***Official November 2013 - Part II*** (that's right....we're that popular!)

It will be a month before his 7th birthday so I really don't want to rent a stroller, but I also don't want my days ruined.

My youngest was 8 before we were able to stop the stroller. Disney is just too large and spread out and nobody wants tired cranky kids. We would bring an inexpensive umbrella stroller from home and it was great. We could do more things and she was much happier:goodvibes

That is too funny. Last night I was in bed watching Stargate SG-1 while reading a travel book on Disney. I have a HUGE crush on Colonel O'Neill and I watch reruns of SG-1 all the time (thank you Amazon Prime), I even fall asleep to the show. Anyway, my husband saw the book and the show and said if Colonel O'Neill ever showed up at Disney I'd probably have a stroke.

:rotfl::rotfl2:

Disney had an announcement there starting full rollout December 1 they called it a hard full rollout

We are going 10/31-11/9. I had an 8:10pm dinner, which was a little late for my 5yo, but finally snagged a 6:50pm! I have been searching for over 2 months and this is the first ADR I have seen pop up for a party of 5 before 9:45pm.

Now if only we could get a BOG dinner we would be set. But I'm resigned to do lunch there.

Congrats on scoring the better time for Ohana. Don't give up on BOG dinner, the closer you get the more cancellations will show up.

Slap some Mickey Ears and a Tiara on them and be good to go for Halloween.
AFter all priorities!!!!
:lmao:

Oh heaven forbid that I suggest what they be for Halloween. That's guaranteeing that they would never ever pick that!

Whatever they wear though is getting worn on the plane. Chances are when they get home from their hour of trick or treating, we will have to jump in the car for the airport.

TSA will love that! :crazy2:

Disney had an announcement there starting full rollout December 1 they called it a hard full rollout

The announcement was posted on WDW News Today:

"For several weeks now, MagicBands have been distributed to guests at select Disney resort hotels so they could test out all of the exciting facets of the MyMagic+ system. Well, the final roll-out dates have been announced for the remaining resort hotels and we now know when Disney plans to take the system out of the testing phase and finally introduce the world to a new way to experience a Walt disney World vacation…

Currently, you can only get MagicBands if you are staying at Disney’s Contemporary Resort & Bay Lake Tower, Disney’s Pop Century Resort, Disney’s Yacht Club Resort, Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge, Jambo House Villas, and Kidani Village, Disney’s Art of Animation Resort, Disney’s Beach Club Resort & Villas, Disney’s Polynesian Resort, Disney’s Port Orleans Resort Riverside & French Quarter, Disney’s All-Star Movies Resort, and Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa.

Testing begins at All-Star Sports, Disney’s Boardwalk Inn, the Boardwalk Villas, and Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort on October 7th. October 14th brings All-Star Music, Disney’s Coronado Springs, Old Key West, Wilderness Lodge, and the Villas at Wilderness Lodge online. Finally, Disney’s Fort Wilderness and Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort and Spa will be the last to begin testing on October 21st.

Resort guests should either receive a mailed invitation or be able to add MagicBands to their reservation through DisneyWorld.com. You will only be invited if you have a room and ticket package at the very least, to the best of our knowledge.

All testing is set to conclude on November 30th, meaning that December 1st, 2013 is set as the hard roll-out date for MyMagic+ for all Disney resort guests. Annual passholders and non-Disney resort guests will continue to use hard tickets until further notice and it remains unclear if those not staying at Disney hotels will ever get one."

Thanks and here's hoping! Honestly I am ok if we just do the lunch FP. There's way too many mediocre reviews on here of dinner, so I'd be ok sticking with lunch.

My problem is he is already over 4 feet and weighs 65 pounds. Those little umbrella strollers just can't contain him.

He's probably right ;)

Please post links for the passport print offs! I'm wanting to make 2 for our November trip! Any idea how much the passports in Epcot cost and what shop sells them?

Ok, here is the Holiday one. This was created by Donatalie who isn't a DISigner anymore. I reformated it here for easy printing.

This is another Donatalie passport for Drinking Around the World.

Also, this is a really great reference page for other things you can make. When we're staying on site I make a ton of stuff. (See my sig.) And this is a great resource that I go back to a lot.

So excited!:yay: After over two months of searching for better dining times for some ADR's, and especially Ohana, all of a sudden I found 2 of them within 5 minutes today! I had to swap days but it's still good.

So now we have received Mickey Mail, gotten our MB, ordered extra luggage tags, registered with ME, gotten a FP+ for lunch at BOG, done some days of FP+. All I am waiting for is my Disney Rewards certificate in the mail so I can order my Photopass+.

Now if only I was ready for Halloween.:headache: The kids won't even give me an answer what they want to be.

I am soooo happy about the earlier O'hana reservation!!!! :cool1:

And I agree also about the 5 family members in the villas. I don't understand why villas (except OKW) fit only four. :(

Also....something I discovered when making reservations: I made them for 6 people instead of 5. When we show up, I'll just tell them one of my party decided to stay back at the room. And I did make them with a 6th person in mind, I just don't think he'll be able to make it.

Woo hoo! The guy from the base rec. center just called to say our WDW tickets are in! I expected at least two weeks, but it was like 2 days! If DH can get off in time he'll swing by and get them, or I'll just pick them up on my way home from work tomorrow. Then I have to figure out how to link them to mb's and if we can do fp+. So happy!

Yay!!!! So happy for you!!! :yay: :dance3:

Yes, everything about Disney for families of 5 is inconvenient. I too, am guilty of the making ADR's for 6.

Thanks for sharing all that.

At least the the new ones at the GF sleep 5, even in their studios do. They need to replace the chairs in the other one bedrooms with pull out chairs like OKW has. Or at the very least allow you to bring a blow up mattress as long as the people sign off that they know there aren't 5 sleeping areas in the rooms. Since they are larger than the regular rooms it isn't like they are restricting it for fire code reasons.

For some reason, SOMETIMES, there is more availability for 6. I know that does not make sense, since clearly a 5-top would be seated at a table for 6.

Oh I understand. Yeah, I tried that looking for an 8 top (when I needed 7) in case they loaded the table sizes wrong, but I didn't have any luck.

I thought you meant you booked a 6 top just in case someone extra was coming or something or so that you didn't get one of those round 5 tops that some restaurants have.

Reading about the credit card guarantee/charge for missed ADRs got me thinking about being late. Last year we were about 15 minutes late for a Coral Reef dinner. We had left MK 90 minutes early, but then found the monorail was down. We waited over an hour for a bus (they brought as many as they could and I'm still impressed they were able to scramble as many as they did so fast). When we got there they told us we were late. We explained the situation and we were seated soon after and all was fine. But IF something like this happens again, is there a number you can call to tell a restaurant you are still coming? Or do they all hold your reservation for say, 15-20 minutes?

It's Disney, so no doubt in a situation like that, they would do what they can to get you seated. And I would suspect the first few months there will be a leeway if you show up late. I mean, Disney likes to focus on family and kids. What family hasn't been late because of a 'tantrum' or other situation? I think the focus is to avoid the reservations that just skip out all together because they find something else they want to do. They just want people to start calling so they can give the table away to a family that does show up. I think it's a good incentive.

Thats a really good questions. I know when I'm late I like to call the people expecting me. I wonder if the disney dining reservation line would be a good place to call and they could give the restaurant a heads up.
I guess if we don't get an answer before i get there, I'll have to ask the front desk at the resort. I wonder if they would be the ones to call for you???

When I was there this summer, I got stuck waiting for Tinkerbell. The 45 minute wait wound up being 90 minutes. I called the dining line to check and let them know why I was gonna be late. I was told, and we all know to take responses with a grain of salt, that they allow 15-20 minutes before they release the reservation.

Your mileage may vary, past results are no predictor of future actions, many will enter - few will win, only the good die young.
