DOUBLE DIGITS!!! SOOO EXCITED.

So I need a little help from the pro's. How close to my trip can I make adjustments to my package? For instance if I decided to upgrade my dinning package, does that need to be done 45 days out? Or can I decide 2 weeks before my trip and change it? I believe you can upgrade your dining plan 7 days out and since you are upgrading and giving them MORE money (vs. less), they should wave the $50 change fee.

Also, as of right now I am booked with no discount and the OLD park tix rates (before they were raised a few weeks ago), if I applied a discount will I be charged the new park rates (like do the cancel the entire reservation and redo it)? Also, what about it I don't apply a discount and just upgrade my dinning? Will I be charged the new park rate or can they just adjust the dinning?

I was told that as long as I do not change my ticket selection, my rate would stay the same for the ticket portion. A CM told me this, so I take it with a grain of salt

Also, does anyone know if we are dinning with other people and we have a dinning plan and they don't can we still use our credits (TS dinning)?
You will only be able to use your credits for the people on your dining plan. The other people in your party MUST pay OOP. Servers deal with this all the time and should easily be able to divvy up the checks.

Sorry for all the questions. Any help you can provide is appreciated.

If I have any of this wrong, I'm sure someone will correct me, but the only one I'm unsure of is the first one. I know you have to add a dining plan no later than 72 hours prior to check in, but I'm almost positive I read that changes had to be done no later than a week in advance. Congrats on the double digits, but you forgot to pick a dance!

Hey Nikki I just changed my ADR from

Sept 30th San Angel Inn - 2pm
to Via Napoli - 2pm

So here is a arrival question for everyone...my planw lands at 10:45 and i'm taking ME to the YC to checkin and then heading out to Epcot to make my 2pm Via Napoli ADR. I don't think it will be an issue since we are just walking over to Epcot after checkin. Anyone think differently?

Geeze, I have a lot of reservations!!!!

ETA - I've also PMed the OP several times to be added to the dates/hotel list, but nothing has been done. I don't think they are going through! So I guess I'll do it here - Our dates are 10/23 - 10/30 and we are staying at the Saratoga. MNSSHP is on the 27th for us!

:thumbsup2

Thanks Smitch!! You answered everything and with the answers I was hoping for :) Ideally I would love for a discount to come out before my 45 day mark, if one does I will most likely adjust the dinning plan which I would be thrilled if my park tix prices didn't go up when I do this and for dinning with others they know they have to pay but I was just hoping I could still use my plan and not end up have to pay OOP (didn't pay to upgrade the plan then).

AS for my dance party:party: I am avoiding creepy dancing guy

Thanks again!!

Welcome to the new double digit dancers! Here is the creeeeepy guy just for you! :dancer: LOL

How is everyone's weekend going? Anything exciting? We've spent a lot of time at the pool with the heat wave, DD6 bday party is tomorrow at the pool, that will be fun!

My DD12 had her physical this week. She is pretty excited, she's hit the 5' mark, only a tad under 4" to go til she catches up to me. DD6(2 days til 7!) has finally hit 50lbs. That kid is tiny!

Yay for double digits!:cheer2:

Oh, I'll play!:thumbsup2. We are celebrating DD's 8th bday this weekend. She had the 'kid' party today and the family party tomorrow. She is getting a new bike! Shhhhhh - don't tell her!:yay:

We had our official Planning Party yesterday on Day 102 (we're all working Monday on Day 100). It was fun, festive - discussed ADRs, watched the planning DVD (again, but this time as a group), everyone won a good amount of "prizes" from the 50 question Trivia Contest. Our local paper has a section called Town Talk where they will print photos and announcements for free. I had an old WDW photo of the girls with Goofy printed with text reading - Erin, you just graduated from Nursing School, Victor, you just earned an engineering degree, Meg, you have become a teacher extraordinaire, so what are you going to do now...."We're Going to Disney World"! - It was a fun surprize for them.
NOW....we are really ready to a discount, PLEASE....

OK, so I'm in love :lovestruc with Disney even more now, can I just tell you??? I just (like 2 days ago) got diagnosed with Celiac (gluten intolerance) and looked up how Disney handles it and THEY ROCK!!! :cool1: They have tons of options and if you call ahead, which I will, and let them know on your ADRs that you have someone with Celiac they will have the chef prepare things especially for you to avoid cross contamination and come out and point out gluten free items on the buffets and such. Even at QS places they will prepare special items with a little advanced notice, like in separate friers, and even with corn or rice flour breading instead of flour breading on their chicken nuggets. Disney is so awesome to begin with and they take such good care of their patrons with allergies and you know all this, but when it acutally hits you and you find out how truly amazing they are, it just seals the deal that it's the most magical place on earth!!! pixiedust:

Disney is great with the allergies. My husband has Celiac and they really took care of him at all places. We were staying at POP and the head chef came out and sat down with us and went over all the options with my DH. Gave him a phone number to call if he wanted something special like pizza and they could have it shipped from another kitchen if need be. At each TS the chef would go over the menu or walk around the buffet explaining everything. A few places they even had gluten free rolls all ready for him.

Just now figured out how to post a picture in my signature and wanted to show it to you. Maybe tomorrow I'll try to add some closer up shots of at least the kids, but it took me so long to get the sizing right that I'm done with it for tonight!:rotfl:
love the pics! beautiful family!

Looks like several of us are arriving on the 15th! Anyone going to MNSSHP on the 18th? I am so excited for that - I've read so many things about how good the fireworks and parade are for Halloween.
we arrive on the 14th and are doing MNSSHP on the 18th too! can't wait. it is our first MNSSHP. We've done the MVMCP many times, so looking forward to trying out this instead!

what a cute idea to put it in the paper! how did all the planning go?

So glad the dates finally opened up for the Tomorrowland Terrace Wishes Dessert Party! We got a reservation for 9/29 at 8:05. It was the only night we could fit it in, but I'm a little concerned we won't want any dessert since we have an ADR at Boma that night. We moved it back to 4:30 from 5:40, though.

Also picked up what will be our Park bag yesterday, a smallish sling pack from Eddie Bauer. Hope it's not too small, but I think it will fit everything. And DH and I each got a rain slicker that folds up into it's own pocket, cool! :cool1:
