Does anyone else overpack for a disney trip?

LOL - I have 1 outfit for each day, 1 outfit for each ticketed party, different shoes for each, plus 3 complete other outfits "just in case" and extra under clothes and socks. Oh, and PJs......
:figment:
Absolutely my better half does. She has a suitcase that you could put an adult body in all to herself. I can fit all my things into a backpack (and usually do).

So we are very light packers- usually no checked luggage, etc. But our next trip will just be my husband and I and I think for the 1st time ever- we are going to drive down. With that- I might overpack a little and not have to worry about my carry-on!

When we drive on a vacation - evenn if for a long weekend - I ABSOLUTELY TOTALLY overpack - mostly outer clothing/coats, but other stuff too. Because I can. and Why Not. No additional cost, hassle. The extras usually stay in the car until needed....

It will be a short trip- I think like 3-4 park days so I am not sure how crazy I will get with packing! Usually our kids are with us but they will both be in college so it's a whole new world! :)

My spouse might think that I'm an overpacker..until he needs something that I'VE packed in MY suitcase. The truth is that I pack all of the "family" essentials (sunscreen, camera, umbrellas, etc) in my bag. He's basically only responsible for packing his own clothes in his bag. Sometimes he even manages to pack enough to last the whole trip.

I can't. I don't own enough clothing to overpack---especially for warm weather. I only own a weeks worth of shorts. :)

For Disney I don't overpack on clothes. But that doesn't mean I don't bring along stuff that I begrudgingly realize I didn't actually need. Normally in the form of things I can fairly easily buy with a quick trip to a Walmart like two things of travel shaving cream when I could probably just bring one and then buy another one if needed and whatnot. For Disney we do checked luggage plus carry on.

The other trips we've been doing in the last couple of years internationally and outside of our cruises we've only been doing carry on and personal item and doing laundry in hotel sinks as needed. That forces you to not overpack on normal clothes but I have still found items that I truly didn't need to bring, each trip is an adventure in itself on that front lol. I think my annoyance there is mostly aimed at the attempt to bring something nicer to wear (which also means nicer shoes outside of tennis shoes) for meals in which we would need to be more dressed up because those only get worn once maybe twice so in tight suitcase space it takes up valuable amount. The other aspect is because you can't count on a place having an item you need internationally like OTC meds.

That's a lot like us. Well my husband does bring his own umbrella but I'm often ensuring the travel sized sunscreen is filled up and normally that does go in his liquids bag due to space in mine it's making sure that it's actually been packed in his liquids bag. Then there's things like tums, ibuprofen, band-aids, etc that I'm the one who thinks about. Granted most of the time my husband doesn't end up needing those whereas I am more likely to but when he does need those it's because I've remembered them and packed them in with my stuff :upsidedow
