him! :rotfl:

So jealous of your 80s!!! I need to go shopping to get over it. :lmao: (Ok, it's just to the dollar store to buy utensils for DD's 3rd bday party NEXT MONTH, but it's still shopping!!! :rotfl2:)

He IS creepy, but is it wrong that I was amused by seeing him showing up in many posts over the last few pages :joker:!

Ugh, this weather is definitely wrong in Chicagoland (and many other areas); I could be in FL in July where it's a few degrees cooler and 20% less humidity :faint:!
So do your best to stay cool and let's keep the countdown party going :mickeyjum:goofy::dogdance::donald::simba::sulley::maleficen

Just changed the first three nights of our trip from CBR to All Star Movies. Our friends who are traveling with us have a 5 yo who is a Toy Story Fanatic so we thought it would be fun for her. I am excited too. This is the resort we stayed in on our very first family trip almost 10 years ago!:cloud9: Still have WL for the last 4 nights!:cheer2:

It is definitely ridiculous hot! Brent is playing softball right now :scared: I stayed home on the couch in the air with the dogs. WAY too hot!

Happy Bday to my Ellie-belly today! She turned 7 :)

DH got a bonus at work today so we have the money to buy our MNSSHP tickets. Now I can't decide if we want to go on the 18th or 20th. Price is the same one is tueday one is thursday. Either works with our touring plans. What dates are you doing mnsshp. I thought there was a list somewhere but don't really want to go looking through all the pages to find it.

Another one here complaining about the heat! This is crazy for MN. My son left crayons in the car and they melted into a big mess in the cup holder of his car seat. Any suggestions on getting that out? :confused3

If his cup holder comes off - stick in in the freezer then carefully chip away the frozen crayon. Same thing happened yesterday to us and that was the only thing i could think of that worked. Don't you love this weather.

That is a fabulous idea! Thank you! But alas he has a Nautilas and the cup holder is built into the seat. IL's do have a chest freezer though....

sure, I worked at Hollywood and Vine restaurant at DHS in 1996. It was a cafeteria then serving breakfast and lunch only- no characters. yep, had a fabulous 50s cafeteria lady costume too. :rotfl::lmao::thumbsup2 I walked by Starring Rolls everyday, since I came in the cast entrance right there, but never realized those delicious cupcakes were right within my reach! :upsidedow

woo hoo! congrats! we are there on the 18th- i know at least a few of us are - Julie (mousescrapper) and we are planning to meet up sometime that night! She has an amazing costume you don't want to miss seeing! :thumbsup2

Count me in on the heat whining. After living in Dallas, TX my whole life, you would think i would be used to it, but I'm not and I still complain. We are going on 3 weeks of 100 plus here. I get depressed seeing the weather forecast and it is all 100-103 every single day! why do i live here again? :confused3

The 18th is better - I'll be there!
I agree- the 18th!!! We are there then too!

IKR! We leave for Myrtle Beach in about 2 weeks and it's actually COOLER down there!

Awwww.....How sweet of you to change your plans!:)

Happy Bday to my Ellie-belly today! She turned 7 :)

:bday:

So what do you have left to do?

This weekend I plan on doing a little packing inventory and make a list of what else we need to get. We are not doing matching shirts, but themeing our outfits so we don't clash in pictures. The kids will have a character shirt for each park day, and we'll be in solids to coordinate (DH won't do matching). I've been buying stuff for the kids here and there so I need to see what I actually have.

I also need to look into the autograph books as I don't think i'll have time to make one.

YEA!!!!! Doing the double digit dance today! 99 days and counting - inflating the dollar store palm trees and "breathing life" into the pink flamingos, baking a key lime pie!
I do feel for everyone induring the intense heat. I live in the mountains of Colorado and have worked with quite a few Texans, Floridians taking a respite from the heat. I, for one am desperately holding onto the summer as it is much too brief up here!

Here's to hoping for a discount announcement soon!

We're going on a Tuesday. I had originally thought Thursday but changed to Tuesday because I thought the crowds might be less. I might be talking out my, well.... :rolleyes1

I still need to buy my discounted Photopass CD. I've been putting it off but it's about time to do it. Something keeps coming up each month to take that money away, but DH gets a little bonus this month, so I'm going to earmark it for that. And I mean a little bonus, so there isn't much else to do with it, really.
