***Official November 2013 - Part II*** (that's right....we're that popular!)

Reading about the credit card guarantee/charge for missed ADRs got me thinking about being late. Last year we were about 15 minutes late for a Coral Reef dinner. We had left MK 90 minutes early, but then found the monorail was down. We waited over an hour for a bus (they brought as many as they could and I'm still impressed they were able to scramble as many as they did so fast). When we got there they told us we were late. We explained the situation and we were seated soon after and all was fine. But IF something like this happens again, is there a number you can call to tell a restaurant you are still coming? Or do they all hold your reservation for say, 15-20 minutes?

You just call the regular dining number. I know this, because I called it when we were running late once in 2009 and again in 2011 (and I have OCD, so you'd think I would have been ahead of schedule). I just called 407-WDW-DINE.

Hope this helps!!

The thing I read about linking your MNSSHP tickets to your MB is not that the linking will cause problems, but that you shouldn't actually use the bands to enter the parks for the party because the computer gets confused (especially between 4 and 7) and it might take another day off your regular tickets.

We're actually spending the whole day in the park one day and are just leaving briefly for lunch the other, well before 4, so I wouldn't think it would be an issue. But we'll have the card tickets, too, so we can just use them those days, to be safe. I would hope they've got any problems like that fixed by then anyway...

50 DAYS today!!!!! I can't wait!! I still can't believe we're in October already!!! Are you guys getting excited?!:cool1::thumbsup2pixiedust::hyper::hyper:

Waking early and going for walks....so you are seeking meltdowns now in order to make your Disney schedule meltdown-proof? :lmao:!

Exactly!! Meltdowns here = no biggie. Meltdowns at WDW = less WDW! Not cool! :-)

Anyone able to customize MB or make FP+ selections yet? I just made my FP+ selections for Nov 2-7, but I can't customize MBs yet. Other Nov check ins are just now reporting they can. :scratchin

My checkin date is Nov 21st (@ BLT). I was able to customize MB last week.

Would love some feedback on our plans for this year's trip.

Nov 21 - Arrive & hit MVMCP (first timers for the party)
Nov 22 - Magic Kingdom all day (BBB booked for the girls in our group & Liberty Tree for dinner)
Nov 23 - Golf for the guys and Downtown Disney shopping for the girls. Ohana for the whole bunch that night.
Nov 24 - Epcot all day (Family photo session in the morning @ World Showcase then Behind the Seeds tour in the afternoon. Garden Grill for dinner)
Nov 25 - SeaWorld and dinner with Shamu (I know, I know...just trying a little change)
Nov 26 - Fishing excursion then maybe mini-golf and try Beaches and Cream for dinner
Nov 27 - Hollywood Studios all day Sci-fi Theater for lunch and 50's Primetime for dinner
Nov 28 - Thanksgiving dinner at The Wave then start our trip home.

Suggestions are welcomed!:thumbsup2

Yeah, then it shouldn't be a problem. It seemed like the people who were having problems were the people who weren't using a day at the parks that day and were just trying to use their party tickets to enter between 4-7. The computer seemed to think that because it was before the official start it should just ding their park tickets.

Soo, what if I already linked my party tickets to MB?

I called yesterday and talked with a tech CM. She verified that My park tickets will not be impacted because of my MVMCP tickets. I guess all I can do is trust that she knows what she's talking about.

I'm thinking if we use the actual tickets to get into the party and not our mbs, then we can get in at 4 and not lose a day on our mbs.

They may have it taken care of by then, but if not, you still have a few options.

1) if you are already going to a park that day (either MK or any other) before the party you don't have to worry, your regular tickets already used a day and it won't use a second day so it will look for the party tickets.

2) Even though they are linked, you can still use the hard copies you have to get in for the party so you don't have to worry about which ticket the computer is using.

3) Use your Magic band and hope that everything works out, even if a problem arises that it did take off one of your park days it can be fixed when you get the time to (sometime before your last day when you need that day of park tickets).

It's not really a big deal, as long as you know that it *may* be an issue you can work around it.

I did the same thing when we were on a bus to MK then to WL for our breakfast at Whispering Canyon. There was a car accident outside the Contemporary and all traffic was stopped for like 20 min. They either gave me the # or transferred me to WC because I remember talking to someone there to let them know we'd be late. I figured they could seat some other people ahead of us who were early or walk-ups if they needed to. When we arrived we only waited like 5 minutes before they seated us.

Great idea to do the party the arrival day- worked well for us in the past.
Looks like you mixed up park time with some other fun stuff. Are ya'll going to try the Kitchen Sink at B&C? I keep saying I want to try it but never end up planning it in.
I see there's no AK day- is your family just not that into it?

Fastpass+: what do you think?

I was somewhat on the fence about using this. DH picked up the tickets from base yesterday, so I linked them with our mb's and then the option to add fp+ came up. I was curious, so I thought I'd at least check it out.

Our first park day is at DHS. It gave me a list of attractions available so I clicked on the three that are must do's: Fantasmic!, TSMM, and RnR. It gives four sets of options for those attractions you pick, or a sunstitution. For example, option C had put Indiana Jones in place of RnR.

The option I picked is perfect for our plans. It has TSMM return times 3:10-4:10, meaning we won't have to hurry to get there in the morning and will have time to do other shows and attractions on the left side of the park, including lunch at Sc-Fi at 12:20. Then RnR is between 5:10-6:10. I figure we'll get there towards the beginning of that window, and if time allows Taylor and I can do ToT as well since we'll be right there. Then we'll have dinner where we planned at Fairfaxe Fare, which is right there as well. Our time to arrive for Fantasmic! is 6:25-6:45. Then after the 7pm show, we'll be there for emh and can do anything we missed or want to do again! Now I'm getting excited!

So I go to our Epcot day. The only two I feel we really need to fp are Soarin' and Test Track (although we've done TT as single rider and gotten through quickly, even two of us riding in the same car sometimes). I stuck in a third option for Maelstrom or Spaceship Earth but both times got weird return times as a whole. We want to do FW in the morning then WS in the afternoon/evening. So I just went with the first two and it randomly assigned a third as Mission:Space. The times I picked are: 9:15-10:15 for Soarin' (great cuz we're eating cs at the resort so we should be there by then), 10:55-11:55 for Test Track (stomachs should be settled by then, and it gives time to do some more in FW), and 12-1 for Mission:Space. We may cancel that one as Taylor will likely be the only one doing it, but that would save time if he wants to ride it. then we'll have the rest of the day to eat and play in WS, and there's emh 9-11 for anything we miss in FW. Still working out great!

Next is our MK day. I tried to pick ones that I know we always wait on or fp. These worked out well too and helped me think of an order to kinda do the "lands" in. We always head to Adventureland first to do PotC, then we'll do whatever else in that area we'd like. We'll head back down Main St. to Tony's for lunch at 12:40. Then we can head to Tomorrowland and enjoy the other attractions till our 3:10-4:10 fp at Space Mt. and 4:20-5:20 at Buzz. We have a 6:20-7:20 fp for BTMRR which is prefect cuz we plan to eat dinner at Pecos Bill's. Then we can spend the rest of the evening doing whatever we missed. W're also coming back for emh our final night, so no rush. I'm liking this fp+!

Final park day to plan is for AK. We have Boma for breakfast at 7:45 then we'll be heading over. We usually do an earlier safari, but then we criss cross the park a bunch and never really make a set plan. The options I chose gives us a great touring plan. We'll go through the Oasis and to Dinoland first for Dinosaur! Then to Asia for 10:10-11:10 fp on EE, the Jungle Trek, Kali River if we want, and lunch at Yak&Yeti cs. We'll head to Africa next for 1:10-2:10 fp for the safari, Rafiki's, and the forest trail. Finally we can explore the Discovery Island trails before our 4:05-4:25 fp at FotLK. All worked out!

Does anyone have any information on the dates on when the resort decorations will go up. I am specifically looking for the gingerbread tree at the Contemporary and the gingerbread house at the Grand Floridian. Thank you!

Just an FYI, the F&W booths are not open during EMH.

I did FP+ just because too. Not really necessary, as we are in each park for the am, then over to F&W for the afternoon/evening. And we have found doing TT or M:S after F&W, not such a good idea. Soarin' is a good evening FP+ or visit during EMH! It was fun thinking about our usual route through each park, and organizing the FP+ in a logical manner. Can't wait to try them out in four weeks!
