OFFICIAL - NON SPOILER Amazing Race: Unfinished Business Premieres 2/20/11

That was amazing to see the men encouraging and supporting Luke, it was very heart-warming!
I don't like Luke and I didn't really like his "It's too hard!" whining, BUT even I teared up a little when he finally finished and the men there picked him up and celebrated. I also admired that they did not give up. Still, I am happy they are gone, gone, gone.

Luke annoyed me crying all the time this is to hard. It supposed to be hard it for a million dollars.

I was happy they guys at the tea challenge were encouraging them on and lifting him up when found it.

I loved how quickly Ron figured out to smell the tea first, and I was surprised how long it took the others to do the same-especially Mallory who had savoured the tea in China.
Ron and Christina asked the tea lady what kind of tea it was, so they knew they were looking for a papaya/mango tea. The other contestants may not have put two and two together why they were bringing a papaya, mango and the tea to the judge.

I never liked Margie and Luke, but I did think it was cute the way the men were encouraging him at the end.

I was never a Margie and Luke fan either, but I did like her last night. She was actually encouraging all the players ans even cheering when they found the right tea. She certainly seems to have mellowed.

I'm starting to think that the "nice" editing is now the "kiss of death" editing for the team that's going home.

I loved Margie & Luke....
The tissues were out last night, sad to see them go.

Glad Marge and Luke are gone. So sick of his drama. What was so hard about drinking tea...suck it up and be a man and stop acting like a little drama queen. Next up to go, I hope, is Ron & Christina. I was tired of them the first time and they're more annoying now.

Rooting for Zev & Justin or the Globetrotters to win:thumbsup2

Didn't like the Snapple tie-in, but understand why shows do it.

Jim

Survivor does it a lot too and Jeff Probst had an excellent blog entry explaining why we are seeing this more and more. With the advent of DVRs and people skipping through commercials, this is the only way advertisers can get their message across. He says it's the wave of the future and I don't doubt it.

Even with the semi-annoying tie-in, I really liked last night's episode. I was genuinely tearing up when Luke finished the tea challenge and when FT and BE congratulated them.

Overall, I'd be content with any team winning this season. My favorites are still G&M and K&V, though.

Does anyone think they are showing less of the Cowboys as usual?
They are our favorite team as well as FT & BE.
At first, I blamed it on there being so many teams but now that they are whittled down a bit, it's still happening. Might just be our imagination but it sure seems they are not getting the airtime this season.

Luke is 25 years old and acts like a 5 year old. I really couldn't stand him this season.

Mallory asks Jesus/God for help for every single thing they do; guess she thinks he has nothing better to do than help her do tasks. ;)

Zev acts like a brat when nothing goes his way - it would have been nice to see him penalized for smashing a tea cup on the ground.

Not sure how Christina can tolerate being around her father at all.

Kynt and Vixen are too stupid to be deserving of any amount of money.

I can only root for Globetrotters and Cowboys at this point.

I admit to giving Zev a pass because of his autism. It's really something for him to go on AR twice in my opinion and keep it together as well as he does. Luke was a bit whiney, but I don't know what it's like to have his disability. Being deaf must really make the race more difficult.

This is the first seaon where I would be content with any of the remaining teams winning. Well, not Ron though.

Z.

I ask God to help me with a lot of my task I do everyday, I don't believe thinks any task are to big or to small to help with

I reacted the same way - he gets a pass on that one, but it is only because I know of his autism and how those with it can react to that type of high stressful situations. That was a pretty mild reaction. Those that don't know that he has it, more than likely looked at him as a bad american.

I personally think he has handled a lot of high stressful situations - in both seasons - very, very well compaired to how bad it could have been.

I think Zev has been amazing considering his autism...on the other hand Luke was a complete baby.

I have a cousin that's deaf and legally blind. He would never act the way Luke did. He approaches everything with a "can do" attitude.

My 14yo has asperger's, and I can tell you he would have had a complete and total meltdown if he were in Zev's shoe's.

Maybe Zev being older, he has developed better coping skills, but my son would have been crying...he would start to feel like a failure, which would escalate his anxiety...having to drink that much tea, getting full, and probably feeling sick, he would started to gag and eventually, he would throw up each cup he had to drink. We would be out, because it would have become physically impossible for him to finish.

Mind over matter for an asperger's kid is extremely difficult. If the worst thing Zev did was drop a glass, then he did an amazing job keeping it in check. My son probably would have not just dropped the glass, but smashed the glass.
