Doing MNSSHP Oct.30th and just hoping to do a counter service when we are hungry. DH doesn't like too many ADR's as he feels that we're always runnning around to get to them on time when we're having a great time. Do you think we'll be O.K. doing counter service or should we try to make ADR's (that's if we can get them now!)?

I am along with those of you who are being very "secret" about taking a special somebody there for the party. It actually started with me planning a birthday gift for my fiance / Christmas present because it took a few more $$ than I usually spend! :lmao: Then I decided what better time than Halloween, since it is our FAVORITE time of year and we always go all out for it anyways!

His actual birthday is in August (the end of course, so I'm absolutely dying until I can tell him!!). I will prepare a bunch of little goodies as a "gift" to outline our plans for the week we'll be there.

We will arrive on October 28, I had thought it would be perfect to go to MK on the first day, and when I found out the MNSSHP was that day I about freaked!! How perfect!! So I bought our tickets all up with plane airfare and all - we should be in the park around 1 pm. I made dinner reservations at 5:15 (without knowing how busy these places will get!) at Tony's. I chose this place specifically because on our very first date we watched Lady and the Tramp together and it just seemed to fit perfectly. This is now our 10th year together and it will be wonderful to spend such a special time together and also celebrate our 10 years at the same time!!

This will be our first vacation together in the entire time we've been together, so I'm bursting, and since it's a secret at this point, it's just killing me! LOL

But it will only be his second time in the kingdom at ALL since he was a child so it will be that much more special for us to share together! And as for the party, I can't even tell you how excited I'm getting now after finding all of these posts here online!! Hearing 99.9% positive and exstatic feedback on the party!! I can't wait!!!! :cheer2: :cheer2:

The next couple days will be spent at the other parks within Disney, I'm excited to see the addition of Animal Kingdom since MY last visit - and fiancee has never even seen anything but MK and Epcot! It should be so cool.

And now I've actually decided after reading so much good stuff about the party, I'm going to save my pennies and buy us two additional tickets to the party on the 30th as well!!! So we will get not only one night but TWO!!! :rotfl: :cool1: :yay: :dance3: For two Halloween junkies, this will be the time of our lives!!

Now I'm trying to figure out some cool ideas that we can dress up as. Some I'm considering are: Pirates of the Caribbean, Jack and Sally from Nightmare, Haunted Mansion ghoulies, Alice in Wonderland characters, Fairy (not sure what he would be... ), Harry Potter characters, or Star Wars... but I'm still way open to any cool suggestions! We always go all out for Halloween, so this is perfect for us, AND we get to be kids and trick or treat again! You don't realize how disappointed we were when we attempted to trick or treat as ghosts in sheets and people thought we were too old when we first started going out.... :confused3 I just don't get why we can't! :lmao:

The 31st, we'll still actually be staying at the resort (we are at the All Star Music resort because my guy's a musician, so I thought it would be appropriate! LOL) - but we're gonna head over to Universal (is that taboo to say here? LOL) for their Halloween festivities. Then we have to bid adieu to the magical place and head back home on Nov. 1. :guilty: But we'll have many memories to take with I'm sure... I can't wait!!

I'm getting all sorts of tips as to what I need to remember at the party, but now I won't just have one night to get it all in, but two!! That riles me up, I wanna go now!! Just out of curiousity - the first night we'll be there is a Sunday - how crowded do you think it will get? I'm assuming the 30th - a Tuesday - will be much less busy, but any ideas based on past experiences from you guys?? Some people say it's not busy at all, no waits and such - but that seems to all be on weekdays. Would Sunday be just as easy going, or do you think it'll be worse?

Thanks for listening to the long blabberfest! I'm just excited!! :woohoo:

bulah1, it is not a blabberfest at all but a charming case of excitement and we can all relate to that.

My only regret is that I am not going to be at the party when you two party animals arrive. Bet you pick wonderful outfits and will be the hit of the night!

Have a blast and maybe we shall see you round as we will be there when you are and just up the road a bit.

Slightly Goofy :)

How sweet!!! I am excited for you....I cant belive you could keep a secret like this from DF:thumbsup2 I know I cant keep a little secret let alone a gigantic one like this:lmao:
I hope you guys have a wonderful trip! We will be at MNSSHP on Sept. 21-our first time!:woohoo:

I was interested in the face painting and such...

For those of you who might know - what kind of face painting do they do? Can you pick or do you choose from a set design book or something that they have? What areas is this available in usually? Seems like fun!

You should be fine doing CS. Just remember that during the party there are usually only a few CS open (usually Pecos Bills and Cosmic Rays). All the rest close early. We were hoping to go to Pinocchio's Village Haus before the MVMCP last year but they closed early. Columbia Harbour House was also closed so we ended up at Pecos Bills since that's the side of the park we were on.

Thanks loveswdw...we'll be sure to have dinner around 5 or 6 so that we don't run into any problems!

DD had her face done in Toontown. There was a board set up with several styles to choose from. I believe DD got the Tinker Bell/Fairy design.

We may or may not be going but if we do we are going during Sept 28-Oct 1 hope to see you all there! :woohoo:

Finally convined my DM and DSis! We will be there on the 14th. Party of 4. DM, Dsis, DD(almost 8) and myself. So Boo to you, and you, and you...... :wizard:

Luckily I already made ADRs at LTT for 5:05 months ago! Ate there last year with ADRS at 5:50 and were just exiting at 7. This year I wanted an earlier time.

Yea!!! We will be at the party with you on the 28th!!! It will be our first time!!! Woo Hoo:cool1:

Hi!

I must have been ahead of myself when I posted I'd be there on the 12th...Actually me and my family will be there on Oct.11th...

Thanks!:thumbsup2

I'm SO excited! I found some extra cash this month and thought I would spend it on some MORE excitement for my fiancee and myself...

I am adding on an extra MNSSHP to our vacation package! So we're not only going on the 28th of October now, but the 30th as well! This is gonna be so freaking cool!!!! Can't WAIT!!

After reading all the great feedback on these boards I thought it would be money well spent and will be totally worth it!! 30th should be pretty empty I would think compared to the Sunday date on the 28th - what do you guys think? How busy WILL Sunday be do you think? I wasn't sure, which is another reason I added the Tuesday - just in case we don't cover everything we had wanted to on the Sun!

:cloud9: :cheer2: :cool1:

Who says that cleaning the house cannot be fun and possibly profitable as well?? I may check my couch cushions. Bet I have enough there to pay for a meal at Victoria and Albert's. I have been too scared to look before. Thanks for giving me courage and incentive. :)
