So what do you have left to do?


This weekend I plan on doing a little packing inventory and make a list of what else we need to get. We are not doing matching shirts, but themeing our outfits so we don't clash in pictures. The kids will have a character shirt for each park day, and we'll be in solids to coordinate (DH won't do matching). I've been buying stuff for the kids here and there so I need to see what I actually have.

I also need to look into the autograph books as I don't think i'll have time to make one.

It's just DH and I going this time around so less to do planning wise, but we did decide to wear matching shirts that we will make with the designs on the disign boards..need to do that yet! Need to send my payment for our part of our photopass share. Gotta get our passports as we are doing a cruise as well.

I still have to get passports, ours expired and dd has never had one I best get on it I know......... I need to do the envelopes for mouse service, do a packing list, pickout new luggage (mother in law getting us new for xmas early) and oh I dunno probably more lol.

How old is your DD? She won't need a passport until the age of 18 I believe unless you guys are flying across the border she MAY need it then. If you are driving into the states she definitely won't need one just her BC.

Today, not so much! We have a community pool we have passes and I had the day off so we went to the pool. There is a rock formation thing that kids can climb on-which Ellie always wants to do. The oldest and I went back to the chairs to get on sunscreen during the break while she was playing on the rocks. All of a sudden I saw a woman holding her hand walking towards me, her scream "mommy" and then I saw the blood! She had fallen and bashed her nose on the rocks and had one of the worst bloody noses I have ever seen! We were in the lifeguard station for a good 20 minutes getting the bleeding under control and the rest of her cuts and scrapes bandaged up. I almost passed out there was so much blood She is better now. Just sounds really nasally from her really swollen nose. I'm hoping the blood comes out of our 3 beach towels and both hers and my swimming suit. There really was a lot of blood on all of them.

Happy belated Bday to your DD..my youngest turns 7 on the 29th! But, poor her and you on the boo boo from H-E- double hockey sticks!! It ain't summer without a few bandaids, but that was going way above and beyond the call!!! Poor thing...hope she is able to breath with all the heat and smog it may be harder for her with the swollen nose.

Thanks! It was definitely a scary moment. She isn't going to play on the rocks anymore. I wouldn't be surprised if they don't allow kids to play on the rocks at all anymore. They are more of a decorative thing that kids climb on more than a play thing.

Surprisingly enough today there is no swelling, no bruising, no nothing!

Ohhh, I thought it was a rock climbing thing. I'm surprised they allowed kids on that thing at all. Well, I'm glad she's ok.

OK I am all caught up here again! lol I've been glued to the BC thread and thought I really need to catch up with the October thread! lol

I'm on day 92!! Today is exactly 3 months until we leave. I can't wait until tomorrow when my ticker shows 2 months instead of 3.

We'll be at the BC 10/20 until 10/29!!!

I went ahead and canceled my Le Cellier for 10/24. There is just no way with all the awesome F&W stuff that I will be hungry for steak. Plus Jack wouldn't really enjoy it, so I will save it for next time.

lol I wonder if I took your ressie! I was excited to see a Le Cellier opened up for lunch that day.

Good news on the airfare. Gotta love SW. i keep checking but the flights I would change to are too high and my current flights are higher than my buy price. Still exciting to look though I am happy with our flights from MDW but would still love to fly out of MKE if the price was right.

Just a tad longer drive, we would have preferred using ME, but I had enough FF miles for a super cheap full size car rental for the whole time. I am figuring we need to leave for the airport 3 hours before, just like ME anyhow.

I didn't necessarily want to take the kids out of school on the 21st, but flight prices and times really dictated our trip. Plus we wanted max park time since this is supposedly our last trip in awhile. Which is what we said in 2009, then Brent and I went last year scouting for this years trip... plus we now have those flight credits to use

We are like you that not driving is part of our vacation, but we figured for the huge difference in price we would do Tampa instead. We already have the drive to/from MKE from Madison, doing Chicago was further than we wanted. Unless we REALLY have to use it, the car will sit for the entire trip like it did in 2009 I also got a restaurant.com certificate from Giordano's, we fly in during rush hour. So we will have dinner in Tampa, stop at a grocery store and then drive in.

Crystal Palace had a very good breakfast! The characters at 1900 Park Fare's breakfast were by far the most enthusiastic when I stayed last December.

Never eaten at any of them, so glad to hear they are good. We're bringing the kids this trip so we're eating far more buffet/character meals than I'd prefer, but they will be happy.

As to Le Cellier, I made that reservation at my 180 days.

I feel funny doing both RFC and T-Rex since the food is so similar, but I have Landry's gift certificates from MyPoints (like $200 worth ) and my kids love the RFC at Disneyland. They've never been to T-Rex, but I know my 2 boys will love the theme (probably my 2 girls too!)

She is totally fine today! Thanks for asking! Surprisingly just a touch of nose swelling, but not a single bruise. Kids are amazing.

I agree that you will love 1900 PF and Crystal Palace! 1900 PF was my absolute favorite and we were there with no kids last time

I agree CP is our favorite Character Beakfast! Sad we ar not doing it this time but we are trying to cut back on so many sit down meals. With all of us paying adult prices it is sooooo expensive without FD!

today i am going to start working on all our different transporations so I have a feeling I will be asking a lot of questions today. On our first trip I made it easy for myself and only had ressies at the parks; not this time.

First question: We have ressies for the Spirit of Aloha at 8:00 on Tuesday Oct 18. We are going to spend the afternoon at MK then head over to the Poly.
So my questions:

Can I take the ferry from MK to the Poly, then take the ferry bake to MK to catch the bus back to CBR? MK is open until 12:00 due to the MNSSHP.

Also what time do you think we should head over to the POLY?

You could take the ferry, or depending on IF the monorail is running you could potentially take that. Then yes, you could take the bus back to CBR from MK.

Not to hi-jack, but does anyone know which of the All-Stars resorts is first on the bus routes for returning from parks? We stayed at the Movies last December and it seemed like we were always the last resort let off, out of all the all-star resorts

I had a 9:10 am breakfast booked at Kouzzina - this was just a regular old ADR. I just logged in and it now says Chef's Menu at CoraNation Room. When i click the link it says it's over $60 per person dinner??? WHAT? I booked breakfast not a special dinner? What is going on? Everyone check those Ressies!

Don't worry about that. It seems to be happening with Kouzzina and randomly with Flying Fish. I think they did a system update and added the new event. When they did, it seems to have changed all the wording on ALL reservations. Everything should be fine though.

This happened to me too!! When I went to try and "change" it (by just making another reservation which could cancel the Chef's Menu one) it prompted me saying do you want to cancel your Kouzzina ( NOT Chef's Menu) to make the new Kouzzina reservation. I xed out of it since I figure they must have just renamed it in the system or something.
